Bravo! Jade_Max, I do believe you've converted me to Anakin/Barriss.  I love A/P, but this pairing is so interesting! It's fun to watch the differences and similarities between the two, both in the case of the pairings and the story and the movie. Outstanding!
I love how Barriss has been an almost stabling influence on Anakin. He's still got that Skywalker recklessness, but he's fast learning some lessons that he didn't learn in canon until it was far too late. And Barriss is such an entertaining character too! Love how she's drawn closer and closer to Anakin, even as she keeps reminding herself of the rules about Jedi and attachments. *g* But she's right, it's too late.
I really can't wait to see how this turns out. Could you add me to your PM list, please? I'd love to read more of this when you post. Thanks!

Jade_Max, I'm enjoying this AU very much!  Unlike others, I was never that attached to the Anakin/Padme relationship in the first place, because of how badly it was presented in AOTC. I'm longing to see what you're going to come up with next.

This chapter made my little Anakin/Barriss shipper heart GLOW.
I just love how you write Anakin! He has an inherent compassion that is so endearing, and also the maturity to realize that he might have made a mistake. He recognizes his power as being different and more powerful than hers but he isn’t arrogant about it.
(If she doesn't want him, can I have him?  )
He played with her fingers, gently rubbing the backs against his chin. "I miss you, Barriss. I miss you a lot. I miss your smile and your laugh. The easy way you can balance work and play. I miss hearing you scold me for overusing the Force even! I can't bear the thought that you might not wake up. It'd be like... like losing Padmé all over again only this time there won't be anyone here to catch me. You'll be gone and I'll be alone. I don't want to be alone, Barriss; I don't want to be here without you."
