Yes Minela I liked it! Maybe because you have made the characters feel-
Everyone really wants Vader to remember and to come back and I think that Naimah may be the only one to reach him.
I always like when a young Leia meets Vader the two of them together is always facinating.

Darth-Buddy Yeah, Xizor is a slimy two-faced lizzard. He just can't stand loosing the things he wants. He has some kind of a God complex for being the third most powerful guy in the Galaxy.
obsessedwithSW I'm so glad you liked it. There is nobody in the galaxy now who wants to see Vader regain his humanity more than Naimah, but it might just cost her her own humanity.

I hope you enjoy this little teaser.
Him: From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven’t thought of you. And now that I’m with you again, I’m in agony…The closer I get to you, the worse it gets…the thought of not being with you...I can’t breathe. I’m haunted by the kiss that you should have never given me. My heart is beating, hoping that that kiss will not become a scar.
You are in my very soul, tormenting me. What can I do?
I will do anything that you ask.
He looked down, away from her beautiful face terrified by what he might read in her eyes. Next to him, she was a Goddess, an angel sent down from the heavens to torment his soul. His heart was pounding uncontrollably, he could not bear to look at her without knowing she was his own.
Him: If you are suffering as much as I am, please tell me!
Padme: I can’t.
She whispered.
Padme: We can’t…it’s just not…possible.
Him: Anything is possible, Padme. Listen to me…
Padme: No, you listen! We live in a real world, come back to it. You are studying to become a Jedi…I…I’m a Senator.
Her words were like daggers stabbing his soul. Wanting to escape her rigid stare, his gaze shifted back to the floor.
Padme: If you follow your thoughts through to conclusion, it will take us to a place we cannot go.
Regardless of the way we feel about each other.
A glimmer of hope…
Him: Than you do feel something!
Padme: I will not let you give up your future for me.
Him: You are asking me to be rational. That is something I know I cannot to. Believe me, I wish that I could just wish away my feelings. But I can’t.
She remained firm, not wanting to give into his pleas.
Her stern eyes were focused on his, wanting to calm the passion that was consuming his spirit. The demon raging inside him tried to convince her to let go.
Padme: I will not give in to this.
He turned away from her, almost giving up his resolve…
Him: Well, you know…it wouldn’t have to be that way.
We could keep it a secret.
Padme: We’d be living a lie. One we couldn’t keep even if we wanted to. I couldn’t do that. Could you Anakin?
Could you live like that?
Him: No you are right.
His eyes sparkled with determination; he knew he did not want to wait any longer. With a surge of adrenalin cursing through his veins, he made it across the room in two steps and took her trembling face in his hands.
Forcefully he put his lips on hers, kissing her with the vigor of a desperate man.
Him: I don’t want to hide our love. Not anymore!
He was drowning in the sweetness that was she.
Through the Force he felt her fear and her desire, her entire being. He could feel in her the love that burned in both of their hearts. She wanted him.
Finally he had her in his arms and this time nothing would ever make him let go. He buried his face in her hair, letting her scent wash over his senses. His arms tightened around her waist seemingly wanting to fuse his body with hers.
Him: Padme…
Her body disappeared; he was left with only her voice echoing in his head. He heard her playful laughter and followed the sound onto a meadow. There he saw her running through an array of flowers. He tried to follow but his legs would not move. He looked down only to find himself bound to machines that impaired his movement.
Him: Padme, wait! Wait! Don’t go!
She did not listen but ran away from him laughing. He was left immobile, alone in the dark. Defeated, he fell to his knees and covered his head with gloved hands that were not his own. He fought against himself only to hear her happy laughter echo in his head again mocking him. Turning to face her he saw Obi-Wan, his old mentor treacherously steeling his wife. They were together, like he always suspected them to be. Happy.
Mocking him.
Him: PAAAAADME!
His voice was hoarse. All the tenderness he felt for her a moment before was replaced in his soul by a feeling of anger at the insult. How could she betray him so viciously? Hate overpowered his thoughts. Their laughing faces full of ferocity and disdain were ugly to his eyes. He wanted them to die.
Master: Kill them! They don’t deserve to be kept alive!
With his saber ignited he charged towards them swinging at their lying faces. Wit intensely burning hate he lunged his blade into their bodies trying to silence their vicious mouths, but with fail.
Him: I HATE YOU! I…hate you…
Tears were streaming down his face whilst he watched them disappear. Metal rods engulfed his body in a cage of wires and cables; he was drowning in used droid parts. He couldn’t move, and all he felt was the sharp pain of betrayal.
Him: I LOVE YOU!!! I LOVE YOU!!!
He was all-alone for what seemed like an eternity in the clod of empty space. Nothing around him but droids, only droids everywhere he looked.
Him: Save me…
Master: The Dark will save you, the Dark is forgiving, and only I won’t judge you for what you did. She will never understand. The Dark will give you peace, and power…unlimited…power.
She freed him of his bondage, placing a small gentle hand on his cheek. Like ice on a Tatooine afternoon his anguish melted away. She was his salvation. Like a child he put his head in her lap hugging her waist tightly, afraid to let go and loose her again.
Padme: Come back to me, Ani.
Master: No…you belong to me. You belong to the Dark Side, Lord Vader.
Padme: Ani…please… You are a good person; don’t do this.
Master: You will not betray me.
She was slipping away from his grip into the waters of a river, her blue dress floating around her body.
Clutching a japer pendant, which was resting on her protruding belly, she pleaded with him.
Padme: Ani, save me…
Master: Lord Vader, you know…the power of the Dark Side. You must obey!
Like paint her hair dissolved in the water, only leaving small white flowers floating on the surface.
Her face was disappearing in the dark; she was drowning.
Padme: I love you…Ani…
Him: I’m sorry, Padme. I…can’t. I can’t.
Padme: Resist Ani… for me…for our child.
Him: Forgive me, Padme. I am weak.
Master: I am your Master, and you…are forever a slave…
I left it up to you to decide who is "Him" and who is "Master".

wooooooooo very cool.
i presume this is what Vader/Anakin is experiencing in the Bardo of leaving his old body and entering the cloned one.
I liked the sequence about drowning in droid parts the best.

Oh Ani...poor Ani. He still loves Padme so much, and that love so quickly turns to hatred for Kenobi when he thinks they conspired together. How very visual, from him following her, to her drowning (her funeral) and asking him to come back. I really think in his dream sequence the real Padme spirit and Palpatine were both competing for his soul.

Wow a new reader!!! Whoot Whoot.  Thank you for dropping by, and thank you for your kind words. You are absolutley right, I still haven't figured out if it is fruitless or tragic.
ratna Glad you thought it was cool, and you are absolutley right. It was Vader in his limbo state dreaming. I like the droids part the best, too.  And hang in there just a little bit longer, I am almost finished with the next chapter, and am working on it with the lovely ROTSFan.
Amidala Thank you for reading, I am so glad you like it. I needed to throw a little bit of Padme-Ani romance (and tragedy, I couldn't resist).
ROTSFan I know, I know...poor Ani. Maybe you can kick the Emperor a little in your writing, make him feel your wrath. Hahaha.

Ok, now for the announcement. Although a lot of you might know it by now, the lovely ROTSFan will be joining the story as a co-writer. I look forward to her imput and help and I'm sure the story will be more exciting because of it. Next chapter will be our first co-written piece. Drumroll please...
