lol, the 8th inning was hilarious. Nice hustle by Atlanta's infield. tongue

It doesn't matter how they did it, but I'm sure the Giants are relieved to walk out of Atlanta with a win. This road trip has been bad, but if you're going to only win one game in a series of 4, make it the last. Zito's looking a little tougher out there than earlier in his tenure with SF, but I don't want to jinx it. The poor guy looked like he'd be receiving less than his (ML worst) average 2.5 runs a game from his offense before solid running and poor fielding by ATL gave him the lead.

Interesting note - Buehrle's no-hitter from a couple years ago was also an occasion when he faced the minimum 27 batters - his only blemish was a single walk, and the runner was then picked off first.

And apparently today's game had the same home plate umpire from the no-hitter game.

Now that's definitely an interesting fact - how many umps have been behind the plate for multiple no-hitters, let alone from the same pitcher?

Did you have fun? tongue

I'm relieved. The Giants, behind Matt Cain, are now again tied for the hypothetical wild card lead after beating Colorado. I don't see how the Rockies have been playing so well as of late..

I'm assuming you ate at the park. Now, I haven't eaten at Dodger Stadium, but isn't it the same ol' $9 hot dog and $11 beer?

I'm hearing that a few Hall of Fame inductees, to include Hank Aaron, are pushing on Selig to reinstate Pete Rose... and it's about damn time too.
