That was greatly action packed. I liked the lessons and insight that Barriss got from the experience with fighting Dooku, seeing how it effected Anakin and from also losing her Master.

In time, she too would find peace.
Her death was very emotional and the descriptions about find peace was beautiful.
I love how it ended with Barriss becoming a Knight and telling Anakin to wait to see if those feelings are still there in the future instead of the 2 Padawans walking off in the Coruscant sunset.
I love the idea of a sequel and if you are taking names to start a PM list already for it, please add me

I apologize for this very, very, very belated response. 
This was a fantastic story, J_M! You took what I would have pegged as a “crack ship” and you made it plausible and, even more importantly, you made us care about the characters and the relationship in this setting. Brava! 
Of course, my little Anakin/Barriss shipper heart wants a sequel  …I shall try to be patient. 
Thank you for this amazing ride!

EverydayAngel – Thanks I had a lot of fun with this story and the ending, for me, had to be as climactic as the rest of it – and just as emotional. That you enjoyed it
I love how it ended with Barriss becoming a Knight and telling Anakin to wait to see if those feelings are still there in the future instead of the 2 Padawans walking off in the Coruscant sunset.
My muse refused to do the “two Padawans” thing – I contemplated it, but it really didn’t fit the story once I’d finished it – or Barriss’ character. So the ending was left wide open – and now the sequel is in the planning stages *laughs* it’s been interesting to say the least.
I’ll be sure to let you know when I start the sequel.

Sequel Update: Two vignettes are in the works that will take place between this story and the next “epic”. One will be the discussion between Obi-Wan and Anakin about the relationship between Obi/Lumi and Ani/Barriss; the other will be an A/B regarding Anakin’s knighting.
Yes, they’re planned, and yes they’re already being written. Just a matter of time now.

Brilliant. Luminara's death was unexpected, but so very believable. And now Bariss and Anakin have even more obstacles in the way of their relationship.
I wonder what impact Bariss' knighting will have on the rest of the saga?
