What happened to Eight Belles? They only say that he severed a severe injury and was euthanized. When did the injury occur?
Apparently she broke both front ankles. She collapsed right after the race, so it probably happened either just before or just after the finish.
She ran an amazing race, though.

And I'm saying that a post like yours can be taken as very offensive in a thread dedicated to horse racing. The same way I've warned people in the past in the Arena for posting in threads dedicated to sports teams about trash talk and the same way that I've shied away from saying anything derogatory in a thread about a sport I don't care for.
If you wish to discuss the treatment of animals for sport, show, bet, etc., you are welcome to create such a thread. I do not, however, see much gain from coming into a thread that is already about that sport and making a post that is, at best, borderline inflammatory.
And if you have further questions, I'd suggest taking them to PM with either myself, Kypt, or Rogue, rather than seeing this thread derailed at all, as there are two more races involved in this game.
