	Here's Chapter 3. Anakin opened the door to the office. A bell rang as the two Jedi entered and a Mon Calamari stood up behind a desk. “How may I help you?” “We were directed here by a freighter captain. She said the owner was always willing to hire escorts.” Anakin said bowing slightly. “That he is.” She pressed a button that Tahiri and Anakin couldn’t see. “There are two pilots here looking after those escort jobs.” She gave the Mon Cal equivalent of a smile. “Go on in.” “Thank you.” There was a buzz, and what had looked like a painting opened, and Anakin led the way through. The two Jedi almost stopped walking, before them was a large pool of water with a Mon Calamari male swimming and apparently running a business from underneath it, they were standing on a small pad of tile about two meters wide by three long. After a few seconds he surfaced. “Welcome, I’m Tant; I own Galactic Shipping and Trade. You two are the pilots here about the escort jobs?” He looked up at them. “Yes, sir, I’m Anakin Solo, and this is my wing-mate Tahiri Veila.” Anakin spoke for them again. “Ahh, am I right in assuming you two don’t want to be split up?” “Not if it can’t be helped.” Tahiri said looking around. Her toes rubbed at tile floor enjoying the cool and smooth sensation of it. “I don’t blame you.” The Mon Calamari said softly. “Behind you there are some water suits and rebreathers.” He pointed towards the walls guarding the door. Six suits hung there with a bunch of com-linked rebreathers. Anakin found one that fit him and stepped into it, it zipped up the front and became water tight at the press of a button. He pressed the button and was surprised when it shrank to fit his outer clothing. Tahiri followed his example and they both dawned rebreathers before jumping into the warm water. “These suits must have cost you a fortune.” Anakin commented as soon as the Mon Cal had dawned an earpiece and boom microphone for the com-link. “I got them from my grandfather. He started this company.” Tant then swam down to where his ‘desk’ was along with his datapads and disks. Apparently they were all waterproof. “There are foot holds for you along the bottom.” Once Anakin and Tahiri were settled in he began going over what they would be doing. He would repair their ships and provide them with weapons, fuel, lodging and a small pay check after each shipment. In return they would escort freighters on their missions and fight off anybody that attacked them. Anakin was extremely happy with the agreement, and hoped they would be able to figure out some way to get back to his own time before long. After all he didn’t want to be around for the Clone Wars. After an hour of negotiations and deciding on different things the two Jedi swam to the surface and removed the water suits. As they went to exit the door the Mon Cal told them to get the location of their lodgings from his secretary. “Tant told us to get the place we’ll be sleeping from you.” Tahiri said to the Mon Cal behind the desk. “Here you are.” She handed the young woman the disposable datapad. “Oh and you need to move your ships to bay A-21.” She then handed Anakin two datachips. “Those are your new transponder codes. They’ll show you as GST X-wing 1 and 2. They’re marked which one is which.” She smiled and nodded. “I’ll see you next week for your first job.” Anakin stowed the datachips and Tahiri looked over the datapad. “Anakin,” she said getting his attention, “they only gave us one room.” “Don’t worry, there are probably two beds.” He said with a grin. “And who cares if there aren’t, we’ve been in tight quarters before.” He was obviously referring to the events on Yag’dul. “And there wasn’t a horrible outcome.” He smiled and kissed her on the cheek. “You’re such a dummy sometimes Anakin.” She teased pushing him slightly. “But I’m your dummy.” He used the thrice damned ‘Solo-grin’. “And you remember that the next time you say something stupid.” She said as they exited the building onto the street. “Now let’s go move our fighters, then we’ll go see what these accommodations are like.” I hope yall liked it. -----signature----- "There will be pages. 	I hope Anakin's around for the Clone Wars. Actually, I would like Anakin to stop the Clone Wars. 	that's what I was going for. And I forget what chapter I'm on... [Edit] I figured it out, and here's chapter 4, I didn't realize I was ahead The young Jedi’s new accommodations were nothing fancy. Your basic spacer lair, a bedroom, ‘fresher, cooking area, and small sitting room, not to much, but all the two Jedi would need. As soon as they found them Anakin got onto the holo terminal in the bedroom, and read about current events. They didn’t want to stand out for lack of knowledge on current events. “Anakin, what are we going to do about our clothes?” Tahiri asked lying on the bed, counting the ceiling tiles. Anakin turned the chair around. “We can sell the spare power-packs for our blasters; those could get us some creds at a pawn shop. Again we could cheat at sabacc.” Now that he really thought about it, it sounded like a bad idea. “Maybe we could ask for an advance on our pay.” “Do you think Tant would do that?” Tahiri asked flipping around so she was on her stomach looking at Anakin. “He is a trader first.” “True.” He seems different than other traders I’ve known. “But it’s not like he’s a smuggler.” “Yeah.” Tahiri’s feet and lower legs waved in the air. “Aren’t they going to want to work on our fighters today?” Tahiri asked, obviously bored. Jedi or not, she was a teenaged human. “Not for another few hours.” “Oh.” “Why don’t we just go walk around. There has to be something interesting to do.” Anakin said standing up from the chair and grabbing the gun belt that held his lightsaber and blaster; Tahiri followed his actions and the two teenagers left their small apartment. They then joined a CorSec officer in the turbolift. He glanced at them and did a double take at their lightsabers. “Where did you get those?” He asked trying to mask his suspicions. “Get what?” Anakin asked looking at him, he then noticed the CorSec patch on his left shoulder. “The lightsabers, where did you get them, I thought only Jedi had them.” “We are Jedi, of a sort.” Anakin answered. “You look a little young. And I’ve never seen Jedi who carry a blaster and wear an orange jumpsuit.” His hand rested on his own blaster. “As I said Jedi of a sort. Not traditionalist Jedi.” “Then you won’t mind supplying identi-cards?” “Nope, it won’t be a problem.” Anakin pulled out his identi-card and handed it to the officer. “Tahiri, give the man your identi-card.” “The New Galactic Republic, what’s that, a misprint?” He asked handing back Anakin’s identi-card. “Something like that.” Anakin pocketed the card. And exited the turbo-lift as soon as the doors were open wide enough for him to get through, Tahiri was an inch behind him. We need to be more careful.” Tahiri said as the two ducked into a small shop. “Maybe we should stop carrying our lightsabers.” “No, that would just put us in more danger. Maybe we should head for Coruscant.” “What’s one Coruscant?” Tahiri feigned looking at a shimmer-silk dress. “The Jedi Temple, hopefully they would accept us and let us continue our training.” “What about Tant? We have to repay him for fixing our ships.” “We’ll do two jobs for him. One wherever he needs us to go and one to Coruscant.” Anakin said opening up the door. The only reason they had entered the shop to talk without to much interruption. “That sounds good. Now why don’t we head for the spaceport so we can work on our X-wings.” Tahiri suggested taking Anakin’s hand. Once she was assigned an X-wing, she had Anakin teach her the ins and outs of the mechanics for the fighter, and slowly grew to enjoy tinkering and repairing it as much as any Solo, if not more. -----signature----- "There will be pages.
