Path Of Dreams
Chapter 1
Time and Again
“ Well, what do you suppose we do?” retorted Princess Leahna.
“ Maybe you could go to them, and try to negotiate peace,” suggested the ambassador of Tarrys, Saroc.
“ I will not, under any circumstances, do such a thing!” she contorted. Though Leahna’s long brown hair was a knot atop her head, and her abony green dress was sweeping the floor, her eyes were fire. “ I ask you to leave, and I don’t repeat,” she said, malice in her voice. Saroc’s long green robes billowed around him as he left Leahna’s royal chamber. Leahna slumped into her chair, sighing. “ Calin!” she summoned.
“ Yes, your highness?” answered Calin, her personal servant.
“ Call a meeting of the Council,” instructed Leahna. Calin bowed out of the room, long ruby robes swirling around him. Within minutes, the entire Council was sitting in the meeting chamber, Leahna at the head.
“ Master Sage, how do you react to Tarrys ambassadors swarming about Nebulan?” questioned Leahna. Leahna was looking at a strikingly beautiful female Jedi. Her hair was snow white, her skin fair, her lips golden red and her eyes maple colored.
“ I think they shouldn’t be swarming around at all. They are grubby pieces of dirt,” she exclaimed, a slight accent in her voice. The female Jedi had eyes that matched her clothes.
“ We cannot let them stay here and destroy my home,” said Leahna, murder in her eyes. Suddenly everyone just started talking and shouting at once. Leahna raised her hand for silence.
“ Quiet!” she screamed. Everyone looked up.
“ What’s the matter with you? Why start shouting when we have a meeting to decide?” she questioned.
“ I believe this meeting is over.” Slowly everyone got up, gathered their things and left, one by one.
“ What a waste of time,” sighed Leahna. Her long brown hair was a braided knot on her head, though her eyes were fire and ice.
“ I need to get outside,” she sighed. Striding to her private chamber, Leahna grabbed her silk pouch and left the palace. The marketplace was crowded and noisy. But the heat. Before long, Leahna was becoming dizzy and sick. Looking around, Leahna found a quiet tavern. Hurrying toward it, Leahna was cooled instantly.
“ You don’t want to be in the heat in Summer, Miss,” said a kind waitress.
“ Let me get you a drink,” offered the waitress with kindly eyes and a motherly face. The waitress led Leahna to the counter and seated her. A few seconds later, Leahna was handed a tall glass of cool, fresh ale. The princess felt refreshed after taking a drink. Leahna was putting her glass down when she heard a couple of strangers talking about a Jedi legend.
“ Did you hear? Obi-Wan Kenobi was kidnapped,” one said.
“ When?” asked the other.
“ Just three days ago,” answered the first. Leahna looked around, put two Nebions on the counter, and left. She stayed by the shops and didn’t stray into the sun. Leahna gasped at what she saw next. A little girl, being pushed around! Leahna stormed forward.
“ What are you doing?” she screamed. The woman stopped pushing the little girl around. The girl ran and hid behind Leahna’s skirts.
“ This slave was going to make me some Nebions and she messed my business with the higher businesses,” claimed the woman.
“ Well, did you know, you punished her in the eyes of Princess Leahna?” questioned Leahna.
“ Oh, your highness! I didn’t know! I didn’t know what to do with her!” cried the woman. Tears sprang in her eyes, saying that she didn’t want to be punished.
“ I will give you a warning. But if you harm another child or person that way, you will be sentenced,” warned Leahna. She walked away, holding the hand of the little girl. Leahna led the way back to the palace. When they reached her private chambers, Leahna seated the child on her bed.
“ What’s your name, little one?’ asked Leahna kindly.
“ I don’t have one. That lady said I belonged to Nebulan’s government,” answered the child.
“ That’s not true. You are your own person. I am the head of Nebulan’s government. I am Princess Leahna.”
“ What do you want your name to be?” asked Leahna in a motherly voice.
“ I like Padame,” said the girl.
“ Then Padame it shall be,” said Leahna. Leahna had been thinking that she either could find a home for the girl, or she could keep her herself.
“ How would you like to have a mother?” asked Leahna.
“ Oh, you could do that? Oh, I would love to!” exclaimed Padame.
“ Would you like me to be your mother?” asked Leahna. Padame only smiled.
“ Calin!” called Leahna.
“ Yes?”
“ Have all the Royal fitters come. Get the kennels to open. Get the highest toy masters here at once!” ordered Leahna. Calin bowed out of the chamber.
“ Would you like to visit my gardens?” queried Leahna. Padame nodded.
The walk to the royal gardens was considerably short. Padame watched in wonder as crystals cascaded from waterfalls and fountains. Birds of all kinds flew everywhere. There were many different kinds of plants and animals in the royal gardens. But there were special plants, though. There were crystal flowers, copper trees and many more plants.
“ Your highness, someone has arrived for you,” said Andrel, a guard.
“ I’ll be there right away. But first, take Princess Padame to Calin,” instructed Leahna. The redheaded girl watched as her new mother strode away.
“ What are you doing here?” stormed Leahna.
“ I’m just here on command,” said Saroc coolly.
“ Tarrys needs you to go. It is urgent that you go to the Senate.
They need someone with your potential to decide the problem they are presented with,” urged Saroc.
“ I will have more time to decide. Tell your Senate I want to negotiate with them,” ordered Leahna angrily.
“ But they want you to go now. It really is urgent,” protested Saroc.
“ But I cannot leave now. I have a daughter,” retorted Leahna.
“ But Tarrys needs a negotiator like you to help them with a presented problem,” insisted Saroc.
“ Fine, I will go. But I must be back within fourteen days,” decided Leahna. But she knew that if she was not back within fourteen days, her chance to adopt Padame would be gone.
“ I will make transportation arrangements. We will leave in the next fifteen minutes,” announced Saroc. Leahna hurried to find Padame.
“ But why do you have to go?” wailed Padame, tears swimming in her eyes.
“ It is important for me to go, Padame. It is a problem Tarrys needs solving.
But I promise you, I will try to be back within fourteen days,” said Leahna, hugging her daughter. “ Your highness, Saroc awaits you,” called Calin.
“ Goodbye, mother,” cried Padame softly. Gently Leahna held her daughter’s hand, then let it fall limp. Saroc was waiting for Leahna by their transportation, a bus ship. Together they climbed aboard. When they reached the reserved compartment, Saroc sat. Leahna followed suit.
“ You know, Tarrys needs a queen like you, Leahna,” said Saroc.
“ I will not be queen of Tarrys,” said Leahna angrily. She brushed a stray hair away from her face.
“ I need to be back within fourteen days, Saroc. I have a planet of my own,” she protested.
“ I didn’t bring anything. How am I going to solve your problem in my usual clothing?” cried Leahna.
“ That’s already been arranged. Everything you’ll need has already been arranged. But we need not worry about that now. We need to focus on the problem. You see, there are two many Jedi Knights and other creatures enclosing our planet. We think they are from the Sith,” explained Saroc.
“ How can they be from the Sith? They haven’t been near Tarrys or Nebulan for eons. And what do you mean ‘our’?” questioned Leahna.
“ Well for one, Tarrys is now our planet. You are queen of Tarrys, and I am grand Chancellor. But there are too many Jedi on our planet. But they are not the problem. You have been the problem, time and again.”
Chapter 2
Trapped and Growing
Saroc reached for Leahna’s hand. She flinched back.
“No need to be afraid. As long as you cooperate, no one will get hurt,” laughed Saroc softly.
“ Why?” asked Leahna, her voice murder.
“ Why? Because you would make a better queen on Tarrys than on Nebulan.
You would make terrible decisions. Nebulan would die out, unlike the planet Naboo. Naboo is a thriving planet, unlike Nebulan. Nebulan is a blisteringly hot planet. You would be a poor queen there,” laughed Saroc.
“ So you will be queen, or the Sith will either kill you or make you a Sith, for I am a Sith,” threatened Saroc.
Leahna stared unhappily at the floor. For the next half hour, Saroc continued to talk while Leahna planned her escape. When they finally reached Tallys, Saroc gave her a sharp jab in the back with his elbow, then followed her out the door.
“ My Jedi warriors will get you for this,” she spat into his face.
“ Well dear, what would you like to see first? There’s a Podrace in ten minutes.”
“ Sure,” said Leahna dully. I have to get out of this! She thought. Suddenly she had an idea.
“ What do you know about the kidnapped Obi-Wan Kenobi?”
“ Why, yes. I have him locked away.”
“ I would like to see him after the race,” requested Leahna.
“ I cannot let you do that. It is under my orders that if anyone but me see him, they will die,” laughed Saroc.
Leahna was sulky the entire way to the race. She became excited, however, when she heard the announcer saying the names of the racers. She became especially happy when she heard the name of a friend of hers: Anadelia.
Anadelia could get through and by anything without being caught, but the only problem was, she and Leahna were both prisoners of Tarrys. Anadelia Had been tagged, so she couldn’t be sneaky anymore. Anadelia was trained in the Jedi art. Even so, for that reason she was imprisoned as lower Chancellor of Tarrys. When she noticed Leahna, she waved excitedly. When the horn sounded, Anadelia jumped into her Pod. When the final horn sounded, Anadelia burst forward.
“ Saroc, we have to see her after the race,” begged Leahna.
“ Fine. but then we have to discuss problems about other planets,” said the Supreme Chancellor.

RE: Path Of Dreams
this is more of Path Of Dreams
The race lasted about forty five minutes. When it became clear that Anadelia had won, Leahna and Saroc left.
Meanwhile, ten year old Padame was pacing her new chamber, worried. How long would it take for Leahna to get home? Would she even get home?
Questions were buzzing inside her head. Storming, she went to Calin.
“ Calin! Where is my mother?”
“ I believe she left for Tarrys about an hour ago,” answered Calin. Padame left the palace and headed for the marketplace. Once there, she stayed in the shade and walked along the shops. Suddenly she saw someone ahead of her. But she wasn’t scared. Ahead of her, leaning on a tree, was teenager Anakin Skywalker.
“ Hello, Padame. Yes, I know who you are. I have been watching you from the moment Leahna brought you to the palace. I had been meaning to ask you. Do you want to be trained the way I was trained?” he questioned.
“ Yes!” exclaimed Padamé.
“ Then meet me by the fountain in the clearing tomorrow after breakfast,” instructed Anakin. Padamé had a restless night sleep. When she woke, she grabbed a bag and started putting clothing in it and anything else she might need. She didn’t care what she did. Just as long as she had gotten away from Leahna. Padamé had heard of Anakin Skywalker and his history. She didn’t know why, but at that moment, Padamé hated Princess Leahna. By about an hour later, Padamé was ready to be trained by Anakin. When she finally got to the fountain, she found that Anakin wasn’t there. but she did find a note with her name on it. It read,
“ Padamé, follow the road until you get to a little hut on the side of the road. Just walk inside.”
It was signed by Anakin. So Padamé set down the road until she came to a hut by the side of the road. It was a rather large hut, made out of the finest of wood. When she stepped inside, it was like it had expanded a hundred feet. Standing, with his back to her, was Anakin.
“ Welcome, Padamé. Yes I knew you were coming. I could sense it. I could also sense that you would make a good padawan in Jedi training yesterday,” he said, smiling.

Hey there! So Anakin thinks Padame would make a good apprentice. Interesting twist that she has to go to the shack, I wonder what Anakin has in store for her?

RE: Path Of Dreams
Leahna and Saroc had been faced with a new problem. Princess Amidala had messed with Sith operations and had been captured by four of Saroc’s strongest Jedi. She was quite a struggler, so the four of them had to bring the Princess to Saroc.
“ Well, well. Princess Amidala of Naboo,” mused Saroc. Murderous venom shone in Amidala’s eyes. “ You sly, evil Sith!” Amidala spat. Her long brown hair was swinging in loose waves. The four Jedi looked around, distracted. Amidala jumped up. She tried to run toward the door, but just before she could throw it open, two other Jedi grabbed her, pinned her down by the arms, and sat there. Amidala couldn’t move. She struggled and kicked, but still couldn’t get out from under her captors heavy holds.
“ Because you messed with our operations, your fate will be imprisonment,” claimed Saroc. “You shall not see any other part of this planet except your cell and few parts of this palace.” Amidala looked around, her eyes pleading for help. Her eyes rested on Leahna. Leahna walked forward, resting her hand on Saroc’s shoulder, malice glossing her eyes.
“ Why would I help you? I am a Sith Maiden. I don’t help good. I am only associated with the Sith,” sneered Leahna. Saroc nodded, and the two Jedi holding Amidala jumped up, and dragged a screaming Princess behind them.
“ It was the only thing we could do,” whispered Saroc in Leahna’s ear. He caressed her hand and kissed her cheek. Leahna walked to the window. The vast sunset was dawning over the planet. Saroc walked over and rested his hand on her shoulder. Together they looked out across their planet.
Anakin stood proudly next to Padamé. Her hair was swept onto her head, long dress flowing. Anakin stood next to her in his best clothes. They held each other’s hands. They looked out upon a vast sea. Anakin put his arm around Padamé. She smiled.
“ We will find them and kill them. All of them,” remarked Padamé.
“ Yes, we will,” agreed Anakin. They held each other as they watched the sun sink below the horizon.
Three more years had passed. No news about Nubulan. Leahna had almost forgotten about Padamé. She and Saroc had two children since they were married. Kyntasa and Luke. Kyntasa had the eyes of her mother and Luke had the body build of his father. Soon after they were born, Leahna started having strange dreams. One night, she dreamed that a cloaked figure was going to kill Luke. Another night she dreamed that two figures had killed her, Saroc, and left her babies to die. Twice she had woken in the middle of the night because of her dreams. They had been getting more intense every night.
3
Plans and Battle
Padamé and Anakin started making their way toward Terrys. They booked flights on three different pods and ships for next week’s invasion of Terrys. Padamé paced endlessly, her impatience grew each day. She sometimes stressed that they wouldn’t defeat the Sith. Finally, the day came. Nervously, Padamé and Anakin boarded their ship. Anakin squeezed Padamé’s hand lovingly. While they were boarded on the ship, Anakin double-checked that everything was in order. They knew they had a plan, but what they didn’t know, was that the Sith had outwitted them.
“ Are we ready?” Leahna asked Saroc anxiously. Saroc nodded. Tears slowly crept down Leahna’s cheeks. Saroc gently wiped them away.
“ Now, now, we can’t have that; I’ll be back before you know it,” Saroc said. He leaned down, kissed her gently on the lips, and embraced her like never before. When they let go of each other, Leahna reached up to grab Saroc’s arm, he looked back at her one last time. Slowly he started to leave. Leahna’s hand slid down his arm. When their hands touched, Leahna gently squeezed Saroc’s hand. His hand left her outstretched one. She stood there, rigid as a board, as she watched him leave. As had been planned, Saroc and many other Jedi went to stop the invasion. Leahna sank to the floor, head in her hands. Tears streamed down her face. She sat there, alone, sobbing.
Padamé and Anakin stood side by side while the ship landed. They walked first down the ramp. Walking behind them were at least three hundred Jedi knights, Gungans, and Droids. They walked steadily until they reached the leader of Terrys’ army, Saroc.
“ so you’re the famous Saroc, the one who kidnapped my stepmother,” sneered Padamé. Saroc didn’t say anything. Instead, he stood ready for battle. Padamé and Anakin embraced, then parted. Padamé walked away, toward the Palace.
Leahna sat there, sobbing. Every tear she had held in came flooding out. While she sat there, she dealed with her frustration, her anger, her unhappiness. Her head snapped up when she heard familiar footsteps hurrying down the hall. Her eyes filled with venom, malice, and sadness. There, standing before her, was Padamé. Padamé stood there, arms crossed, body rigid.
“ Thought you could, er, adopt me, did you? You said you would be home in fourteen days. Days! You don’t know how much I cried for you, wanting you to come home. But you never did! You stayed here and forgot about me!” screamed Padamé. Leahna shook her head.
“ No, I-”
“ I don’t want to hear your pathetic excuses! You left me and never came back! And it ends now!” Padamé roared. She lunged at Leahna. Leahna ducked. Padamé was sent flying into the wall. Angrily, Padamé drew out her light saber. She twirled it around her head. Padamé charged at Leahna. Before Leahna could dodge the blow, Padamé flipped over her head. She landed perfectly on her feet.
“ I was trained well,” she snarled.
“ Once I learned the art of a Jedi, I knew what I must do. I knew I had to destroy you, your beloved husband, and this rancid planet,” growled Padamé. A scream sounded somewhere. While Padamé was distracted, Leahna whipped a dagger from her knee-length boot. She launched herself at Padamé. Her heels hit the floor, and Leahna launched herself above Padamé. Before Padamé could whip around in surprise, Leahna had pinned her stepdaughter’s arms behind her back. The dagger was laid just barely in front Padamé’s neck. Padamé laughed haughtily. Inside, her panic grew. Instead of crying for mercy, Padamé tried to shape the Force to save herself.
“ Your pathetic Force won’t save you from the Sith,” snarled Leahna. Screams sounded from below. Leahna rushed to look upon the battle. Mostly every thing was dead. Saroc and Anakin were circling each other. Saroc drew out his red light saber and Anakin drew out his green one. They lunged at each other. The light was blinding as the two weapons clashed together. As Saroc lunged for Anakin, Anakin flipped over him and his light saber did its job. A look of pain crossed Saroc’s face. He kneeled over in pain. Leahna threw herself out of the window. She used what power she had to get to Saroc. When she reached him, she fell to her knees. Tears flowed down her cheeks in an endless river. A few fell on Saroc’s face. He smiled weakly. Leahna sobbed. Saroc reached up with a bit of his strength to wipe away those tears. With the last of his breath, he said,
“ I will always love you.” Leahna leaned her head down. She kissed his lips. He kissed hers. He fell back from her. Leahna held his head in her hands. Blood stained her skirt. It flowed onto her hands. When she jumped up, Anakin stood next to Padamé.
“ How could you!” screamed Leahna.
“ So that you would forget about the Sith,” snarled Padamé sulkily. Leahna glared at them.
“ You tricked me! You weren’t a poor girl who had to be rescued! You lied to me! I know who you are! You’re Princess Tenasa!” shrieked Leahna.
“ I’m surprised you could actually figure that out,” remarked Tenasa.
“ I swear on my Sith powers, you’ll pay for what you’ve done!” screamed Leahna. Anakin chuckled. He called his Speeder, and he and Tenasa climbed on. Tenasa embraced Anakin, and they sped off into the sunset.
That night was somber. As part of rule, the Jedi had to burn Saroc’s body.
Leahna was dressed in black. Her knee-length boots were black. She wore a veil over her face. Every Sith was circled around the fire. They stood there in silence, every face turned downward in respect for Saroc. After the burning, there was a dinner to give respect to Leahna and her dead husband. Leahna was standing by the window, when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around. There, before her, stood Darth Sidious.
“ I am sorrowed for what happened,” said the wise Sith.
“ Anakin was a pupil of mine when he was younger than he is now. He was jealous of anyone higher than him.” Leahna looked at him.
“ We’ll find them,” she said. “ I don’t know how, but we will.”
