I was hopin' the Pack would make it in...it would've been fun to see Aaron play in the Super Bowl. Oh well.
Looks like I'm gonna be a Giants fan for a day...which is tough, since I'm a Dallas fan.

We still made it much further this season than anybody thought we would, and we're the youngest team in the league, so I've gotta like our upside.

This was going to be the Giant's game from the get-go. All the pre-game stuff all the bloody commentators basically kept saying how it'll be great to see the Giants in the Superbowl, and yada yada yada. How great the Giants have been, how (whatever) the Giants have been... blah.
And the stupid refs kept calling the tiniest things on the Pack!! But yet if the Giants did the same violation, nothing -no flag on the play. What the heck!!!!
I would root for the Giants in the Superbowl, but I know they are just going to loose anyways -they got lucky in this game.
This is probably going to be the 1st Superbowl I can remember not wanting to watch. I hate both teams - I think I'm gonna go bowling instead with friends.

The Giants got flagged for retaliating and handed the Pack a touchdown instead of a field goal.
And all your bellyaching about the commentators and such is nonsense.
Plus they all picked the Pack to win.

The commentators were right about how great the Giants have been towards the end of the season. They struggled hard core early on but everything seemed to come together for them finally.
Penalty calls always go both ways. The Packers did some stupid things and gave the Giants half the field on one of their TD drives. On the next, the Giants gave the Packers a crucial first down with a penalty. That's football.

Bringing this thread back from the cellar because everyone's favorite MTV channel for sports, ESPN, thinks they have the authority to take Titletown USA away from Green Bay and give it to another city.
This is an absolute insult to our Packers.

So fellow cheeseheads, what do you all think of the latest chapter in the Brett Favre retirement saga? It's starting to get on my nerves.
The only way I'd want Brett back would be if(unfortunately more like when) Rodgers gets injured. I can picture ol' greybeard riding on his lawnmower and hearing his phone ring. Then the next week he runs out of that tunnel again with the Superman cape flowing in the wind.
Don't get me wrong though, I want A-Rod to stay healthy and play the entire season. And if the green and gold have a miserable season, I'm putting all the blame on good ol' #4 being a major offseason distraction. At least we got an excuse.

Since I know A-Rod, I don't want him getting hurt.
And I'd rather he be the Packers QB, Favre or no Favre. But I'd feel that way whether I knew him personally or not.
If Favre comes back, I say we trade him.
