Hart is still a prospect and needs some fine tuning. The decision to bring up Fox was right IMO.
Lilly starts today and everytime he starts scares the hell out of me. The NL scouts have his number and his mediocracy is beginning to show

Sorry to be away... I am behind on the games from this weekend that are on my DVR. I watched Friday's game last night and can only say LOL @ Hill. I said "pull him" about 10 seconds before Lou pulled him. Bullpen did a good job pitching the game, in my opinion. Fukudome wasn't doing well and Soriano looked simply awful until his two-run homer.
I saw bits of the Saturday game but haven't watched the whole thing yet. Once I see yesterday's game I will be caught up.

Up, Lieber was crucified by the Reds yesterday. The Cubs suffered a 9-0 loss. They need to straighten out their starting pitching situation and they need to do it fast. It's very iffy bringing Lieber back into the rotation but I have to have some faith in our last 20 game winner. He had a terrific ERA before yesterday.
The D-Backs this weekend, In all seriousness our Cubbies are probably facing the next NL champions but the good news lies in the fact that we miss Webb's spot in the rotation

Yeah pitching is a mess right now. I've been saying that since last season.

Cubs sweep the D-Backs!!!
The NLDS is avenged lol
What makes this all the more sweet is that we came from behind in every game and Soriano played like we all know he is capable of. Bring on the Padres!

Winning a regular season series doesn't make up for a postseason series loss, unless it's at the end of a season and itself as postseason implications.
The Cubs didn't have to face Webb, which was a plus for them.

You mean beating the Marlins doesn't bring Bartman's ball back into the field?
Sweeping the D-backs is still a very impressive feat even when Webb isn't starting, they are probably the best NL team in baseball at the momment.

The Brewers kinda did us a favor by beating those damned Cardinals. Maybe the cubs will start playing more consistently from now on, they can't always depend on a big inning when the other teams bring in their relievers. But I'm glad they got the sweep!! yea
