	Time: Just pre- ESB Disclaimer: I own nothing...Nothing I say! Don't hurt me George For the first time in a long time, she woke with out him by her side. She lay there, momentarily paralyzed by the fear that he had gone, had left her forever. Bolting up, she raced to the door to catch, plead with him to stay, when she looked in the kitchen. And saw him, back to her, stretching. Just stretching, watching the kaffe machine brew. She paused and calmed the panic within her before walking over to him and wrapping her arms about him. She placed a kiss on his back. “Hey” she murmured. He turned slightly, threw one arm over her head and around her to look back. “Hey” he smiled back. She buried her face in his chest. “I thought you’d gone”. He grinned. “Sweetheart, how could I go? You’ve got my shirt.” True, she hadn’t thought of that. His grin faded. “Did you really think I would go without saying goodbye?” She shrugged. “C’mon, honey, you know you mean more to me than that! I thought we’d been over this.” She turned from his embrace, more to hide the tears that were threatening to fall than out of anger. He rubbed his eyes. “ I gotta go, and it’s gotta be soon, or there won’t be a reason for you to worry about me leaving, considering I’ll be spacedust” Her head snapped up “Don’t say that! Don’t!” He sighed. This conversation always got them nowhere, always lead to one of them being angry and saying things they didn’t mean. They spent enough time being mad at each other during the day- he didn’t need these arguments spilling into their only time alone. He reached for her, called her gently. “Leia….” She came willingly into his arms, crying slightly. “When?” was the only question she asked. He sighed/ “Tomorrow, after the kid and I place the sensors.” She looked into his eyes. “Then make it a good goodbye flyboy.” -----signature----- I ship Jaina/Obi-Wan. 	I hope this is just the beginning, because I like the fact that it appears Han and Leia got together while they were on Hoth. I want to see where this AU leads. 	Chapter Two AN: Okay, so I posted the last bit first, and now we are back to just post ANH and will be working forward, with occasional snippets of Han and Leia's last night on Hoth, which is where it will end. Maybe. Forgive me if it moves a little fast, and remember, there is drinking going on. So enjoy! It started with a hydrospanner. Nearly six months after the battle of Yavin, Princess Leia Organa was in full blown shouting match with Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon. She had come to ask him if he could take a supply run to the Panna system, and he had replied, with out looking up from where he was welding, how much it had paid. Leia hadn’t been in the mood. “For once, Han, I wish you would take a mission based on the fact that you wanted to help us instead of bleed us dry.” He looked up. “ Sweetheart, I ain’t…..” Leia held up a hand to stop him. “ No, let me. You aren’t in this for the rebellion, you aren’t in it for me, you aren’t in it for Luke. You’re here because we are your only current source of income. I understand perfectly, Captain, you’ve been saying this for six months. You sound like a broken holo recording. “ She turned on her heel to leave, snapping over her shoulder, “And use proper language, I KNOW YOU’RE CAPABLE!” Han leapt up to follow her. “ Hey Your Worship!” he called. The Princess stopped at the bottom of the ramp. “Yes?” “You never told me how much the job paid.” He smirked. “GAAAAH! Han Solo you are the most pompous, grammatically challenged man I have ever met!!!!” Han rolled his eyes. “C’mon your worship, you’ve got better than that. No cracks about my ship or my intellect? I expected better of you.” Leia began walking again, but not in the direction she had been. Turing around she stomped back into the ship and threw him a dirty look as she passed him. Confused, Han followed. “Sit!” she ordered. Han opted for leaning against the bulkhead. “ Han, I am asking you, on the behalf of the Rebellion and myself, to make this supply run to Panna.” Han grinned. “ Sure, sweetheart, but how much does it pay?” Leia actually screamed in frustration. “ What will it take to get it through to you that we don’t have the money to pay your ridiculous prices? Hmm? Hard headed Man!” And for reasons Leia herself would never understand, she threw a hydrospanner at him. Before it was even out of her hand, she was yelling for him to duck. He did, and just barely got out of the tools flight path. He looked from her stunned face to the spanner on the floor then back again. Leia clasped her hand over her mouth. “Gods, Han I…” “What, your Bossiness, wanted to decapitate me? Hell of a way to recruit.” Han stalked off towards the hold, with Leia running after him. “Han! I’m sorry! It’s just….” He spun and pointed a finger in her face. “NO! You listen. I dunno what kind of game your playing, but just because your planet got blasted into space dust does not mean you can make everyone do your bidding. You may scare the hell out of everyone else, but not me sister.” It was out of his mouth before he had time to fully digest what he had said. “ Leia…” She had turned and was walking quickly to the ramp when he caught her and spun her around. “Leia, please…I’m an idiot, really I am. You have to forgive me. Nearly getting my block knocked off by a hydro spanner doesn’t give me the right…” He was startled by the sudden feeling of her arms around his waist and two growing moist spots somewhere in the vicinity of his stomach. “ I really shoved my foot in my mouth, didn’t I?” He felt her nod. “ Drink?” She sniffed. “Han, it’s the middle of the day.” He pulled her out of his embrace and looked down into her tear darkened eyes. “Just tell them I’ve corrupted you if anyone asks.” He said as he closed the ramp. She swatted at him, but allowed herself to be lead to the holochess table. Han poured two glasses of the strongest stuff he could find and gave one to Leia. An awkward silence ensued as the two sat downing their drinks. “Why did you say that?” Leia asked quietly. “Huh? Oh, I dunno Leia. I say lots of stupid things. You should know that by now.” Han flashed her a winning smile. She didn’t smile back. “People are scared of me. Everyone treats me like I’m, I’m” she waved her hands in the hair “fragile or breakable. No one treats me like I’m a human. Except you.” She looked up. “And you usually do it by getting me so angry I can’t see straight.” “Well, Han Solo aims to please” Han lamely joked. “Look, Leia, dealing with someone when they lost someone they love is hard enough. Dealing with someone who not only lost their planet, but had to watch it destroyed, that’s something else. I think people are just unsure of what to say.” “You aren’t!” she argued, agitatedly getting up from the table. Han grabbed her arm. “Yeah, but not everyone has my smooth Corellian ways.” This elicited a chuckle from the princess. She turned to face him, and was eyelevel with the dark marks her mascara had made on his shirt. “Han?” Leia became very aware of the fact that his hand was still on her arm. “Yeah?” “Why have you stayed?” Han shifted, and in doing so, brought the princess closer to him. She didn’t resist. “Well, you see, there is this little project I have..” his voice dropped and he kept pulling her closer. “What project?” Leia whispered softly. “I lied earlier. I am in it for something other than the money.” Han replied. Leia’s hands went to his chest. “What?” Han grinned as he leaned in “You, Princess.” The last thing he saw before he kissed her was the surprise in her eyes. Leia initially stiffened, but felt herself give way to the emotions Han was stirring. It didn’t just feel good, it felt perfect, it felt right. She wrapped her arms around his waist and he did the same to her. Gently, though, he pulled away. “Leia, if we start this, I can’t promise you anything…..I can’t even promise you I’ll go on that supply run to Panna….but I can..” Leia put a finger to his lips. “ Don’t talk nerfherder.” His eyebrows raised. “That’s a new one.” He murmured as he went in for another kiss. It was Leia who broke this one, however. “Are we just going to stand here in the hold all day, or can we go somewhere more private?” Leia’s eyes were averted and she was blushing all the same, but Han still couldn’t believe she was suggesting what he thought she was suggesting. “Leia, are you sure..” She pulled her eyes up from the floor. “I can’t promise you anything either Han, but I know that I trust you, and that…well, you make me happy.” She smiled. “Even if you are a bantha brained idiot most of the time.” Han laughed and quickly kissed her. “Fine, Bossy Brown Eyes, we will do as her lady wishes.” He flipped her over his shoulder as he walked down to his cabin. As he settled her on the bed, he smoothed some hair out of her eyes. “You know, you should throw spanners at me more often.” Leia smirked and pulled him onto the bed. “ Maybe you should turn down more supply runs.” She offered. 	Okay, sort of short, but will have more later today or tommorow. Chapter Three She had promised herself that it would only happen once. He had caught her with her guard down, she had been vulnerable, and it had happened. When it happened again, she tried to say that it was just a fling. She was just a young princess having fun with a smuggler, no harm done to anyone. So why was she sitting here, in a debriefing, and all she could think of was debriefing the smuggler sitting across from her? Han caught her look before winking and turning back to the speaker. She has no idea how cute she looks when she lets her guard down- Han thought Leia shifted in her seat and tried to refocus. This is important, Organa-she reprimanded herself-PAY ATTENTION! This is your life, your dream…. Right when she had finally managed to get her attention back on the speaker, Han took that opportunity to covertly stretch. Leia inwardly groaned. How did I come to this? All he has to do is stretch and I’m at his feet in a heap. “Princess?” Leia’s eyes shot forward to the speaker. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Han stifling a laugh. “Yes?” she coolly replied. The speaker nervously shuffled his data cards, hoping to avoid a battle with the Ice Princess. Meanwhile, Han was losing his battle with his laughter. Leia turned on him. “Captain? Is there something amusing about this situation?” Han snorted. Other than you trying to hide the fact that you spent more of this meeting watching me than the speaker? No, nothing amusing at all.- Han inwardly laughed “Well, I happen to find you nearly killing our fine speaker here with a glare rather amusing, your Iciness.” Leia’s voice got hard. “ CAPTAIN, I am not attempting to kill-“ she paused and turned- “What is your name again?” The speaker swallowed hard. “ Lt.Dev Aklin, your highness.” She nodded. “ I am not attempting to kill the him, I was merely asking what his question was.” She turned back to Aklin. “What was your question ?” Aklin shuffled some more “Just what you thought of my proposal, ma’am” Kestkestkestkest Leia inwardly swore. She really had no idea what his presentation had been about, but now she had to answer. “ Give us a little time to consider it, Lieutenant. Meeting dismissed” Leia swept out of the room before any one could question her. Unfortunately, the person Leia had been trying to avoid seeing caught up with her in the hall. “Hey, Your Worhsip! Hold Up!” Han caught up to her in three strides. Curse his long legs. “Yes, Captain?” He grabbed her arm and pulled her into an alcove. “What’s up with you? What was that, in the meeting room?” She shifted. “You’re distracting” she mumbled. “Distracting how?” he lowered his voice and moved in closer. She smacked his chest. “Distracting in that I spend more time thinking about you what we did last night than what is going on right in front of me! Okay? “ Han pulled back a little. He hadn’t expected her to be so candid, but he was grateful for it. “Leia, look, if it makes you feel any better, I was thinking the same thing.” Her eyes, which had traveled to his boots, shot back up to meet his. “Really?” He gave her a lop sided smirk. “Yeah” he moved in to kiss her but she pulled back. “No, Han, not here!” she squealed. “Someone might see!” Han rolled his eyes. “Do you really care if anyone does? Chewie knows, you don’t care about that.” Leia played with the front of his shirt. “Chewie knows me as Leia. I’m not a figurehead to him. But to everyone else…….” She trailed off. “I just don’t know how it would look, if we were open about it. Maybe once you get back from Jabba” she closed her mouth, embarrassed that she had been assuming he would want to stay with her that long. He hasn’t promised anything, don’t get excited. Han shrugged. “You’d be a living a lie. You think you can do that?” She smirked. “I did it in the Senate for years, I think I can manage.” Han pushed a few strands of hair out of her face. “Besides, you won’t have to lie for long. I’ll go pay off Jabba soon, and then I can assault you in the hallways all I want.” She hugged him “Thanks for understanding flyboy.” She could practically feel his smile. “Well, I could think of better ways of saying thankyou” Leia gave him a shove. “We’ve spent too much time in this alcove already….I’ll come by the Falcon later. Okay?” He nodded and gave her a swat on the behind as he left. Leia stayed in the alcove a few moments, trying to still her heart and think of things to take the blush out of her cheeks. -----signature----- I ship Jaina/Obi-Wan.
