	Title:What The Future Holds Author: Light- Disclaimer: Ah, thanks George. You da man. Summary: Anakin and Obi-wan time travel somehow, from the battle from RotS over Coruscant to ANH. Exactly when Luke, Ben and company are trying to escape from the Death Star. What will happen when Anakin discovers what he becomes? And when He figures out he is the death of Obi-Wan Kenobi? Genre: Angst. And timetravel.. If that's even a genre. To my Master: Dahlia_Santary Without her I couldn't have written this. Well, because.. It was her idea. The skies over Coruscant are blazing with war. Bursts of flak shooting in all directions; fighters and droids blasting away at their enemy. It was a normal day for two starfighters in particular. This bloodshed had been never ending since Geonosis. For them, this battle seemed like any other one. Except now, they were to rescue Chancellor Palpatine and defeat a powerful Sith Lord. Anakin Skywalker had been waiting for this day since the beginning of the Clone Wars. The day he would once again face Count Dooku. It was not Jedi to crave the revenge he seeked, and he knew it. Although Anakin didn't fear Dooku, he feared for the life of his best friend. Obi-Wan Kenobi wasn't as young as he used to be. Anakin knew it, even though he knew his former master would argue strongly on that topic. Always telling Anakin that the gray hairs were not from aging, but from having Anakin as an apprentice all those years. Even though the young knight enjoyed teasing Obi-Wan, he had noticed his friend getting tired more easily while sparring. Usually ending the lightsabre practice before either of them won because he was too worn out. Anakin would always agree with Obi-Wan, but he wondered if he was really worn out, or because he thought Anakin might actually win for once. "I'm hit...Anakin?" Obi-Wan's panicked voice crackled over the cockpit speakers. Anakin spared a quick glance at his friend's starfighter. " I see them. Buzz droids.." Sparks erupt where the droids break into the wiring, tearing apart Obi-Wan's ship. One of them was starting to attack Arfour, Obi-Wan's astrodroid. "Arfour, be careful! You have a job to--" Obi-Wan turned his head just in time to see Arfour's head flying by the viewport of his ship. " Oh dear...Why am I always the bait?" He muttered. It seemed to him that he was always asking that same question. "Anakin, they're shutting down all the controls!" Sometimes Anakin pitied Obi-Wan when he is in trouble. Other times he seemed to find it quite amusing that his friend was always the one in trouble. This time it wasn't the latter, considering this mission could cost one of them their lives. " Move to the right... I need a clear shot at them." Obi-Wan shakes his head. " Anakin.. the mission. Get to the command ship.. rescue the Chancellor. I'm running out of tricks here..." Anakin fired before Obi-Wan could say anything else, blasting away one of the two droids, along with the left wing of Obi-Wan's ship. " Oops.." That was not exactly what Anakin had intended to do. "In the name of..." His ship rocking violently, he managed to look up at his reckless friend. "Hold your fire! You're not helping here." Anakin sighed. " Alright.. alright. I agree, bad idea. If you would just move to the right.." "Hold on, Anakin. You're going to get us both killed! Get out of here, there's nothing more you can do." Killed?... Even star burn out. How could Obi-Wan say such a thing? As if he would actually abandon his friend. " I'm not leaving without out you, Master." Anakin swung his ship to the right, using his wing to try and scrape off the remaning droid. Obi-Wan seemed to think this was a bad idea also. "Blast... I can't see a thing. My controls are gone.." Now Obi-Wan was in trouble. His ship slowly began to spin out of control, shooting for the surface of Couruscant. What could Anakin do, but follow? He sped of in the direction of his friend's starfighter. And then black surrounded him. ``````` Ahead, there was a faint light. It resembled a moon, but the craters were unusually large. Anakin knew it had to be something else. It was as though his ship was being pulled in. But, by what? "Obi-Wan?" He spotted his friend up ahead, seemingly drifting towards the object, which was increasing in size with every moment. "That's no moon." The Jedi Master's eyes widened, shaking his head in disbelief. "Anakin, turn your ship around." His voice sounded urgent, and Anakin tried to get his small starfighter away. "I can't, it's dragging me in. There's nothing I can do." "It's a tractor beam..." ``````` "When I left you, I was but the learner; now I am the master." Ben Kenobi shook his head sadly. "Only a master of evil, Darth." The two great Galactic warriors stay perfectly still for a few moments. Ben blinks, trying to clear the tears that blurr his vision. He seems to be under increasing pressure and strain, as though something were holding him down. Like there was an extra weight on his shoulders that Vader did not have. Suddenly, he lunges at the large cloaked form, only to be checked by a lightning move of the SIth. A masterful slash is blocked by the old Jedi Master. They continue to duel as Ben moves around his old apprentice, backing into the massive starship hangar. They lock sabres in mid-air, creating a low buzzing noise. "Your powers are weak....old man." Ben had to smirk at this, and he thought he sensed a slight teasing in his old friend's deep voice. "You can't win, Darth." He spoke the truth. " If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine." He lunges at Vader, once more. ``````` Han Solo and Chewbacca, their blasters in hand, lean back against the wall studying the Imperial stormtroopers as they make their rounds of the hangar. "Didn't we just leave this party?" Han asks his friend, just as Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa join them. Chewbacca growls his reply. "What kept you?" Han asked, Leia smiled, "We ran into some old...." Her gaze drifted towards the landing platform, as two old-looking ships made rather rough landings. "Friends..." "Those aren't Imperial fighters." Luke narrowed his eyelids. "I have a strange feeling about this.." He watched as two Jedi jumped out of their starfighters, ignited their crystal blue blades, striking down every trooper in their path. Leia did the exact oppisite. Her eyes widened as she stared at the younger man. He was so..handsome, but who was he? "Hey, look." Han nudged the Princess. " More Force hermits." He grinned, recieving an elbow in the stomach from Leia, who was still staring at the mystery Jedi. ``````` -----signature----- Oh my sweet holy darkside!
