Time Frame: The Saga -- 5 years after the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire and the Sith--
Characters: OC--Azur El-Ra a Bothan Jedi Knight
Summary: One of many adventures my character will be taking over the next several years.
*These are some individual tales of Master Azur El-Ra a Bothan Jedi Knight displaced by the Jedi Purge
Chapter 1
"Stang!!! I have tried this maneuver all day long Master El-Ra, must I continue."
"You will watch your language young padawan. This is a very basic maneuver in Vaapad and must be mastered if you wish to continue your training and advance with the other padawans."
"Yes, Master."
"Now, this is a standard maneuver against a double-bladed lightsaber. As you swing up to parry, sense if he is going to come over his head or spin low and as the opponent starts his attack cut it off. Very good! Use the Force it is our ally and it will help you sense the opponents’ next move. That is all for today padawan."
It seems like only yesterday Master Windu was teaching me that same lesson. Only now do I really begin to understand the real lesson he was trying to impart to me, that of patience and trust in the Force. It took me several years after The Betrayal to even believe in the old ways again, but eventually I came back around. Actually it was a mission to US-1138 not long after we arrived in Unexplored Space...
"Master Jules, why must we continue to move from planet to planet? We are out of reach of the Betrayer and the Empire."
"Azur, we will never be out of reach of Darth Vader. Our small remnant of Jedi must keep moving to avoid detection you know that."
"Yes, Master but I hoped to stay long enough to enjoy some of the springs on the planet."
"Maybe next time."
Master Jules was a Zabrak female, one of the few I truly liked to be around. She was one of my trainers in the Vaapad classes when Master Windu was unavailable due to the Clone Wars. She was the one who showed me how to modify my lightsabers so that I could lock them into a double-bladed lightsaber when I wanted, or fight with two individual blades whenever my whims and the situation required. She is also the only one that knows about my affection for Kyrn a fellow padawan. She was lost during the Jedi Purge.
... Master Jules, Master El-Ra there is a situation in one of the Jedi settlements on US-1138 ... Bounty hunters are en masse... Your mission from the interim Jedi Council is to identify if this is a direct threat from the Empire and the Betrayer or just some unrelated bounty hunting... Jedi Council out...
"Congratulations Azur on your “official” knighthood even though you have been a knight for sometime as far as our contingency is concerned."
"Thank you Master Jules...Marla. Using your first name still sounds unusual to say. Then again so is knowing the Chosen One was nothing more then a betrayer of the Order."
"Anakin made wrong choices and chose the Dark path. As a student of Vaapad you know the struggle it is to stay on the path and you were raised as a Jedi from birth. Anakin did not start his training until he was much older. He had already known the sting of suffering and fear."
"It matters not. Anakin is dead and in his place is Darth Vader. I saw the devastation of the temple and would desire nothing more then to destroy the Betrayer!"
"Azur, let go of the hate or you will suffer the same fate as Anakin"
"Sorry Master, I’m going to go meditate before we arrive at US-1138. How long till we drop from hyperspace."
"4.3 standard hours, I will come get you just before we drop out. Rest well, Azur."

Djinn--this will be my last post for the night, so forgive me if it is incoherent....
very interesting story you have started here..it's a little vague & allusive in it's details, but I imagine you want it that way for now...so that you can "tell" us the story as you continue to post.

TurnedJedi I hope to keep your interest as I will be writing about him consistantly and would like to create an interest in the character
The lightsaber has been an idea I've had from the beginning for my character it will have more explination and history as The Chronicles continue.
Hope to have internet up soon so I can get chapter 2 up

Ha! And you're going through feedback withdraw? You're doing quite well for yourself. 
In all seriousness, though, this is quite interesting... It should be interesting to see the future adventures of Masters Jules and El-Ra (kinda sounds Kryptonian ^_^)
For some reason, I like El-Ra giving Anakin the title of Betrayal, but it seems as though he will be having a little bit of a struggle with the dark side himself, or at least keeping his emotions in check.
On suggestion I might give, unless this is simply a style you are going for, is to intersperse some description amongst the dialog. What are the positions of El-Ra and Master Windu like? What about the characters appearances like? What kind of ship are they in? Ect, ect, ect. You get my drift.
Should be interesting to see what adventures lie before our Jedi protagonists on US-1138. And, like the others have said, nice lightsaber... much more efficient than waiting for your enemy to slice it in half.

Chapter 2
“Azur, we will be dropping from hyperspace shortly and we will be landing outside the settlement.”
“I understand.”
“We will be under Protectorate Directive TH-x11/S for the remainder of this mission.”
“All these new Protectorate Directives, I can’t remember half of them...care to refresh my memory.”
“In the interest of preserving the remnants of the Order the scattered settlements of remaining Jedi must believe they are the last remaining Jedi, therefore when the Protectors are sent to any Jedi inhabited planet they must do everything in their power not to make their presence known.”
“Right, although you know I personally think we should mass for a counter-attack. We could…”
“You know as well as I do there are not enough of us left to go up against the Empire let alone Vader and Palpatine.”
As we dropped out of hyperspace and looked out on US-1138. I gasped, the emerald hue of the planet laid exquisitely against the star field as if the universe was set into motion for the sole purpose of showcasing this breathtaking jewel. Landing proved difficult as the landing zone was covered in a dense cloud. The ship touched down without a sound. Leaving the ship we headed towards the settlement that the bounty hunters had been attacking.
“Marla, I think I’ve spotted the bounty hunters camp just outside the settlement. What now?”
“Let’s head down quiet…”
“Marla!?”
“Hands up! Or I kill her.”
Not seeing any non-Force alternatives I did what I was told. I would have to bide my time until I came up with an escape plan.

Here it is the final chapter in this story thank you for all who have read and will continue to read my story and the many more to come
Chapter 3
Two days and I still could not see any way to escape without using the Force to aid me. I understood that the Protectorate Directives were in place to ensure the survival of the Jedi. Still I could not allow these bounty hunters to continue to attack the settlement. I would have to take some kind of action soon. At least I had gathered enough information to know that these bounty hunters were not tied to the Empire, but in fact stumbled on the settlement when their ship crashed.
“...Azur...?”
“Marla, you’re awake, I was beginning to think you were not going to wake up.”
“...Have you heard anything?”
“Yes, the bounty hunters crashed on the planet there is no mission from the Empire. Although if they escape there quickly could be. We have to stop them, but I cannot think of any non-Force way to do it.”
“I don’t think that will be a problem.”
It was then that I sensed it through the Force. A contingent of Jedi from the settlement was coming towards the bounty hunter encampment. I looked over at Marla and she smiled. It would all be over soon. The sound of blasters and lightsabers seemed to last for a lifetime. Then as quickly as it started it was over. Several individuals entered the tent we were being held in. I found it very hard not to smile, but I knew we must keep our identities hidden from our friends. After they released our bonds they were gone except for a human that appeared to be the leader looked at Marla and me, smiled, whispered something in Marla’s ear, and then handed her a package. He then left the tent. We gathered our weapons, and headed for our ship. Upon arriving at the ship we took off towards The Protectorate a stolen Republic Battle Cruiser that was now the mobile Jedi Council in Unexplored Space. We docked a week later and were ushered before the Council.
“The bounty hunters had crashed on US-1138. There was no evidence that they were sent by the Empire. Master Jules is there anything else that I am missing from my report that you would like to add?”
“Yes Master El-Ra, there is one thing I would like to add. Master Yamela, other members of the Council; Master El-Ra completed the mission without violating Directive TH-x11/S. Even though he could have easily used the Force to disengage the situation, he chose to follow the directive placed on us by the Council.”
“Thank you Masters, you may take your leave get some rest and meditate. May the Force be with you.”
Walking down the hall my mind drifted back to the events that had transpired in the tent with the Jedi and Marla.
“Marla, what did that Jedi give you?”
“He gave me my Master’s lightsaber and his holocron.”
“But I thought…”
“No, Azur I didn’t use the Force he recognized me and he told me he understood why we hid who we were, and he would not disclose it to anyone. Good night Azur, and may the Force be with you.”
“Goodnight, Marla.”

Good story there. As i got to read the whole thing in one shot, I'm just happy I didn't have to wait a week or so in between chapters. Of course, the saber is cool, but you already know that. I like the strangeness of El-Ra addressing his former Master by her first name. After so long, it would be difficult to suddenly address your virtual parent that way. Keep up the good work!
