RE: Twilight of the Sith(Saga AU: Possible RotS Spoilers!)Finally UPDATED!!! 1/14/07!!!!
Wow. My first update of 2007...2 years on this project and still no end in sight. I've seen some readers come and go with the length of this....so if you guys would be so kind as to track down my old readers, bop 'em with a fish, and drag em back here, I'd be most grateful! ^_^ Okay, this update focuses on the Sith. Next update will split between Sith and Jedi and will be the last of this timeframe(5 years after Revenge(Twilight) of the Sith for those not keeping track).
Sara'a stood before her Master, mere moments after Vader left on yet another mission, this time to visit the Death Star construction project. Young Mara Jade was waiting outside in the grand hall of the Imperial Palace. Mara considered Sara'a her mother, even though she knew that her mother was on Naboo. Or dead. Either way, the young girl didn't really care. Sara'a was her family and that's all she wanted. Mara brushed her red-gold hair out of her face, keeping her back straight as she glared at the guards. They didn't want her around, that was clear. Painfully clear, she thought as she remembered when one trooper had intentionally shoved her into a table. Then her lips curled upward in a slightly wicked smile as she remembered how well the man's flesh seared underneath the lightning treatment of the Emperor. Mara didn't think much of Palpatine, but he looked out for her best interests, for some odd reason.
At this moment, Sara'a was bowing before her Master. "So, you aren't angry with me for losing Fothe?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
"Of course not. The so called 'Shadowknight' eluded us for years before his true identity was revealed. I don't expect the impossible, my dear. At least not from you or Lord Vader," Sidious said, his voice almost far away. Sara'a knew that he was likely troubled about something. It wasn't her though, or she knew she would be writhing on the floor under a lightning storm.
"Master, is something...troubling you?" she asked.
Sidious gave her a glare that immediately told her to drop the subject and never bring it up again. After her head dipped submissively, the Emperor of the Galaxy tented his fingers and gazed at her. "How goes young Jade's training?"
"Her training is going quite well. From what I understand, she's been training in unarmed combat with the 501st when I'm on a mission. And her Force training is going very well, her aptitude is exceptional. In a few months, I expect to take her to Ilum to create her first lightsaber," she said.
"Good, good. Very fortunate that the Empire took Ilum not too long ago," Palpatine said. "Sara'a, what do you think of Lord Vader's....status?"
Sara'a raised an eyebrow and questioned, "What do you mean, my Lord?"
Palpatine stood and gazed out the windows of the former Jedi Council chamber out onto the glorious vista of Coruscant. "You know, of course, that Vader is a clone of Anakin Skywalker. While just as powerful as Skywalker, and without any of the attachments that kept him from turning, Vader was artificially aged like most of the standing clone army. Sadly, he had to undergo massive aging in order to grow to Anakin's age in the three years that preceded his activation. Although his aging was slowed by stasis over the last few months prior to his awakening, he will still age far more rapidly than Anakin. I wish to know if you believe he will still be an asset to us."
Palpatine's question shocked Sara'a, but she realized that Lord Vader was still strong in the Force. "Master Sidious...if I may be permitted to say so, the mere fact that Master Yoda was still strong in his old age shows that Lord Vader will still be an asset as long as he is able to live," she said cautiously.
Sidious gazed down on her, then nodded. "I suppose you're right. You're dismissed, Lady Stone." Sara'a bowed her head, then left, her cloak rustling the only indicator to the now preoccupied Dark Lord of her haste. He gazed out on Coruscant, thoughts of his aging apprentice storming through his head. So far, the only indication of his age were the streaks of grey in his hair. But that was likely to change, and soon. Sidious was loathe to admit it, but he would have to consider a new apprentice. As powerful as Vader was, he was unstable. However, for the moment, Vader was his apprentice. Flawed as he was, Vader was still a force to be reckoned with. Palpatine sighed. Anakin was still out there, as was Yoda. He couldn't sense them, but he knew that they couldn't hide forever. The Dark Lord stretched out his senses when he felt something strange. It couldn't be...a new Jedi! He hadn't been able to sense this one before, although he certainly felt familiar. He reached over to his chair and toggled the intercom. "Commander?"
A stormtrooper commander answered, "Yes my Lord?"
"I need to speak with Lord Vader on the Death Star immediately."
************************************************************************************
Wilhuf Tarkin was extremely uncomfortable with the Dark Lord of the Sith watching over the contruction of the Ultimate Weapon. Darth Vader's temper had already become renowned throughout the Imperial Fleet, and the Death Star in particular. One of the younger officers had merely questioned why they were taking orders from a Jedi, without knowing what Vader truly was. Vader had ripped him from his console and hurled him against a bulkhead, and then strangled the man. Of course, it hadn't helped the young man's case that Vader was almost impossible to hear. The only reason that Tarkin knew he was coming behind him was that his reflection showed in the transparisteel. "So Lord Vader, does our progress please you?"
Vader stood by the sector governor and replied, "I'm not the one you should be concerned with, Moff. I shall inform the Emperor of your progress. I saw that you were using Wookiee slaves as construction crews?"
"Yes Lord Vader. While hard to manage, they are exceptional workers. We also have a few Mon Calamari working for us as well," Tarkin said, a sneer crossing his face. "We decided that some use should come out of these aliens."
Vader smiled at Tarkin's disregard for alien life, deciding that he actually liked the man. Then an officer came up to them both. "Lord Vader. The Emperor demands you to make contact with him immediately," he said.
Vader frowned, then pushed past the officer, his cloak billowing. Sidious wouldn't contact him unless it was urgent. He found a young officer standing in front of his quarters. When the young man tried to say something, Vader decided that he didn't want to be annoyed just now. So, he grabbed the young man by the face and smashed the back of his skull against the wall. Vader let the limp body fall to the floor and then entered his quarters. He made his way to the holotransmitter and kneeled on the plate that would transmit his image to Coruscant. In moments, the larger-than-life image of Darth Sidious appeared. "What is thy bidding, my Master?"
"Lord Vader. I hate to pull you away from the Death Star, but there is a disturbance in the Force centered on one of the Sullustan colonies. I believe that a Jedi has let his guard down, and you must take advantage of this opportunity," Sidious intoned.
Vader bowed his head. "It will be done my Lord. On another note, Moff Tarkin seems to have the construction of the Death Star proceeding according to plan. From my understanding, he has...'recruited' Wookiee and Mon Calamari to 'assist' with the construction," the apprentice said.
"Excellent. Then everything is on schedule."
************************************************************************************
Mara looked up at Sara'a. "Mother?"
Sara'a almost winced. She still wasn't used to Mara calling her that. Of course, that was the most appropriate thing she could be called. "Yes Mara?"
The young girl had a beaming smile as she asked, "When can I get my own lightsaber?"
Sara'a had to chuckle at her adopted daughter/apprentice's eagerness. But she was still too young to handle one just yet. At least, since the Temple no longer had any training sabers. "Not for a while yet. You still have a ways to go," she said.
"Awww!"
"No arguing or whining. You have a long day ahead of you." Sara'a was referring to Mara's daily Force exercises. They arrived at what was once one of the gardens that the Jedi had used for meditation. Now it was just another example of Imperial might. The plantlife had been ripped out and replaced with the same gray tiling that the rest of the Temple had. Luckily, it was still a good place for training. "Okay Mara. Show me what all you've learned."
Mara smiled and closed her eyes. After a few moments, the tiles on the floor ripped away, levitating in mid-air. After a few moments, they started whirling around both Mara and Sara'a. Mara then squeezed all the tiles together with the Force, and finally ripped them apart. Sara'a watched as the fragments of the tile floor started to fall to the ground. She was about to congratulate Mara when she noticed the fragments starting to spin. Then they started to reform the tiles that Mara had ripped up. In a few moments, they replaced themselves on the floor. "Well, how was that?"
Sara'a gaped at her, and then grinned. "Wow! That was something that should be impossible for someone your age! I have to say, that's excellent progress," Sara'a said. Mara grinned back and hugged Sara'a. "Come on, let's get something to eat," the older woman said. The girl nodded enthusiastically.

It's alive! It's alive...After soo long waiting, imagine my surprise when an update appeared. And a very good one at that. But how long will we wait to get the satisfaction of putting all the pieces together, when so spread out are they?

Good post. Mara is growing powerful.
So, Sidious is displeased with his dear apprentice? Who can he find to replace him? I really wonder. He may get his hands on Anakin, but that won't be easy for him...
Let's see what happens next with this Jedi at Sullust. Then, and only then, complete this part will be.

Well, it will be quite some time before this saga comes full circle...though, nowhere near as long as it took the Flanneled One....I hope. As for the possibility of Sidious recruiting Anakin, that ship has long since passed. No, his next apprentice won't be clear for a good while to come. I doubt it'll be too much of a shock, but I like to keep people in suspense.

RE: Twilight of the Sith(Saga AU: Possible RotS Spoilers!)Finally UPDATED!!! 1/31/07!!!!
Alright! Here we go, yet another update!! Lemme know what you think!!
Aeon Fothe's ARC-170 reverted to realspace near a gas giant surrounded by several moons. "So, where are we Fothe?" Arc Xivix asked his former apprentice.
"We're going to my hideout on the fourth moon. From there, I can arrange a transport for you to wherever you need to go," Aeon replied as he flew past the gas giant and towards the forest covered fourth moon. He gripped the yokes tightly and guided the fighter into the atmosphere and then into the forests. He heard Arc breathe in deeply and Aeon knew his former master was holding on and trying to stay calm as the ARC fighter weaved through the trees at speeds no human or even clone would attempt. But then, Fothe wasn't relying on any piloting abilities. He relied on the Force to tell him which direction to move the fighter. Soon, a clearing with a large temple appeared and Aeon finally slowed the craft as it glided into an open, hanger-like door. As the craft docked on a small platform built especially for it, Aeon triggered the cockpit hatch and jumped out.
"Fothe, either you're insane, or you stole Anakin Skywalker's flying abilities," Arc said as he slowly climbed out of the craft.
"Hmm...it may be a little of both," Aeon replied. He focused his thoughts for a moment, then held out an arm to stop Arc from proceeding. "Hang on. Something doesn't seem quite right..." The Shadowknight stepped forward into the darkened hanger, his senses stretched into the Force. Aeon's hand dropped to the handle of his gunsaber as he heard a slight rustling in the rafters above the hanger.
In the blink of an eye, Arc was watching a shadow descending on his former apprentice brandishing a...purple lightsaber?! No, Arc's eyes weren't decieving him. As Aeon rolled away, igniting the sapphire blade of his gunsaber, his opponent landed and drew a Makashi flourish in the air with its amethyst weapon. Aeon matched the flourish, and then he was in the air. His opponent met him, their sabers clashing in midair. They landed several meters from each other and Aeon turned and sprinted at his enemy, his saber held horizontally to his right in a loose Makashi grip. The other met his Makashi with Ataro, spinning around him, the cloak covering it flowing with the movement. Aeon switched the stance of his blade, assuming a Djem So posture. Arc frowned. Was Aeon mad? His opponent was relying on the acrobatics of Ataro. Djem So was a form of lightsaber combat that depended on power, not mobility. Unfortunately, Arc was right. The whirlwind of purple light was forcing Aeon to take a more defensive posture. Suddenly Aeon reached out with the Force and yanked his opponent's feet out from under it. The lightsaber tumbled away and the cloak fell off as Aeon held the tip of his sizzling blue saber at the throat of his attacker.
"Well, you tried. I can give you credit for that," Aeon said. Then he shut off his gunsaber and helped his opponent up to their feet. And now Arc had his first good look at the unknown attacker and he still didn't know her. Her dark hair fell over her shoulders, and her brown eyes glittered softly. Her figure was well defined and athletic. She reached out with the Force and pulled the lightsaber back to her. "Just remember that Ataro leaves you open. Next time try Soresu or Djem So to counter Makashi. It might surprise me," Aeon was saying to the woman.
"Well, I think I surprised your friend," the woman said, favoring Arc with a warm smile. "I'm Katsura Otasim. I've been Aeon's partner for several years now, and he's been training me in the ways of the Force."
The Zabrak Jedi Master bowed and said, "I'm Arc Xivix, Aeon's former Jedi Master. Now I can see how Aeon's kept alive for so long." Kat seemed to blush. "So Aeon, you said you could get me transportation?"
Aeon laughed and slapped his old master on the back. "Now now, there'll be time for that later. I'd consider myself a terrible host if we just sent you away without refreshments. Besides, I think I need to explain a few things," he said. Arc looked at Kat and nodded. "Come on, let's get some drinks."
************************************************************************************
Kyle Katarn looked up at his father. "But why do we have to run?! I don't want to leave you behind dad!" he was saying.
Morgan Katarn sighed and looked at his son. "Kyle, there's no escape for me. But you can make it," he said. He pressed a disk into Kyle's hand. "There's data on this disk that'll help you in the future. Whatever you do, don't lose it. Do you understand?"
Kyle looked at the disk, then at his dad. He nodded. "Dad, please try to win," he pleaded as his mother gripped his shoulder. Morgan closed his eyes and nodded.
Within moments, his family was gone. Morgan had known the instant the Imperator-class Star Destroyer had settled into orbit that his time was over. He had, luckily, put the message he had recieved from Master Yoda, as well as blueprints for creating a lightsaber, onto the disk he had now entrusted to his five year old son. He had also made arrangements to get them offplanet before they could be found by the Imperials. He sighed and gripped the handle of his lightsaber, stepping out onto his front porch. He didn't know how Vader had found him, but he had. He might have even tortured Qu Rahn, a Jedi friend of Morgan's from before Order 66, to find out where he was. The wind picked up as a newly christened Lambda-class Imperial shuttle began to descend on his land, its side wings folding up to the large, central wing. Morgan gathered the Force to him, wishing that he could find his center in it. As he thought this, the ramp on the shuttle descended, and a figure dressed in black robes descended. Morgan called out to the figure, "Welcome to my home, Lord Vader."
Darth Vader drew back his hood. "Well Master Katarn, you seemed to be doing rather well for yourself. Oh, and if you're worried about your family, you shouldn't be. You're my only concern," said the fiend. Morgan didn't relax. He had known Anakin Skywalker through a friendship with Obi-Wan Kenobi, and he had seen the boy in battle. If Vader fought in any way similar to the Anakin he had known, he didn't stand a chance. Vader drew his lightsaber, a blackened reflection of Anakin's, and ignited its scarlet blade. "By the way, you wouldn't happen to know how I found you, would you?" Morgan shook his head. Vader laughed and started circling him, waving his saber grandiosely as he did so. "Imperial intelligence found Qu Rahn. Luckily for him, I was busy with another Jedi at the time. Or maybe, not so lucky. He had to deal with the Emperor himself!"
Morgan remained calm, only allowing a twinge of grief to pass through him. His friend was with the Force now, and soon, he would join him. Anger would not help him in this fight. He met Vader's bloodshine saber with the pulsing glow of his emerald blade. Vader grinned and spun his saber in the air. Morgan maintained a neutral stance, keeping his blade held up. In moments, Vader closed the distance between them, attacking high. Morgan blocked the chop and parried with a swift cut to his right. Vader dodged and stabbed with his saber, but Morgan batted the blade away almost effortlessly. When he felt the stabbing pain of the saber's hilt being ground into his shoulder, Morgan knew he had been tricked.
Vader laughed as Morgan stumbled backwards. "Come now Katarn, you're supposed to be a Jedi Master! Entertain me!" With this, Vader attacked to Katarn's left. In moments, there was a blur of green and red as the two fighters dueled. Vader almost cackled. This was far too easy. In a flurry of motions, he had Katarn on his back and his saber at his neck. The Dark Lord only sighed. "All too easy," he said, drawing his saber up for the killing blow. Without warning, Morgan used the Force to leap up, his heels driving into Vader's stomach. As the Sith stumbled for a moment, coughing, Morgan spun through an Ataru attack, leaving himself open, but also cutting at Vader several times. All Vader could do was defend until he caught his breath, and then he pressed his attack again. The sabers clashed again and again, high and low, the storm of energy growing larger until the blades locked. Vader grinned, his sickly yellow eyes making Morgan cringe in revulsion. He pushed Morgan back. "Very good! Well, this is certainly a good fight! I'd love to make this one last longer. However, I will be needed elsewhere. Hmph. This is the first time I've ever had to do this," he said, the last words nothing more than a murmur. Most Jedi and Sith remove their cloaks when they know that they're going to be in a prolonged engagement. The cloaks become liabilities, limiting their movement with the blade. Two exceptions were Darth Sidious and Yoda. Vader, on the other hand, took great pride in being able to defeat enemies without removing his cloak. Not since Mustafar has he had to do so. Until now.
Darth Vader threw back his black, armor-weave cloak, letting it settle to the ground. Katarn knew that the cloak had been somewhat restrictive on Vader. He could tell from the way Vader seemed to stretch after he threw it off. In seconds, Vader was on him again, slashing and thrusting with a speed that matched that of the best swordsmen in the Jedi Temple...and Morgan hadn't been one of them. Vader slashed again and again, each time weakening Morgan's defenses. Then Morgan gasped as he felt the burn of the lightsaber's tip in his right shoulder. Then another wound on his left leg. Vader's blade then severed his hands, sending his lightsaber flying. Morgan fell to his knees, gasping for breath, trying to call on the Force to relax himself. Then he saw Vader catch his lightsaber, igniting its emerald blade. He began to try and release himself into the Force. He was only dimly aware of Vader crossing the two blades at his neck. And then the Dark Lord of the Sith uncrossed the blades, sending the Jedi Master into oblivion.
Vader shut down the other saber and sighed. He truly had wished the duel could have lasted longer, but he knew that he had other matters to attend to. The Death Star, his woman, the child Mara. Not to mention his training in the Dark Side. The Force continually whispered to him now. The time would soon come when Sara'a Stone would have to prove which side she was on, once and for all.
************************************************************************************
Anakin and Obi-Wan watched as their children began to pick up on some of the basics of the control they had been lacking. Anakin could only hope that they would stop with the practical jokes soon. Then he felt a tremor in the Force, one that caused him to wince. Obi-Wan felt it too, and soon bowed his head. At that same time, the children looked up at the adults, and Luke was the first to ask, "Dad, what was that I just felt?"
Anakin looked at Obi-Wan, and then knelt down to look his son in the eyes. "Luke...what you all felt was a great warrior...a great Jedi...passing from this world," he said. Not only did he say this with words and his facial expressions, but through the Force as well. "Yes, this is a sad thing, but it's also a joyful thing. That warrior has passed from this world into the Force. He has become one with it. As we all will at some point."
The thought was strange, but a sobering thought to the young Jedi apprentices. Anakin hoped that one day they would understand the responsibility they carried.

Such wisdom from Anakin, I'm impressed.
That was a good post. Vader really has a way with people. I love it! But then again, he's not ready to become the master.

RE: Twilight of the Sith(Saga AU: Possible RotS Spoilers!)Finally UPDATED!!! 1/31/07!!!!
Okay, new update. We are now 15 years after Order 66, and 5 years prior to the Battle of Yavin.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was aware of two things the moment he entered the homestead. First of all, there seemed to be a lot of tension in the air. Second of all, he heard the tinkling sound of broken glass. "Thanks for ruining my life dad!" came a female voice from the living area. A moment later, a female form rushed past him and into a bedroom so fast that Obi-Wan swore that she was moving at light speed. If the doors in the Lars homestead weren't sliders, Kenobi was sure that the young lady's entrance into her room would've been accompanied by a slamming door.
Obi-Wan walked into the living area to see a bewildered looking Anakin, and a very upset looking Padmé. Without saying anything, Padmé gave Anakin a very evil glare and pushed past Obi-Wan to follow the upset Leia. Anakin looked at his former Master, and Obi-Wan had to ask, "What in blazes just happened?"
Anakin sighed, "Well, you know Han Solo?"
Obi-Wan's eyebrow lifted slightly. "Our informant? The one who invited you to work on his ship with him?" Obi-Wan remembered well their first meeting with the young Corellian who had taken the job of being their informer on the goings-on of the Galaxy. It had been in one of the docking bays in Mos Eisley, and in front of the ship that Solo had very recently aquired from their previous informer, Lando Calrissian, in a game of sabacc. The instant Anakin had seen the Millennium Falcon, his eyes lit up, and Obi-Wan knew it was love at first sight. From that day on, Anakin and Han had become fast friends, working on the Falcon for a long time. Anakin had even volunteered to help Solo when he had decided to take on an Imperial slave ship, which had resulted in the rescue of the Wookiee Chewbacca. Han and Anakin had been friends for nearly eight years, so Obi-Wan had to wonder what Solo had to do with Leia's outburst.
Anakin had been fidgeting while these thoughts went through Obi-Wan's mind, a habit that harkened back to the time when Anakin had still been annoyed at Kenobi's training methods. Obi-Wan recognized it as being a sign of deep annoyance. Not anger, but close to it. "Well, apparently Leia has been...dating him for several months," Anakin finally said.
Obi-Wan resisted the urge to scratch his head. He certainly had no qualms about his daughter being involved in romantic relationships. In fact, he was well aware that Sapphire took every opportunity to join Luke on trips to Tosche Station so she could be with her latest interest. And he was actually pleased. Her relationship with Biggs Darklighter had definitely had a good influence on her. So, he finally said, "What's wrong with that?"
Anakin shook his head and growled, "Nothing, except that they've been dating behind my back. I had to find out myself, rather than either of them telling me." Anakin had heard about it from Chewbacca of all people, so to speak.
Obi-Wan sighed. "Anakin, it's not a crime. Need I remind you that you were married to Padmé behind all of your friends' backs for years?" he said to his friend.
"That's why it's making me mad Obi-Wan! My children should be better than me!" Anakin said, pounding the table with his mechanical hand, making a sizable dent in it. Obi-Wan shook his head, looking at his friend. The years on Tatooine had left their mark on Obi-Wan, making him look years older than he was. His hair had gone almost completely gray. Anakin's hair was now streaked with silver, and still hung at his shoulders. The entire family, including their wives, were older than they had been when the trouble with the Empire and the Sith had begun. But wisdom accompanied age, and Obi-Wan knew that Anakin was just wrestling with an aspect of his past that he still felt ashamed of.
"Anakin, I know that you still feel shame for hiding your marriage from me. But you shouldn't. You were protecting your loved ones, and I understand," the older Jedi said. "You're wiser, my young friend, but you still need to remember that a lot of the things from your past need to be forgotten. Forget your anger, forget your shame. Just remember your friends and your family."
Anakin looked down, lacing his fingers together. In a moment, Padmé came into the room, her arms crossed. "Anakin, how could you do that to Leia? Does it really matter that she and Han had been dating?!" she shouted. Owen's head peeked out of the kitchen at the noise, but he quickly ducked back in. "What do you have to say for yourself?!"
Obi-Wan held up a hand to stop her tirade, but he quickly stopped when Padmé's glare transferred to him. Anakin's face was scrunched up in a horrible wince, but he slowly came out of it. "Padmé...maybe I overreacted. I'm just not comfortable with Leia dating Han Solo." Anakin looked thoughtful for a moment. "Maybe it's because I see a lot of myself in him."
Padmé sat next to him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "That's understandable. And I'm sure you see a lot of me in Leia, right?" Anakin nodded. "My love, you have to let her make her own choices. You'll hurt her deeply if you try to seperate her from that path. Do you remember how you felt when I tried to stop our relationship from growing, back on Naboo?"
Anakin nodded. "I was devastated. And that's what I'm doing to our daughter," he said. He quickly stood and stormed from the room, not even giving a second thought to what he was going to do. He opened the door to Leia's room, seeing her sitting crosslegged on her bed. The fifteen year old girl reminded him so much of Padmé when they had first met that fateful day in Watto's shop that he couldn't help but smile when he saw her. Leia had her dark hair tied back in a ponytail, and was trying not to look at her father. "Leia? May I come in?"
Leia still refused to meet his gaze, but replied, "It's a free galaxy, do what you want." The Skywalker daughter quickly regretted saying that, recalling that the galaxy wasn't free, but she didn't say anything else.
Anakin sat down next to her and sighed. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I just..."
"You can't stand the fact that I'm dating someone just like you, right?"
"No that's not it!" Anakin said quickly. He kept his gaze lowered, still talking, "It's just that you kept it from me. I'm afraid that you'll try to keep it secret. I don't want you to make the same mistake that your mother and I almost made. The time we had apart ended up sowing a lot of distrust that was almost the undoing of our marriage. If it wasn't for the fact that we discovered that we were being manipulated by Darth Sidious, it might have split us apart forever. I don't want you to feel that you have to hide things like that, okay?"
Leia looked over at him, sensing that he was being sincere and that he was very worried that she'd follow his footsteps. "Dad...it's not like we weren't going to tell you. I just didn't know how you'd feel about me dating someone ten years older than me," she said.
Anakin suppressed a wince, having forgotten about Han's age. "Well, I trust your judgement Leia. You've got your mother's intelligence and my talents in the Force. I think you'll be able to figure out if something's going wrong," he said after a few moments. He hugged his daughter close and stretched into the Force. He felt the currents of the Force around Leia and came to a decision. "Come on. We have to talk to Master Kenobi about something." Leia looked confused but followed Anakin back to the living room where Obi-Wan and Padmé were waiting. They looked at each other and Anakin stated, "Obi-Wan. We need to talk to Han about passage to Adega."

RE: Twilight of the Sith(Saga AU: Possible RotS Spoilers!)Finally UPDATED!!! 1/31/07!!!!
Well, here's a new update guys. Hope it's appreciated!
The young lieutenant fell to the deck, his throat crumpled to almost nothing. Darth Vader stepped over him and into the quarters he shared with Sara and Mara while they were on the Death Star. He didn't care that Sara and Mara were engaged in saber training. He had a priority call from the Emperor, and it couldn't wait. He forced the door open and swept in, throwing his cloak off. He saw twin flashes of crimson, and then he saw them. Sara Stone was still an attractive woman, her form still lithe, her blue eyes still full of fire. Her blonde hair now streaked with silver, Sara was wiser than she had been, both in life and in the Dark Side of the Force. Vader noted that Mara Jade had grown from a pesky little child with many questions and unquestionable talent in the Force into a dangerous and beautiful young woman. Her red-gold hair was tied back in a ponytail for her duel, though it usually hung around her shoulders. Both women carried scarlet bladed lightsabers, evidence of their allegiance to the Dark Side of the Force. Despite the fact that Vader longed to see how far the two of them had come with their training, the Emperor came first. With a flicker of his will, their lightsabers deactivated. When the two women faced him, he said only one thing. "Leave." They quickly complied, knowing what would await them if they didn't. As soon as the door sealed itself, Vader kneeled on the holoplate in the center of the room. In seconds, Emperor Palpatine's image resolved in the form of a larger-than-life image of his head. Vader bowed his head, showing his Master only his silvering hair. "What is thy bidding, my Master?"
"Lord Vader. It has come to my attention that you have been rather...strict on the officers under your command. Let me remind you that, while expendable, they are not just your men...and they're not the only ones who are expendable," came Palpatine's voice, as cold as the ice of Ilum.
Vader shivered at the power conveyed in that voice, knowing how close he was to death. "Yes, my Master," he said softly. He still had a long way to go before he could attain mastery of the Dark Side, and he needed to be alive to attain that mastery.
"Very well. How does the construction of the Death Star proceed?"
"It proceeds well, my Lord. The engineers believe it will be fully operational in four or five years."
"Why so long?"
"There have been difficulties in the construction. Most of it lies with the reactor and the superlaser assembly. In order to get the power output required for the weapon, it will require far more power than they can generate right now. It will take at least two years to overhaul the primary reactor and another year or so to rebuild the superlaser and connect it to the reactor. At least, that's how I understand it from what Moff Tarkin has told me."
Palpatine's brow creased in thought for a moment, and then he said, "Very well. Then there is only one last thing to inform you of. Imperial Intelligence has located a Jedi in the vicinity of Ansion. The identity of this Jedi is unknown. I want you to deal with it. Sara Stone will be returning here soon. I may have another lead on her hunt for Aeon Fothe."
Vader, his eyes still gazing on the deck, replied, "Yes, my Master." The Emperor's image faded into nothingness, leaving Vader alone with his thoughts.
**********************************************************************************
Mara Jade took a sip of a very tart drink that Sara had given her. "Why is Lord Vader always in such a terrible mood?"
Sara chuckled softly, taking a sip of her own drink, savoring the burn of the Corellian whiskey as it flowed down her throat. "You don't know how many times I've asked the same question. But then again, I have a tendency to lose my temper too," she replied.
"This may be true, but you don't crush people," Mara pointed out. "So, what's our next mission?"
Sara sighed. She hadn't really been comfortable with Mara helping her with her assignments as the Emperor's Hand. She also wasn't comfortable with the fact that Palpatine wanted to groom Jade for the same job. But Palpatine made it clear that he didn't need Mara as a Dark Jedi or anything of the sort right now. "Well, I'm not sure yet. Right now, I think we're supposed to stay by Lord Vader's side..." Suddenly she felt a ripple in the Force. Now she knew where they were needed. "On the other hand, we should return to Coruscant. Lord Sidious wishes our return," she said. She knew better than to disobey, despite the fact that she'd rather remain on the Death Star.
Mara sighed. "Moth-I mean, Mistress Stone...when will I be allowed to create my own lightsaber?"
"What's wrong with the one you have now?"
"Nothing, except that it's not really mine. I didn't choose the crystal. Lord Sidious gave it to me. While I appreciate the gift, I want the Force to lead me to mine, like it did for you," Mara replied. She brushed her long hair behind her ear. "I want it to be special."
Sara stared at her adopted daughter for a moment, then shrugged. "Okay, I'll ask Lord Sidious if we can make a short stop at Ilum before returning to Coruscant."
Mara smiled, a pretty thing that faded as several Imperial officers walked by, staring at her. She had a brief thought of plunging her lightsaber into one of their skulls, but decided against it. It seemed like a far too messy thing for the mess hall of the battle station. Instead, she tweaked his mind with the Force, planting the small suggestion that perhaps his life wasn't worth living any longer. A sly smile came to her visage as the man's face suggested supreme depression. Then she saw Lord Vader enter the room. "Lord Vader," she said in greeting.
He took long strides to their table and said, "I will be leaving for Ansion shortly."
Sara nodded and replied, "And we, for Coruscant. Though, I'm sure you already knew that. I plan to ask Lord Sidious something before we get en route though."
Vader merely nodded. "Then, I wish you luck in your endeavour. I have a good feeling about my own mission. It may be an unknown Jedi, but there's not a Jedi alive that can defeat me," he said.
"What about Skywalker?" Mara mumbled. Vader glared at her, but decided not to press the issue. She had a point, though he was loath to admit it. If his own power was any indication, Anakin was extremely powerful and growing stronger. Vader honestly could not wait until his next meeting with Skywalker, no matter the outcome.
"Well, it's time. I shall see you again," Vader said, turning from the two women. His cloak billowed as he left, his destination dictated by his Master and the Force itself.

What a nice little family we have there...
What about the Skywalkers and Kenobis? What are they waiting for? Perhaps they expect all the other Jedi to be slaughtered...

RE: Twilight of the Sith(Saga AU: Possible RotS Spoilers!)Finally UPDATED!!! 1/31/07!!!!
Well, they're trying to lie low, as are most of the Jedi. It just so happens that Vader and Sidious are good at tracking them down, just like in the original timeline. Yes, the Skywalkers and Kenobis can feel a lot of what's going on, but to do anything about it would be intentionally putting themselves in harm's way. Speaking of Skywalker... update!
As soon as Anakin stepped into Hanger Bay 327, he knew that a trip to Adega wouldn't be possible for a while. From the way the Millennium Falcon was hooked up to many fueling lines, she was getting ready for a long journey. "Don't tell me it doesn't work Chewie, I fixed those lines last night!" Han Solo was yelling. Anakin heard a long roar from inside, which he took to mean that those lines were indeed not functional. "Stang!" Solo cursed, kicking a crate over on his way up the ramp. Anakin followed, not really used to being ignored by the man. "Come on Chewie, we've got less than five hours to get this heap up in the air!"
"Uhh, Han?" Anakin asked before Han tromped past into the engine room of the Falcon. "Han? Can we talk for a minute?"
"Not now Anakin! We've got a tight schedule," he said. He shoved past Anakin. "Chewie! We've gotta get this kriffin engine fixed!"
Anakin asked, "What's going on?"
"We've gotta job. Can't really go into the specifics right now," Han said as he went down the corridor to the cockpit.
"Smuggling huh? Well, when you get back, I have a job for you," Anakin replied.
"Fine, fine. Chewie! What's the problem with that stabilizer?!" The Wookiee growled something to the effect that if he knew what the problem was, it wouldn't be a problem. "Fine, be snippy! Then maybe you can explain why we can't make a pickup in time!"
"Well, since you're busy, I guess I'll go. I'll be sure to tell Leia you said hi," Anakin said before starting to go down the ramp.
"Huh, what? Wait a second, she told you?!" he heard Han say. Anakin hid a knowing smile. "I mean, what did she tell you?" Han tried to say, attempting to hide the fact that they had been hiding something, but only making it worse.
"It's okay Han. Now, do you want to hear about the job I have for you, or not?"
"Well, sure, but it'll be a couple of weeks," Han replied, still a little shaken.
"I need you to ferry me, Obi-Wan, Luke, Leia, and Sapphire to the Ossus system," Anakin said, going past Han into the engine room and taking a look at the components.
"Wait, Ossus? You mean Adega? What are you wanting to go there for? There's nothing there since the Empire wiped out the Jedi," Han said.
"Not even Imperial outposts?" Anakin asked, getting underneath some of the engine parts and starting to work.
"If there are, they're not important ones. The whole system is pretty much offlimits to the Imperial fleet, near as I can tell. Which strikes me as strange, considering Palpatine's obsession with ridding the galaxy of everything Jedi. Could be a trap or something," Solo wondered aloud, pacing the deck.
"Well, in my opinion, it's a safer option than Ilum."
"That's no joke. Ilum's not only on the other side of Imperial Center, it's also become a major base for them. From my understanding, the Temple's still intact, but other than that, the place is one big stormtrooper fortress."
Anakin grinned, and then yelled out, "Try it now Chewie!" A moment later, the Falcon's engines roared to life. "We'll be waiting for you when you get back, and don't worry about payment. We'll be sure to pay you plenty." Anakin strolled down the ramp, Han gazing after him.
"Too bad that man had to become a Jedi. He'd make a top notch smuggler," Han stated before heading back inside the ship.

RE: Twilight of the Sith(Saga AU: Possible RotS Spoilers!)Finally UPDATED!!! 4/7/07
Well, here's another update for you guys! Sorry for the wait and all that jazz.
Sara wasn't particularly happy to be back on Coruscant so soon. She'd rather be out in space, or with Lord Vader...hell, she'd even rather be on Geonosis right now. But this is where the Emperor wanted her at the moment, so this is where she'd be. Specifically, down on bended knee, her head bowed before Lord Sidious.
"So, Mara is unhappy with the crystal that we provided for her?" he asked.
"It's not that exactly. I think she has an honor bound sense that she needs to go to Ilum and find her own. That was what I had intended for her in the first place," Sara explained.
"Yes, and what you requested on your way back to Coruscant. However, I felt that it was more beneficial to give the girl a lightsaber made with a crystal that we already had available than to let her go trouncing through an Imperial base," Sidious said, rising from his chair.
Sara winced. "Then, perhaps Adega, my Lord?"
"Adega? You mean Ossus? Hmmm, perhaps. But for now, remain here. I may have a new lead on your hunt for Aeon Fothe," Sidious replied, mentioning the name as though it were a little thing.
The mention of Aeon burned into Sara's blood though. Twice now the fool had escaped her, and she promised herself that she would either destroy him utterly, or die trying at their next meeting. Though she could not see it, her eyes were clouded over with hatred. A hatred not of her own. "I hope that I will bring him to justice in your name, my Master," she said, her voice a deep growl.
"I know you will, child. You may leave," Palpatine said kindly.
Sara stood and stalked out of the room. As soon as the large doors closed behind her though, her demeanor changed. It was like a sheet of pure calm fell over her. Maybe the sight of Mara was what calmed her. Maybe it was being out of Palpatine's presence. Either way, Stone had complete control again. "Come Mara. We'll go to the gardens to train," she said to the other woman.
Mara made an offhand remark about there not being any real gardens, but Sara ignored it. When they arrived at what was once a garden of meditation in the old Jedi Temple, the women ignited their lightsabers and were quickly at each other, their blades flashing against the opposing blade. Each strike grew more and more dangerous, Mara clearly gaining the upper hand. However, Mara didn't expect Sara to drop her guard. She cut high, but Sara's dropped guard was a feint, luring her into a saber lock. Stone grinned at her adopted daughter between the bars of energy, and then shut off her saber, causing Mara to tumble forward. Sara spun and kicked Mara in the back, knocking her to the ground and forcing her to lose her hold on her weapon. When Mara looked up, she saw the other's lightsaber hovering in front of her nose. Then it withdrew and was replaced by Sara's outstretched hand. Mara took it gratefully as she was lifted off the ground. Mara admired her mother, her pure determination to achieve an end. She knew that nothing would keep her from a goal. Not even the Emperor himself. Yet she also knew that there was no way her mother would ever betray the Emperor or the Empire itself.
