Spike..
How has the Hatton faithful been since hattons loss to Mayweather? Are they as enthusiastic for this malinaggi fight, as they were in years past?
Even though I can't really stand thr retread fighters getting title shots....I think Wlad and Hassim R. fight could be a food one...I hope!

The Hatton faithful are the same as ever. Singing "There's Only One Ricky Hatton" as I myself shall be doing on Saturday night. We think Mayweather Sr has given him a new lease of life, and from the training videos I've seen, Hatton looks like a new man.

Pretty hard to win a fight, when you can't hurt the other fighter.
If Hatton can learn from Floyd Sr. a la head movement, some defensive skill, jabbing as he comes in, and staying balanced...
Hatton could be very dangerous. I mean...heck...he only lost to the best boxer p4p we have seen in the last 5..6..or 7 years. There is no shame in that.
I actually applaud Ricky for hiring outside help, to get him to the next level.
One thing I will say...Paulie has some brass ones...he has no power, is pretty one handed anyway, but shows tremendous courage when he fights.

I really enjoyed the fight, and Hatton can only get better under Floyd Sr. I feel a bit sorry for Paulie, though. He could've lasted the distance, even though he was already well beat.
The prospect of Hatton facing Pacman, De La Hoya or Marquez for a super-fight is mouthwatering

I would love to see Hatton v Pacquiao...
That would be one of those irresistable force vs an imovable object type fights.
It could have the potential to break PPV records. Pacquiao has a strong American fan base...an amazing support from the Phillapines...and we don't need to talk about the support Hatton gets from the UK. As big as De La Hoya is, I think Internationally/worldwide...Hatton vs Pacquiao would be an event not to be missed!!!

If it happens in the UK, I'm going. No question.

The Boxing Thread - ***FIGHT NIGHT DISCUSSION December 6th (Multiple Fights)***
Tonight's the night folks. Its a huge one!
We have, in no particular order...
Las Vegas, USA,
Oscar de la Hoya v Manny Pacquiao
(welterweight superfight),
Juan Manuel Lopez v Sergio Manuel Medina
(WBO super-bantamweight).
Nottingham Arena, England,
Carl Froch v Jean Pascal
(vacant WBC super-middleweight).
ExCel Arena, London, England,
Enzo Maccarinelli v Matthew Ellis
(Heavyweight),
Amir Khan v Oisin Fagan
(lightweight),
Audley Harrison v Martin Rogan
(heavyweight).
I may be single tomorrow due to ignoring my other half in favour of tonight's fights.

Go to ESPN Fight Credential. Theres a punch by punch analysis on the whole fight.

Just...wow.
PacMan just DESTROYED De La Hoya.
It's bad enough that ODH had to pick on a lesser weight class, but to LOSE, and in that fashion...

Pacquiao fought an excellent fight! De La Hoya looked like he over trained, and might have done what some boxing experts say...he got old in the ring.
I would like to see Pacman v Mayweather. I think Pacman has the speed to match Mayweathers.
One thing I did not like, was Freddie Roach showing a lack of class after the fight, basically screaming to the world that he was right about De La Hoya not being able to pull the trigger so to speak.

Wlad makes short work of Rahman. Not entirely unexpected, really. But the heavyweight needs the Klitschko brothers fighting the young up and comers. Get fighting Haye, Povetkin and Arreola and then we'll have some interest in the division.

Absolutely. I am tired of the retreads getting titloe shots.
I am praying My favorite fighter, Evander, does not get decapitated in his fight with Valuev. Why is Evander even getting a title shot?
Haye, and Povetkin look a little mote polished that Areola, which is surprising, given Aereolas amature background.

The Old Man was robbed!!!!
I want Holyfeild to retire, but that decision against Valuev was a joke. That is what turns fans against boxing.....
and what a surprize...it was a WBA title fight.
