happy I'll try again, because apparently I'm the only person here involved with triathlons.

Any runners? I know you're out there!

I did my 3rd 5k this morning. It sucked, due to the fact I didn't have breakfast before the race, it was 95 degrees, and my ex-boyfriend (who finished ahead of me) went back and ran with me to the finish line. Urgh.

I'm not fast by any means, but I enjoy it because it's such a supportive atmosphere at a race, and I have a huge smile on my face the whole time. You should try it! It's just so great when, no matter what your time, dozens of strangers are cheering for you when you go through the finish chute. happy

Your ex went back to finish with you? Wow, that IS bad. Why didn't your ex just
throw bottled water at you from the sidelines... it would have been more merciful.
I had an ex who was returning from the Denali summit when her group got into some
trouble; wouldn't you know, the same day I was there. God has a sense of humor.
I was part of the team that had to head back up to help her group down. She acted
as if I showed up at 6,100m just to argue. Oh, yeah... that's why you climb, to get
away from it all...

Hope you work it all out. 95 degrees is nasty.
