Agentj, that was absolutely beautiful! The mingling of what was and what could have been was done exquisitely!
He witnessed Anakin's power of faith within the Force—something the Council had not been able to place in Anakin. He realised, as did the rest of the Council, that they had failed to protect the Republic from the Sith's wrath because of this simple lack of faith.
I became rather choked up when I read this particular passage. Both sides made their mistakes, and were finally able to accept it as so. *smiles sadly*
Again, you've done a wonderful job!
*pauses to look over at all the picketeers carrying signs saying, "SEQUEL!! SEQUEL!!"*

Of course I want a sequel! Are you mad??  Silly person. 
That was lovely.  The way it ended, full circle, to Anakin being there on Endor ... something very appropriate about that, about the journey he went through first, going from scarred and pasty ( ) to (looking ) alive and whole in ROTJ.
Perfect.  (But still room for a sequel. )

What a gorgeous ending! So that's how Anakin becomes a Blue Ghost! And Obi-Wan becoming a Jedi Grandfather (I used to think of him more as the crazy uncle, but this works beautifully). This really adds so much to the final scene of ROTJ. Yes, sequel, please!

That was a beautiful ending.  I love how it comes around to the ROTJ time again. They're still blue ghosties, but they've made up with each other, and are at peace, and they're changed too. Oh yes, I really liked how Mace said what happens to Anakin depends on him. The council finally realizes it's problem!

This is perhaps the best story I have read on this entire site! It's so beautiful and at the same time, heartbreaking to read.
This was delight to read, and am in need of reading more in the future.
Hopefully, the very near future

Like there was a choice?
But faith in what? what did he cling to? to hope? to the idea that somehow it would work out? to faith in the love of his child? to faith in the Force? What is faith in the force? If the force is the interconnection of life, then does that mean.. he had faith that life/love/his children would go on/be worthwhile..? Or are you reaching for a more Christian concept here, ie faith in a divine purpose/being?
And by the way, I love that you have made this suitably ambiguous (I prefer to think rather than be told) I think that it makes it more powerful...
