	Title - Dreaming of You Author - Anakin_Heartbreaker Characters - Anakin, Padme, Sabe, Handmaidens, Naberries, and more. Era - PT Keywords - A/P, romance Summary - Anakin and Padme were destined to fall in love! I won't say anymore! Disclaimer - As always, Lucas owns everything. I am just a fan with a story to tell. Hi everyone, this is the first of the two A/P fics I have got lined up for 2006. The second, the Game of Death will be up soon. I will however be spending most my time on my main fic When We Were Lovers. If anyone would like to be on the PM list, please let me know! Dreaming of You Chapter One Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight, frantically clutched his throbbing heart. It was a fruitless attempt to extinguish the inexorable beating, which had done nothing, but be detrimental to his once calm demeanor. As the Chosen One stood in the magnificent throne room of Theed Palace, he felt embarrassed, and betrayed by his own emotions. Despite not having seen Padme since he was a boy, he still could see her. The affection of her benevolent eyes, and the enchantment of her loving smile, never failed to torment his yearning heart. Anakin’s dedication to becoming a Jedi Knight, was unparalleled, but deep down, he knew his diligent training was to control the one emotion, which controlled him…Love. Anakin’s eagerness, to accept the assignment to protect Senator Padme Amidala, was to prove to himself, if he had done enough. But the merciless twisting of his stomach, and the excruciating pain, surging frenetically through his sculpted body, made him come to the realization of how much he loved her. Nothing had changed…Nothing. “I think I’m going insane.” Anakin whispered; as he meticulously examined Queen Jamillia take her seat. Anakin gave her a warm smile, and bowed respectfully. The Chosen One was determined to follow everything according to protocol, but he could sense Padme all around him. The staggering potency of her presence, continued to assault Anakin’s mind. However, she was no where to be found. “Master Jedi, please accept our warmest gratitude, for assisting us at such a time.” The Queen said. “It is an honor to serve you and your people my Queen.” Anakin was well accustomed to all the formalities. “We still appreciate everything.” The Queen insisted. “As you have been informed, with all the potential dangers, from extreme political idealists…it is imperative that Senator Amidala be protected at all costs.” Sio Bibble stated. Anakin remained attentive, as the Queen spoke. “Her vote is very important, for all of us.” “I can assure you, I will uphold my duty.” The confidence in Anakin’s voice was a much needed welcome to all that heard it. “Anakin…” Anakin’s cerulean eyes moved across the room, his pulse responded instantaneously to the harmonic voice. “Anakin…” Anakin quickly, but reluctantly regained his composure. He turned his gaze back to the Queen. “Is Senator Amidala not joining us?” Anakin asked inquisitively. “She has retired to her room.” Sio Bibble replied. “She was not feeling well, but I am sure that she will make an appearance soon.” Anakin could feel the raging furnace within him, incinerate his entire being. Padme was in the palace, she was close to him. The Chosen One could feel his lips dry, and his breathing grew more erratic, as visions of his eventual meeting with the love of his life, took him to breaking point. “Sabe will take you to your room.” The Queen gestured for the handmaiden to make her appearance. “Please rest, we will discuss more when Senator Amidala is amongst us.” Anakin responded with a slight bow, and waited patiently for Sabe to approach him. “Please follow me master Jedi.” Sabe smiled. “Sabe, it’s me. Anakin…” The Chosen One said, as they walked down the long hallways of the illustrious palace. Sabe’s eyes sparkled, as she gasped in amazement. The handmaiden abruptly halted her movement. “Anakin…oh my…You’re so handsome.” Sabe’s eyes relished the magnificent view. Anakin gave her a roguish smile. “Thanks.” “And you’re a Jedi! Padme is going to be so excited when she finds out!” Sabe struggled to hold in her excitement. “Where’s Padme?” Anakin asked; he could feel the blood rush into his cheeks, as he said her name. “Why?” Sabe asked mischievously. “You seem very eager to meet her.” Anakin realized that Sabe was extremely perceptive, but then again, when it came to Padme, controlling himself was beyond what he was taught. The Chosen One ran his fidgety hand through his golden mane, as he tried not to let more out than he liked. “Ah, you know, it’s been so long. I was just wandering how she is.” Anakin knew that Sabe saw right through it. “You know, Padme wondered a lot about you too.” Sabe whispered. The euphoric sensation that Anakin felt after hearing those words, reached nauseating levels. Anakin coughed gently. “She…She has?” He asked in disbelief. Sabe giggled, this was just so precious. “Yes she has. Wondering what kind of man you’ve grown into. Thinking about what she would say when she saw you again.” Anakin felt his head spinning. Was he dreaming, or did Padme really think about him that much? Sabe could not be that cruel. Could she? “And do you think she will like what she sees?” Anakin asked. Sabe sighed. “More than you will ever know. Now come on, let me show you to your quarters. You’ll be here for a few days, so you better make yourself comfortable.” Sabe led Anakin into an exceptionally exquisite suite. The Chosen One nodded his head in approval. “Well, this is it.” Sabe said. “I’ll be back in a few hours, until then, please get some rest.” As Sabe spun around and left the room, Anakin could sense that she was hiding something from him. Anakin’s breathing got deeper, he could sense Padme. But this time, it was stronger than before…much stronger. “I don’t know how I’m going to make it.” Anakin whispered. “Maybe, if I just freshen up, I might be able to continue this deception.” Anakin removed his Jedi robe, and nonchalantly threw it onto the bed. Anakin removed his tunic, and exposed the pristine aesthetics of his body. His muscles were tense, and he knew why. “I think I to meditate.” Anakin stated logically. Suddenly, a door on the opposite of the room opened. Anakin spun around, and instinctively called for his lightsaber. Padme stepped out of the shower, and into the room wearing a large towel, whilst drying her hair with another. The two screamed simultaneously, as they saw each other. “What are you doing here?’ Padme asked hysterically, as she crossed her arms over her chest. Anakin was dumbfounded; the lightsaber hilt fell from his hand. “I’m talking to you.” Padme spoke with more authority. “What are you doing in my room?” “I...I…” Anakin could not find the words, his whole body froze. Padme methodically studied the stranger, her brown orbs lit up. “Anakin..?” She asked tentatively. Anakin smiled, it was the only thing his body allowed him to do. “Anakin, it is you!” Padme’s smile dissipated, and her jaw dropped, as her eyes fell helplessly onto Anakin’s frame. His perfectly chiseled chest, his deeply etched abdominals…He was extremely easy on the eyes. “Anakin…you look…great.” Anakin lowered his eyes to the floor. “Ah, so do you.” Padme realized that she was hardly dressed appropriately, she slowly moved back towards the door. The main door opened, and Sabe walked in. “Sorry Anakin, wrong room.” Sabe noticed the two were in quite the predicament. “I see that you two have met. Come on Anakin, let me show you your room.”

	Tips her hat to the genius of the decoy handmaiden Sabé and her sneaky side, gotta love it! And knowing Sabé,I have a feeling she'll keep right on with her 'accidents', and probably involve some other handmaidens as cohorts in the process. I absolutely loved this beginning and can't wait for more; I have a hunch the fun has only just begun for re-united Jedi and Senator. Sabé: (I can just see this expression on her face!) Great Start! 	My two favourite things combined.....anakin no shirt and the invovlment of a towel,....tee-hhe I hope you do realises that even if you write the most evil, twisted and action packed story---ill still love it becasue you wrote it... greta way to start the story form Anakin's POV--its nice to know that he was trying to keep himself in check and Sabé....tee-hheee i like her already rachel

	If I recall correctly, you posted on someone else's story that you wanted to have Padme in a towel. I thought that it was cute that you put her in a towel in this story. That Sabe is a sneaky little minx. She has been at the palace for how many years and she can't find the right room? Great start to what will be a great story from a great writer.
