After watching Barry Bonds for 15 years, he is the greatest ball player I've ever seen.

The correct question should be, "Did he knowingly take steroids?" because almost everyone in the 90's used them. Just look at the Mitchell Report.

Andre Agassi.
A true sportsman and champion, and a man who went from being boorish at 20 to sublime at 35. I think it's the height of synchronicity that at the beginning of Agassi's career, he was playing Jimmy Connors and someone in the crowd yelled out, "He's a punk, you're a legend!" to Connors. By the time Agassi was finishing his career, he was the one basking in the glow of the crowd. His run at the 2005 U.S. Open was like Jack Nicklaus's at the 1986 Masters, and had he taken down Federer, it would have been an equal accomplishment.
He wasn't the best of his era, but he was its greatest champion and sportsman. On the playing side, he completed a career Grand Slam, plus an Olympic Gold Medal. The only other player to accomplish that feat in the past several decades shares his bed at night. I watched him win Wimbledon in 1992, the boorish one conquering tennis's most sacred tournament, and watched him win the French Open in 1999, thus completing that career Slam. His epic comeback win that day remains among the highlights of sporting events I've witnessed.
I'd be honored to shake his hand someday and tell him that he's the best athlete I've yet known of in my life.
