He has attempted to start atleast one race, he is still listed as an active driver, but he has yet to make a race. I do not see the 09 on the list of cars who made the field, or on the list of those who missed the field.
What is your opinion on Aaron Fike getting arrested for heroin possession charges?

Why would he do that? He's got such a good career and now he blows it.

After the Shane Hmiel fiasco a couple years ago, I'm not suprised by this. However, being under the influence on race day? That's not acceptable at all.

Who won the race yesterday? I only watched the first 50 laps.

DarthMak posted: That was a vicious wreck. If that happened 10 years ago he probably wouldn't have made it. Great job by nascar with all the safety enhancements since the Earnhardt tragedy.
Seriously. I got a phone call from my mother asking if I'd seen the crash and I went and logged into nascar.com and was stunned. Unbelievable.
OK, this article is hysterical. Somebody backed into Elliott Sadler's trailer.

are we talking about the Subway Fresh Fit 500 or the race before it? Johnson won the Subway race *blah, probably cheated to get there*
I went to my first NASCAR race April 5th (The O'Reilly 300 at TMS); OMGosh it was so awesome to see Kyle Busch win, and I am sort of a fan of him! he did a beautiful burnout and I have video of it if I can ever upload to youtube. I just noticed as well that the #20 car is in the banner headline or whatever at the top of this forum. hehe.

DarthMak posted: I was quite suprised by Jeff Burton's criticism of McDowell. Does he ever say anything bad about other drivers? Give him a break, it's his first start. Then again, I don't think Martinsville is the best place to make your first cup start.
Keep in mind too, that if there were 43 Jeff Burtons out there every week we would all catch up on our sleep on Sundays.
if Burton criticized McDowell after his first race, then Burton's a jerk. Poor Mcdowell had that awful wreck at Texas; amazing he got out of it in one pice.
haha, I so agree with the 43 Burton thing. okay, I'm good now. I've never liked Burton; I dont' like Harvick either. Although, RCR would be a better pick if tony decides to move his contract there when his is up with JGR. Anything but Ganassi or Hendricks. *shudder*

DO NOT CALL JEFF BURTON A JERK BECAUSE HE WAS MAD AT MCDOWELL. Jeff Burton is a driver that rarely gets upset. If it was any other driver other than Mark Martin, That driver, especially if it was Tony Stewart, would be screaming about it, and this would still be a major issue. Imagine racing 450 Miles and having a car that should win, and some rookie who is in his first race, and is not on the lead lap, and is in no position to lose a spot, gets in front of you and blocks you, not just costing you the lead, but the second position. Burton has every right to have been upset 2 minutes after the race is over. If it was your driver who was robbed of the win, you would be upset to. NASCAR wants drivers to show emotion, if they don't then everyone would say, "Oh man, Jeff Burton didn't say anything bad about McDowell, what a sissy." Burton is a not JERK because he forgave McDowell before the qualifying for Texas and turned it instantly into a non-issue.
If McDowell was a better driver, or the MWR cars were good, then the crash would not have happened at Texas.
GO RCR

yeah, but the guy was a rookie. I'm sure Burton had a his share of wrecks when he was a rookie, so give him a chance. and I think it was more of the cars' fault than the driver; when Jeff Gordon had that big wreck and his radiator was flung over the track *don't remember which race that was* he should have been able to save it, and Gordon *I can't believe I'm saying this!* is an experienced driver. It was the car or the tire, I don't remember, that caused Gordon to wreck so badly. if I remember right, Tony had his fair share of wrecks when he was rookie, but he got better out of experience. Teh same I think will happen to Kahne, Montoya, Ragan, etc...; they're new to the sport. Give them time. Now, Montoya, I don't think there's ANY help for him because he can't take responsibility for his own problems.

I'm still trying to get my video of Kyle Busch's win up and every site is being ridiculous, so I'll post a few pics:

I was at the fall race in Texas in 2005 and it was a snoozefest. I'm going to the Coke 600 in May and I have a feeling that will be a long 4 and a half hours as well, but I'm excited to go to all of the teams garages again. Last time I went there was 2000.

that is a pretty long race. I think it was the lack of wrecks that made the TExas race so boring. NObody was banging or even hardly bumpdrafting! but it was my first race and I'd do it all over again.
