Summary:Anakin's first days as a padawan
Disclaimer: All things belong to the great George Lucas.
Notes:This is my first story, so don't expect too much.
"Anakin, time to get up" The newly minted Knight yelled.
All he got in response was a low groan.
"ANAKIN"
"I wanna sleep some more" Ani replied crossly.
"Too bad"!
Obi-Wan's patience was wearing thin. Walking into the room he picked Anakin up and dropped him on the floor.
HEY, WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR??????
"We have to get started with your training".
"So early"? Anakin groaned
"Yes, meditation is done early in the morning".
"That sounds boring", Anakin stated. "Can I skip it"?
"No". "Meditation is very important for a Jedi".
"Why", Anakin asked curiously.
"Because it is a good time to really connect with the force".
"Oh". Anakin still looked confused.
"You will understand in time", Obi-Wan said softly.
Obi-Wan then strode into the kitchen to get some tea.
Anakin walked in after him.
"You want some", Obi-Wan asked.
"Sure", Anakin replied Cheerily.
Obi-Wan handed him a cup. Anakin took a huge gulp and promptly spit it out again, spewing it all over the table.
"ANAKIN", Obi-Wan cried in horror.
"IT'S HOT", Anakin yelled.
Obi-Wan sighed and went to get a towel.
"Wait for a second before you take a drink next time", Obi-Wan told him as he cleaned it up.
"Alrighty", Anakin replied.
Obi-Wan sat back down to finish his tea. as he did so he reached up to toy with his now missing padawan braid, sighing when he felt it's absence.
For some reason, he still felt like an apprentice. Maybe, He thought to himself, It's just because Qui-Gon was not their for my
knighting. The thought brought tears to his eyes, but upon seeing his padawan's curious gaze, quickly masked his emotions. He had to be
strong for Anakin.
Anakin hopped off of his chair. "I'm going to get dressed", He stated.
"Get a shower", Obi-Wan told him.
"But I took one just three days ago", He protested.
"That is exactly why I told you to take one".
"But that isn't that wasting water"? Anakin looked worried.
Obi-Wan chuckled.
"No Anakin, This is Coruscant, We have plenty of water".
"Enough to take a shower every day", Anakin asked hopefully.
"Yep, Twice a day if you would like".
"WIZARD"! Anakin, who was very pleased, ran out of the room.
Obi-Wan chuckled as he watched him dart out.
He could not imagine not taking a shower every day. Good hygene was very important to him, and always had been.
Speaking of which, he thought to himself, I'd better go get my own shower.
10 minutes later he emerged, cleaned up and dressed in a fresh tunic.
Anakin came in a few minutes later, looking uncomfortable.
"What's the matter, Obi-Wan asked."
"This tunic is all stiff," He muttered.
Obi-Wan Chuckled. "Is that all?"
Anakin nodded.
"You will get used to it", He told Anakin.
Anakin nodded, and the chipper look returned to his face. "Can we go now", he asked eagerly.
"Control your impatience and let it go", Obi-Wan said automaticly.
"Why?" Anakin looked confused again.
"Impatience is not an emotion that a Jedi is supposed to have", he informed the boy.
"Whatever", Anakin replied, rolling his eyes.
Obi-Wan gave an exasperated sigh, and said "Alright, let's go"

Chapter two
Anakin ran down the hall nearly running into Jedi Master Mundi, earning Obi-Wan a very annoyed glance.
"Anakin stop running!" Obi-Wan’s cheeks flushed red from embarrassment as he received more disapproving looks from various Jedi that were almost plowed into. One of such Jedi was Master Dooku.
“Master Kenobi!” Dooku’s disapproving voice rang out as he sidestepped to avoid being knocked down.
“I apologize Master Dooku; Anakin is a bit feisty today”, Obi-Wan told him sheepishly.
“I’ll get him under control”
See to it that you do, Dooku replied with a sniff of disapproval. Disapproval changed to interest though, as he gazed at the Anakin. “So this is the Skywalker boy?”
“Yes, this is Anakin”, Obi-Wan replied, trying to ignore the gaze of great interest that Dooku was giving the boy.
“Master Obi-Wan sir, can we go now?” Anakin’s chipper voice earned more annoyed glances from the Jedi around them.
Yes, Anakin, But first you need to calm down.
“Alright”, Anakin all but yelled as he fell into step beside Obi-Wan.
Obi-Wan winced, and clamped a hand over Anakin’s mouth. “Hush Anakin!”
Anakin nodded and batted Obi-Wan’s hand away.
“This is the Meditation Room”, He told the boy quietly as he guided him to an empty area where Anakin would not cause any issues for the Jedi around them.
He then attempted to explain to the boy what to do. After explaining the basic technique, He sat down and gestured for Anakin to do the same.
Anakin sat for a second, but quickly lost interest.
“This is boring”, he informed his master.
Obi-Wan sighed. “Anakin, this is something that all Jedi must learn, regardless of whether they like it or not.
Anakin nodded and sat back down. They stayed for a few minutes but Obi-Wan sensed Anakin’s impatience and decided not to push it.
Alright Anakin What do you think about meeting a couple of my friends?

I don't think I could be that nice to him. 
You have their relationship very good. They sound like two brothers. The oldest one giving orders and the younger one ignoring them

CHAP 1:
1. Anakin’s curiosity is adorable!
2. Loved the part about Ani thinking of waisting water!
3. He’s already rebellious… lol! Lovin’ it!
CHAP 2:
1. So typical for Obi-Wan to be all embarrassed in front of the council and try to be Mr. Perfect.
2. Haha! Ani not liking meditation is so believable. I bet he’d be a lot more eager if Obi-Wan offered to train with lightsabers.
3. Well at least Obi-Wan’s trying to be nice (and doing ok so far)… for now anyways…
4. Oh boy I have a feeling that Anakin will wreck havoc yet!

 Ahh, kids...adorable, but not always compliant. Poor Obi, he doesn't exactly know how to deal with Ani. Good idea with meeting friends, though. So new to the temple, I don't know if I'd be able to calm enough to meditate, either...

Chapter Three
Anakin once again ran ahead, but fortunately most Jedi were in meditation, so he was saved the embarrassment of the morning.
Obi-Wan had decided to visit Garen first, because he knew that Garen would not be meditating. Garen had a personality similar to Anakin
When they arrived Obi-Wan knocked on the door, but received no answer.
“He is probably with the starfighters”, he told Anakin.
“COOL! You guys have STARFIGHTERS!”
“Yep, a hanger full of them.”
“AWESOME!”
“Let’s go”, Obi-Wan said, pointing out the general direction of the hanger. Anakin took off in that direction at top speed.
Obi-Wan sighed as he made an effort to keep Anakin in sight, without actually running through the halls.
When they reached the hanger, Anakin stopped and fidgeted impatiently as he waited for Obi-Wan to catch up.
Obi-Wan caught up with him and pushed open the door to reveal a bunch of sleek Starfighters.
‘Whoa! This is great!” Anakin seemed very pleased.
Obi-Wan smiled as he glanced around the hanger, in search of Garen. He spotted him after a moment, working on the engine of a starfighter.
Obi-Wan crept up behind him, and said loudly, “Hello there!”
Garen swung around in surprise, and grinned when he saw Obi-Wan, Then his expression turned to sorrow as he seemed to remember recent events
“Obi-Wan I’m really sorry about--”
Obi-Wan shook his head and mouthed “We’ll talk later”
Garen nodded, then turned to look at Anakin who had just scurried up.
“Anakin, this is Garen, Garen this is Anakin.”
Garen smiled at Anakin, “Hey kid, what’s up?”
“You work on Starfighters! That is SO wizard.”
Garen Chuckled as he replied “Yep, almost every day”
“So you are a friend of Obi-Wan?”
“Yep, since we were kids.”
“Oh, I didn’t think Obi-Wan had any friends”.
“Why not kid?”
“Because he is so serious, I figured that nobody liked him” Anakin replied
Garen struggled to hold back laughter at Obi-Wan’s expression as he said, “Well some of us have learned to put up with it, and he is not as serious as he might seem, hey Obi-Wan remember that time when-“
“Okay never mind” Obi-Wan said hastily before Garen could relay any of their childhood experiences.
“Well, I’m going to take Anakin to meet Bant now. do you know where she is?”
“Probably in the Healer’s Ward.”
“The Healer’s Ward?” Obi-Wan frowned as he tried to remember why she would be in the Healer’s Ward. “Is she hurt?”
“No, she’s training to be a Healer, remember?”
“Oh, right, well let’s go Anakin.”
“It was nice to meet you kid. And any time your master wants to get rid of you for a while, I’ll show you around the hanger, Okay?”
“WIZARD!”
“Don’t worry Anakin that will be soon”
They then headed off toward the Healer’s Ward, Anakin dancing out in front.
When they arrived, Obi-Wan asked the front desk about Bant, and they pointed at a room.
Obi-Wan pushed the door open and saw Bant tucking a small child into a bed.
He waited patiently until she was done, then tapped her on the back.
“Obi, you’re back”, She cried as she threw her arms around his neck in a tight hug. As she pulled back starting to say something, He mouthed “We’ll talk later”
Bant nodded and turned to Anakin. “Are you Anakin?”
He nodded. “Are you Obi-Wan’s girlfriend?”
Obi-Wan’s expression turned to horror, and Bant bust out laughing.
When she was finally able to speak she gasped out “Definitely not!”
Obi-Wan quickly stepped in a told Anakin “Attachment is forbidden for Jedi Anakin.”
“Oh, okay”
Bant who had just managed to quit laughing, added “And even if attachment was not forbidden, I wouldn’t be his girlfriend”
“Same here”, Obi-Wan replied. “Well, we had better get going”, he added “I think it’s time for Anakin’s first lightsaber practice”
“Really!” Anakin grinned “That’s SO awesome”
“Well let’s go then. I’ll see you later Bant” Then they headed out the door
Next Chapter: Anakin’s first Lightsaber Practice

Chapter 4
Very short, I did not have time for more.
Anakin stared in awe at the rack of training sabers in front of him. Reaching forward with a tentative hand, he took one that was about the right size for him.
“This is SO wizard”, Anakin said for the twentieth time that day.
Obi-Wan gave him a brief smile. “Yep, now let’s get started.”
Anakin lifted the saber and turned it on, then began waving it around clumsily. “It’s heavier than I thought it would be”, He admitted after a moment.
“You will get used to it with time and practice”, Obi-Wan replied with a brief smile.
“Now, shall we get started?”
Anakin grinned. “Okay!”
Obi-Wan began helping him through a basic Kata. Anakin mastered it fairly quickly, needing only a few corrections. Obi-Wan decided that he did well enough to try a second one.
Anakin watched as his Master demonstrated a second Kata.
“Can I try it now”, Anakin asked eagerly.
“Sure”, Obi-Wan replied with a smile.
Anakin brought his saber down and back up again—Right into Obi-Wan’s nose.
“YOW!!!!” Obi-Wan stumbled backward clutching his face.
“MASTER”, Anakin looked horrified and fascinated at the same time.
“I’m alright”, Obi-Wan mumbled. “Just be glad that it was a training saber”, He added with a grin.
Anakin returned it nervously. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
Obi-Wan smiled. “I’m fine Anakin, just a bit of a burn. What do say we go get some food?”
Anakin’s face lit up. “Okay let’s go!”

That part made me giggle. I like the reference to RotS and ANH with that line. One of my fav Obi lines.
