"I understand, father."
"No, you don't," he smiled gently, sadly. "But soon, you will.” He removed his arm from my shoulders, releasing me from his hold, and from my dream.
Wow! I love that bit there Luney. Especially the bit about love. I'm guessing that was shortly before Nejaa's death? 
I love the Valin and Nyche interaction as well as poor timid Lainey who's so torn apart by all her emotions.

Ooooh, that was so . . . adorable!  Nyche and Valin were so wonderful, and so was baby!Corran! (he had his own Corrany personality even then apparently  ). Nejaa . . . what wonderful father/son interaction! Awwww . . . .

Thankfully, my son wasn't about to question my authority in public.
In private, I imagine I'll hear about it later. Oh, I just bet he will be.
"Is the Council aware of this?" At first I thought she was talking about the Jedi Council. *shakes head* I'm losing it...
"You ladies don't want me moping about, trying to hurry you out of every store." *grins* I have the feeling I hate shopping just as much as he does.
I felt the baby kick against my side then, and nudged her. "Your son thinks you're being selfish." Baby...*grins*
Nyche pushed herself up, lifting her purse. "Then he'll be a perfect angel, Valin."
Who was I to disagree with that? Do you still agree now?
"Perhaps if I were a stronger Jedi, I could let it go." And this is one of the things I dislike the most about Coruscanti Jedi.
"No one is, Lainey," I assured her.Thankfuly...
"I'm afraid it afflicts Anakin Skywalker as well," Nejaa said, taking a chair next to the couch. "And likely more Coruscanti Jedi than are willing to admit it." *snorts* Knowing life, yes, I'd have to agree.
"I have my doubts even a dark lord of the Sith could fight it so completely."  No way... That's not true! That's impossible!

I liked Lando’s reaction to Hal’s revelation… “Hmm, interesting” just about says it all. 
Also liked how happy Hal was that Leia’s first concern was Luke and only after that the Alliance. A Coruscanti Jed would have been upset that Leia was being “attached” rather than concentration on the broader picture.
Now that Hal has advised Luke against trying to use the mind-trick I wonder how this is going to go. Plan in RotJ never seemed that smart to me even without knowing that only Jabba telling Mara to leave prevented it from being a disaster.
Nice dream sequence. Liked how Valin teased his wife and interpreted the kicks from the Corran-Lump. Felt sorry for Lainey with her embarrassment and hesitation over “marriage” and “father” and her asking how she can get rid of her love towards her brother.
Glad that Valin didn’t vent his opinion of the Coruscanti Jedi ways but stayed patient and consoling towards Lainey.
Liked how the dream went into possibly more of a premonition / advice about how not even a Dark Lord of the Sith could fight love.

hehehe Leia IS being all protective over Luke, but I think Luke pretty much has it in hand.
Corran will understand in time what Hal is doing. Especially when he finally goes out on his own.

I really liked your flashback sequence... the way you referenced all of Anakin's problems and what ultimately saved him (at least in the movie-verse)
Here's to hoping that the mission into Jabba's palace goes smoothly....

Oh... the dream sequence was beautiful! (And I loved the rest too! )
I the Valin/Nyche banter too, very cute!
And having Lainey drop in was great... *gives Lainey a much needed hug* I really need to read Interpretations of the Force, don't I? (That is with Lainey in it, isn't it?)

The fatherly love portrayed throughout this fic by Hal, and Neeja, is just wonderful. I love it! I especially love to see Neeja reach out through the force to Hal, as though to say "HEY! I'm gonna help you whether you like it or not!"
