Title:
A Quiet Afternoon
Author: Jedikma
Timeframe: AU, approximately 6 years post RotS
Characters: Obi-Wan and Siri
Genre: Romance (One-post story)
Summary: Obi-Wan and Siri enjoy each other's company in more ways than one.
A/N: This story is an extension to my story
A New Order
in which the two end up getting married. This is part of their honeymoon. (You don't have to read the other to follow this.) I actually have been toying with the idea of writing a sequel to
A New Order
, but I'm not sure if DRL will let me.
A/N 2: There is a higher rated version to this story and if you would like to read it pm me stating you are over the age of 18.
Disclaimer: Nothing belongs to me.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
A Quiet Afternoon
They trekked up the hillsides and through the wild growing grasses. It was a perfect day: Warm sun, cool breeze and the scent of wild flowers filled the air. It was a rare thing to spend a day alone together, doing nothing but enjoying one another's company.
Reaching the top of a hill, Obi-Wan paused. "Here would be a good resting place. What do you think?"
Pulling up beside him, Siri drew in a breath of awe. "It's perfect. An absolutely glorious view!"
Obi-Wan lowered his backpack to the ground and sat down beside it, legs crossed. Siri slipped off her pack, as well, and sat beside her husband. She could feel Obi-Wan begin to gather the Force around him and draw upon the natural peace and beauty of the landscape. He liked to meditate in such places and she knew to allow him his space.
So this was Naboo. Siri had never been to this planet before and she was here now due to the hospitality of Padme Amidala Skywalker and her husband Anakin. As a wedding present, Padme and Anakin had given Obi-Wan and Siri the gift of staying in the Naberrie lakeside retreat, but they had not come alone. The Council had insisted they bring their three children with them and learn to interact as a family unit.
"I think this is the Council's subtle way of punishing us for having the children before getting married," she complained to Obi-Wan while they were packing for their journey.
Obi-Wan only laughed at her. "Perhaps, but we could always refuse and stay right here. Go on with business as usual. Although, I suspect the Council would still find a way for us to spend time with our offspring so that we can get an idea for ways to define what it means to be a Jedi family. At least this way we will have servants to help us at Padme's retreat home."
When they finally arrived at their destination they were thankful to be greeted by an older couple, Gemma and Kale, who were in charge of the small staff of servants. The servants seemed delighted to see the Jedi and warmly welcomed them and their children, Garen, Reeft and infant Bant to the retreat. After more than a day of spending time as a family, the older couple approached Obi-Wan and Siri and assured them that they could care for the younglings if the newlyweds wanted to take a day for themselves. They hesitated at first, but the thought of a hike around the countryside appealed to them and they took Gemma and Kale up on their offer.
As Obi-Wan closed his eyes to soak in the atmosphere, Siri looked to the view in front of her. They were up on the ledge of a high cliff looking out over numerous waterfalls that dominated the area. There was so much water splashing and rising that even from the distance where they sat there was a fine mist in the air.
Though Obi-Wan was steeped in the Force, Siri was aware that his shields were completely open to her. It was his way of inviting her to join him in meditation, but he also knew that she had a restless streak and didn't always want to surround herself with the same deep concentration he indulged in. She, instead, would allow her thoughts and eyes to wander more freely, but she would often gently brush against his Force aura as he would often brush against hers even from deep meditation.
Siri pulled her legs up and wrapped her arms around them, resting her chin on her knees. There was no hurry, they had all day to roam and play. Their only criteria for the afternoon was that they wouldn't worry about anything, not work, not kids, not even what they would do next.
When Obi-Wan once again opened his eyes Siri turned to him. "You were thinking of Qui-Gon."
He nodded. "Yes, I couldn't help but remember him. I can feel him here, still."
"Do you think he would be happy for you? For us?"
"I think he would. I think he would be happy that the Council is finally making some much needed changes, though I'm not sure he would be in favor of all of the ones we've implemented so far."
Siri let out a heavy sigh. "The debating is never ending."
Obi-Wan turned in her direction. "You were thinking about the servants with the children."
"Not really-"
"Siri?" His tone was part query, part admonishment.
"Okay," she relented. "I was just thinking how odd it was the way Gemma looked at and took to Bant. It was almost as if she were looking at her own child."
"Ah," Obi-Wan replied. "Maybe she just likes babies. Padme told us she's been with the Naberries since before Sola was born and helped raise them both. In any case, the children seem to really enjoy her."
"I know, Obi-Wan. She is good with the kids." Siri shook her head as if to dispel the thought. "I just couldn't help but notice, that's all."
Obi-Wan rose to his feet and Siri followed. "I have an idea," he announced. "There is a private lagoon close by that Anakin told me about. We can eat there and go for a swim."
Siri looked him in the eye and raised an eyebrow. "You didn't mention a swim, I didn't bring any swimming clothes."
His lips curled up in a mischievous grin. "We won't need swimming clothes, it's that private." He picked up his backpack and patted it before slinging it onto his back. "I did bring a couple of towels."
~*~*~*~
The private lagoon was beautiful with a soft sandy beach, green grasses and a flowing waterfall - a perfect place for two Jedi to play. Once they had enjoyed some food, they both completely disrobed and jumped into the refreshing spring.
They swam and played as the warm sun danced off the water and a soft breeze drifted over them. Obi-Wan tried to talk Siri in joining him in a dive off the top of the waterfall, but she declined and instead watched him, standing above, in all his glory as he made a graceful dive into the water. He cheated and used the Force as his guide.
She teased him and he chased after her. He teased her and she chased after him. Eventually, their play took a different turn.
Obi-Wan stood before her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her to him, the water rippling about their waists as she threaded her arms under his and around him. He placed his hands on the curve of her backside, he didn't rub her skin or squeeze her, his hands just rested there, waiting, warmth radiating into her bare skin. He brought his face to hers, nuzzling her nose with his and carefully brushing his wet beard against her cheek. It was his way of asking her permission to get closer.
Her heart always skipped a beat in anticipation. Feeling his warm breath on her skin, she whispered, "I suppose we still haven't had the chance to consummate this marriage."
"No, we haven't," he whispered back, pulling her just a little closer and placing a petal soft kiss below her ear.
She flinched slightly and he pulled back, meeting her gaze. "Sorry," she said uneasily. "I'm just wondering if maybe we should head back to the house now. I'm sure Bant is getting hungry."
"We still have time before the evening meal. Besides, you left milk, didn't you?" His blue gray eyes searched hers, concerned.
"I did, Obi-Wan, it's just that I'm feeling full and...well...a bit uncomfortable."
His eyes drifted downward and a crooked grin crossed his face. "Yes, I see that they are quite full, quite firm."
She gave him a playful pat on his rump with her hand. "I'm sure you're chagrined that they aren't for you."
Leaning forward he brushed his lips against her neck. "Ah, but you're mistaken. For right now they are for me." She could sense his growing excitement through their bond. "I'll be gentle," he whispered.
It wasn't a question of his gentleness, she knew. Obi-Wan was a sensitive lover, careful to detail. In fact, for all the years she teased him about his attention to the smallest points during missions, she found his meticulousness a joy during intimacy. He held her close, cheek to cheek, swaying softly, waiting for her to respond.
"Obi-Wan, I know this is silly, but I don't know about doing this right here."
He chuckled. "Is that what's on your mind? Siri, it is very private here. We've been here for over an hour and haven't been disturbed yet. If you stretch out with your feelings, you can sense there isn't another being anywhere around."
"I told you it was silly, but I just don't want to worry about someone showing up at just the wrong moment, either," she said, frowning.
"I have an idea," he said, pulling away from her but taking her by the hand. "I think I know how we can solve this." He urged her to follow him, swimming toward the waterfall until he skirted around and behind it. There they could find privacy and shielding from the outside world.
A large smile spread across Siri's face as she took in her surroundings. "It's lovely back here," she said, moving closer to Obi-Wan. He tugged gently at her hand and she stood up facing him. Again he pulled her to him, encircling her with his arms.
They stood in ankle deep water between a smooth rock wall and a cascade of liquid arching above them. Water misted around them as it hit the lagoon in a constant dull roar. "Could you be comfortable with me back here?" Obi-Wan asked. "If by some off chance, someone did come along, I think we could pull ourselves together before they found us."
Siri hugged him and nuzzled her face close to his. "I think this will be fine, Obi-Wan."
Siri found comfort that the place was well hidden and she relaxed. Together the two of them let go, allowing themselves to indulge in the love they had for one another. Here they could be even freer than they were at home in the Temple, where they were always careful to keep their lovemaking quiet. The rush of the waterfall would mask any noise they might make, and they could allow their passion to be expressed openly. The constantly misting water, as it hit the lagoon, was a welcome coolant on their skin.
Reaching the natural conclusion to their intimacy, they clung to each other, breathless. "What, in all the galaxies, was that?" Siri queried.
A silly grin spread across Obi-Wan's face. "Teamwork."
Siri gave him a playful push and as he stepped backwards, he grabbed her hand and pulled her along as he tumbled into the flowing wall of water. It hit them both with a slap as they fell to the other side, splashing into the lagoon. They both let out a screech before they went under the surface.
Emerging from the water, still laughing, Obi-Wan tossed his head throwing off the excess liquid. Siri sprang up and pushed the water from her face with her hands. Stretching his body out to float on the surface of the pool, he reached for Siri as she lay alongside him, placing her head on his chest. Her eyes took in the view of his masculine features. "You are very happy with yourself, aren't you?" she teased as she caressed his waistline.
He gave her a little squeeze. "I'm just very content."
Siri let out a long sigh. "I don't think I'm going to make that hike back to the house. You've totally exhausted me."
She could feel his chest rise and fall as he chuckled. "You'll sleep well tonight. That's good, you need a good night's sleep."

Loved that, and I always love silly grins. This a lovely story. I could picture the scene perfectly. Three kids, huh?
Beautiful job.

Look at me reading Siri and Obi-Wan, kma! I really can enjoy these happy AU's--nice of you to throw in happy Anakin as well!
Obi-Wan was so patient and sweet here, and I love how Siri hesitated. I thought that was realistic for them as a couple.
Very nice, and I needed something positive!

Thanks!!!
You know how much I love these two.

Thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed it.
VA_Parky
Thanks!!!
I agree, it is the way it should have been. Thank goodness for fan fic.
Darth_Walters
Sorry you didn't like the story, but I put in the intro that it was AU which means alternate universe and that it was romance. If you don't think
Star Wars
and passion don't mix, you don't need to read it. In any case, this is fan fic and we are all free to write what we want.
KELIA
Thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed the story.
Jaira
Hi there !!! Thanks for the defense.
I mean really what good is fan fic if you can't find the romance you're wishing was in canon?

Thanks!!!
I really needed to write a happy little story with my two favorite characters.

So glad you enjoyed the story. Maybe I'll convert you yet.
I'm very much a sucker for happy.
