Apparently according to ESPN, after the Long deal became knowledge the NFL went to the Rams and told them point blank: You cannot annouce who your pic is nor negotiate with them until the draft starts.
Right, thats why I said in my opinion, not in the rulebook.

I'm assuming that's probably more of a player's union rule than it is an NFL rule. I could be totally wrong though.

It's pretty surprising. Harrison's been listed as a great example of a 'character' guy. But given some of the reports make me pause and wonder.
Anyhow, we'll see.

Harrison just owns the bar where this happened. It's standard operating procedure to talk to him. The guy wasn't involved with the actual shooting, so it shouldn't change anyone's perceptions of him.
