	Well, good to see that this story is still considered active, despite the fact that I only update about once a month. Mos Eisley had always been a center for what Obi-Wan termed "scum and villainy." And not only was Kenobi right, the city didn't look like it'd ever improve. However, even hives of scum have their uses. For the renegade Jedi Masters, it had become a place to gather information on the happenings of the galaxy. As Anakin parked the speeder outside the cantina, both Obi-Wan and Owen steadied themselves against the side of it. Anakin shook his head as he went inside, his companions soon behind him. Anakin spotted their informer across the bar, and started for him. As he walked through the crowd, a young man with shaggy brown hair shoved past him, throwing an angry look over his shoulder at the Jedi's informer. The young man waiting for them flashed them a winning smile, a smile whose radiance was heightened by the fact that his white teeth stood out against his dark skin. "Lando Calrissian, just what was that about?" "Oh, that? He's been challenging me to sabaac games about once a month, and he keeps losing every time. Pretty soon, he won't have anything left to bet with. I've already got enough credits to start up my little business I've been planning," said the distinguised and charming Lando Calrissian. "Business? What business?" Obi-Wan asked as they sat down. "A little used starship dealership. Of course, I've already picked up one for myself. Beat up looking cruiser that I'm working on, just as a hobby. It's junky enough no one will ever want it," Lando replied. Then he cast his eyes over to Owen. "So, who's this, and why shouldn't I blast him?" At Owen's fearful look, Anakin chuckled and said, "He's my step-brother, and he's trustworthy. Plus, you don't have a blaster." Lando laughed as Owen quickly relaxed. "Well, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you're wondering what's been happening in the galaxy. Well, the Imperial propaganda is that they recently caught a Jedi spy who infiltrated Corellian Security and stole several important starship and space station schematics before he was caught and executed by Darth Vader. And no more than a few hours ago, someone calling herself the 'Emperor's Hand' was on Sullust. She left shortly after, presumably for Coruscant. And that's all I know that's happening right now," Lando said, his expression growing grave throughout his news. Obi-Wan bowed his head in silence for the memory of the last Halcyon in the Jedi Order. Anakin, on the other hand, was frowning, mainly at the mention of the "Emperor's Hand." When he looked back to Lando, it was no surprise to Obi-Wan or Owen that he said, "Find out whatever you can about this Emperor's Hand. The more information, the better." "I'll certainly see what I can do. I can't promise much, but I will try," he replied. Anakin stood, then said, "Do, or do not. There is no try." Then he turned and left the bar. 	Uh oh... It seems that Stone has succeded. Bad luck. Good post. I hope however that the Jedi will soon strike back so that the Emperor understands he's not alone. 	Nope, it's not dead! Although Arc was prepared for the pure flow of darkness from Sara'a, he was barely able to block her attack. Her saber slashed through the air as Arc ducked under the second blow. He attacked, but Sara'a leapt over his blade. She flipped through the air and landed on the fair side of the bar. "Hmph. Seems to be a little small in here," Arc commented. "Maybe I should just go ahead and kill you. That would ease the problem." "I don't think I'll let you kill me today," Arc replied, and then gathered the Force and shoved Sara'a out into the street through a window, shards of glass sprinkling into the street. Arc quickly jumped through the window, looking for Sara'a. It didn't take long to find her, as she was charging straight at him, her sapphire blade held above her head. "Stang!" he cursed, swinging his saber around barely in time to catch her's, the blades hissing and sputtering as they crossed and locked. "Such language from a Jedi Master," Sara'a sneered as she shoved Arc away. They attacked, sabers briefly clashing as they sped in opposing directions, then spinning to face each other again. They sprinted back at each other, sabers crashing together again. "You do realize just how much of a fool you are, don't you? "Only as much of one as you are," he retorted. Arc knew he was a fool. He wasn't as young as he used to be, and he no longer possessed the same strength he once did. Sara'a on the other hand was not only younger and spry, but the Dark Side flowed within her like a thundering river. There was no way he could win without giving in to the darkness himself. He threw her off and prepared himself for her attack. An attack that, ultimately, never came. Instead came a spray of blaster fire as an ARC-170 fighter flew low to the street. Bits of the ground flew up as Sara'a dodged the blasts. Arc, grinning slightly at the little pun he just noticed, ran towards the ARC-170 as its cockpit opened, leaping into the aft gunner's station. As the cockpit closed and the planet started to recede, Arc took the opportunity to fire a couple more blasts at Sara'a, not to kill but to hide their escape vector. As the fighter climbed out of the atmosphere and the s-foils closed in preparation for the jump to lightspeed, Aeon Fothe looked back at his former master. "Well, that could've gone much worse," he commented. Arc Xivix remained silent as the stars elongated into streaks of light and then into the mottled sky of hyperspace. ************************************************************************************ "Dammit!" Sara'a exclaimed, pounding the ground with her fist. "This is twice now! Aeon Fothe, you bastard! I'll rip your heart out!" The surrounding area began to tremble with the force of her rage. After a few moments, she regained her composure and stood. "I suppose I need to head back. The Emperor's probably waiting," she muttered. She hooked her saber on her belt and headed for the spaceport. As she pushed through the crowds, she saw a figure waiting outside the spaceport entrance. She hid her smile, knowing that at least she wouldn't face her Master alone. "Greetings, Emperor's Hand," Darth Vader said. Sara'a let her smile through, and Vader returned it. The two embraced, both at once feeling affection and revulsion for each other. Vader detested the fact that Sara'a was now so high in the Emperor's graces. Sara'a hated that Vader would do anything for Sidious, but not for her, or the child she had taken as her own. The thought of the child suddenly broke through everything else. "How is Mara?" she asked. Vader looked at her, his right eyebrow cocked. "She is my responsibility, you know." "She'll be waiting for you when we return to Coruscant. Anxiously, from what I've heard," Vader replied after a moment. His only thoughts regarding the child were why Sidious wanted to keep her around. The child was far too....cheerful. Sara'a smiled again, and patted Vader's good cheek. She had long ago realized that although the burns had long ago healed, and the scars were on their way to vanishing, the burned side of his face was still quite tender. A scar on her cheek reminded her of that every day. "Thanks for coming for me. Did your mission succeed?" Vader scowled. "Yes, if you can call exterminating a helpless man a mission. That wasn't worth my talents. It should've been a job for ARC troopers, not a Sith Lord," he growled. "Well, with these Jedi, it's hard to tell sometimes. Aeon got away again, the bastard," Sara'a replied, spitting her former comrade's name. "Well, we'll get them back one of these days," Vader said as he turned, his cape swirling with him. The two boarded Vader's shuttle. 	Uh oh... The Emperor will be most displeased. And I like the relationship between Vader and Stone. Perhaps they don't realize it yet, but I think they love eachother, in a romantic way if I may... 	Thanks for the comments. Vader and Sara'a DO love each other and know it...they just don't view love in the same way that, say, Anakin and Padme do. Vader and Sara'a are using each other for their own means. 	Guys, I apologize profusely for not updating...I've just been too busy playing Zelda: Twilight Princess on my Nintendo Wii...Curse you Nintendo for making such an awesome game!!!!!!! Umm...errr....anyway, on to the update. This one's not too long, but there's going to be a fight coming up soon, featuring Vader and Morgan Katarn...and yes, that's a spoiler, but it was bound to happen, so I don't consider it too much of a spoiler. And after that fight comes the next time shift. So, pretty soon, we'll see the introduction of Moff Tarkin, and the formal christening of the Death Star...I hope. As the mottled sky of hyperspace finally receded, Arc Xivix breathed a sigh of relief. "Well, where've you brought us?" he said after a moment. Aeon gripped the control yokes tightly. "We're in orbit of Tatooine. Unfortunately, we're low on fuel. We're gonna have to make planetfall," he said as he curved the fighter towards the desert planet. "Fothe, are you sure that's wise? I mean, think about what just happened." "Actually, I have a good feeling about this. I know right where to park this bird," the Shadowknight grinned, slowly cutting power to the engines. The ARC-170-F banked hard into Tatooine's rough atmosphere. Flames surrounded it as it began to slow. Below, three young Jedi Padawans witnessed the ship's descent. Luke looked over at Leia and said, "That looks like a ship. Maybe we should tell Mom." Leia nodded and rushed into the homestead to get Padmé and Siri. Luke watched as the fighter finally broke through the atmosphere and banked towards the homestead. As it flew closer and decelerated, Anakin, Ben, and Owen rode up in the landspeeder. Anakin shut the craft down then jumped out, striding over to Luke and Sapphire. "Ah, I was wondering when he'd show up," he said. The kids looked up at him. He waved off the question, and said, "Just an old friend." The fighter landed, kicking up massive clouds of dust and sand. Anakin grinned as the cockpit opened and Aeon Fothe flipped out of the cockpit and landed gracefully, the winds whirling his black cloak. Arc Xivix merely jumped out of the fighter and watched as Aeon embraced Anakin. "Good to see you again Skywalker! Keeping in trouble, I see," Aeon said, slapping Anakin's back as he looked down at the kids. "Aren't you gonna introduce me?" Before Anakin could say anything, Luke asked, "Dad, what kind of Jedi dresses like that?" "No Jedi at all, young Luke. He's a rogue, a scoundrel," stated Obi-Wan as he crossed the sands between the speeder and Fothe. "Well, it's good to see you too, Master Kenobi," Aeon said. They stared at each other and for a moment, Sapphire and Luke thought they were going to start fighting. Then they grasped each other's forearms, then embraced. "And I'm not a rogue. If I hadn't left the Temple and the Jedi Order, not only would Coruscant's criminal elements gotten worse, I would've been killed when the Empire stormed the Temple." "Aeon. This is my son, Luke and Obi-Wan's daughter, Sapphire. Luke, Sapphire, this is Aeon Fothe, an old friend," Anakin said. Luke and Sapphire just looked at him. Aeon's gaze was on Obi-Wan, his eyes wide. "The pristine Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi has a daughter?!" Arc's voice called from the fighter, "Hey, not all Jedi Master's are pristine. So, what happened Kenobi?" At that moment, Siri Kenobi climbed out of the homestead and said, "A certain former Jedi captured his heart." Aeon and Arc looked at her, then back at Obi-Wan. "So, I'm a rogue just because I left the Jedi Order, and here you are, wedded to someone who left the Order as well?" Aeon asked, crossing his arms. "Oh be quiet," Obi-Wan murmured. "So Master Xivix, what can we do for you?" Anakin asked. "We just need some fuel and lodgings for a day or too. We don't intend to be a burden," Arc replied. Before he could continue, Padmé walked out of the homestead, little Leia in her arms. If a Jedi Master could be surprised, then Arc Xivix was beyond surprised. "Senator Amidala! I thought that you were dead!" Anakin looked at Padmé, who shrugged. "Master Xivix, maybe it's better that the galaxy believe I am dead, for the moment," she said kindly. "Come inside. I think we've got a little explaining to do." Arc nodded, and the three families invited two wanted Jedi into their home. ************************************************************************************ A few hours later, Arc and Aeon had been briefed on all of the goings on in the Skywalker and Kenobi families, and those two families were informed of the current fate of the galaxy. Anakin scowled with distaste. "So, Vader and Sara'a Stone have become Palpatine's personal Jedi killers. That's just wonderful," he muttered. "Now Anakin, don't start getting ideas of going off and fighting Vader on your own," Obi-Wan cautioned. "No Master, I wasn't even considering it. I have a family to look after, you know. But Aeon, Arc...you can't stay here too long. We're taking a big chance as it is," Anakin said. "Don't worry, I just need fuel for my ship, then we'll be on our way. But I will say that it's good to see you Anakin, and to meet your family," Aeon said, standing. "Well, we can help you out a little, I think," Anakin replied, also standing. "That would be greatly appreciated Master Skywalker," Arc said. A few hours later, Aeon Fothe's fighter lifted off for parts of the galaxy that were to be unknown to the Skywalker and Kenobi families. For security reasons, of course. Even Anakin knew that Darth Vader wouldn't let up on his search for him and Obi-Wan until he tracked them down. Sara'a was the only untested factor.
