	Title:My End Author:Jedi_Master_Mouf(aka Patrick) Summery: A jedi who survived the intial part of the purge meets his end at the hands of Darth vader. just another of the nameless faceless jedi who fell to vader's hand. Disclaimer: all belongs to HIs flannelshirtness George Lucas I'm just playing in his sandbox. if this is well liked I would do a series of short vigs on jedi as they fall and there feelings leading up to there death. this is unbetaed and I'm terrible with grammer so go easy on me there. My End This is my end. I have fought so many years, all through the clone wars. I carried the banner of the repulic before me, only to have that banner carried against me. I fought, I shed blood, for a republic that now fights me, now sheds more of my blood. In the end I am alone, so many of my fellow jedi have fallen to Him. He was my friend, my brother in arms. this is the betrayal that stings the most. Not the goverment that I never trusted turning on me. Not the clone troopers turning on me, but my friend, my brother turning his lightsaber against me. He used to be so full of light, now he is so full of darkness. My friend where have you gone? I know I am dead, as dead as the clone troopers bodies littered around me, but still breathing. Just like my former brother in arms. The dark grows ever closer. My former friends tainted force signature drawing ever nearer. I am strangly detached, I am more concerned in taking in this beautiful planet on which I find myself. This is a truly wonderous planet, nature is strong here. The force sings in its beauty. Green grass, with white flowers scattered about here and there. They only bloom once a year, and the clones lay dead around me. so many of the beautiful blossoms crushed by there boots, by there bodies. There are none stained with blood, thankfully, my lightsaber cauterized their wounds. The dark draws ever closer. The dark draws ever nearer. This world is covered in green. Filled with deep forests and tall tree's. I love it here. This is my end, but this is not a bad place to die. The dark draws ever closer. The Dark draws ever nearer. He is close now, but I still am distracted by the beauty around me. Then I hear the breathing a deep loud in and out steady, mechanical. Shortly followed by His tall black form coming up the hill towards me. The dark draws ever closer. The dark draws ever nearer Should I even fight? Do I have the strength left. Is there any reason to fight. WIthout thinking I pick up my lightsaber. I look at it wondering if I should even bother fighting, what reason is there? I can think of no reason. He is here now. He stands before me. Tall covered in Black Armor, Darth Vader. I can hardly bring myself to call him that. He is on top of the hill. Standing tall Hands cupped behind his back. Still I struggle to find a reason to fight. "This is your end." Vaders bass voice rumbloing I can find no anwser for him. I know he's right. "What? no preaching about the light, no attempts to draw me back?" A sound like a laugh escapes form His dark helmet. Still I find no anwser. No reason to fight. This is my end. Vader stalks towards me menacing. I have no fear. The force is with me. it seems to whisper in my ear fight. Why? Why oh sweet force would I do that? Vaders slowly pulls is his lightsaber from his belt. His lightsaber hilt is similar in design to his last one, but darker in color, fitting, a tainted saber for a tainted soul. Still I find no reason to fight. Even as I hear the all to familar Snap-Hiss of a lightsaber igniting. He draws his saber back to swing at me, even as I sit defenseless in a meditative position. Time slows down, I see in incredible detail and clarity his saber draw closer ever so slowly. I take a deep breathe, let it out slowly preparing for my death. His lightsaber is now inches from my face. Suddenly the foce makes me understand. I don't have to have a reason to fight evil, other then that it is evil. Even if the fight is hopeless I am a jedi. A champion of light, it is my destiny to fight the dark, even at the cost of my own life. I throw myself opposite the direction his Lightsaber turning it into a roll. Ending in defensive crouch. Another Snap-hiss sounds as my familar emerald blade shines to life. Matching the green all around me. My force signature shines light, like one of the blossoms around me. So many have been crushed like so many jedi's light force signatures. Mine will not be the last. I run at vader saber held high over my right shoulder. As though I will strike down but at the last second I reverse and swing up. Vader blocks easily. and counters with ahorizontal strike I get my saber there just in time, and bearly hold it there. His strength is incredible, born of metal limbs. I know I cannot hold my own for long. Unless, I side step his downward strike and duck underneath the horizontal follow up, then I kick upward and he sidesteps, I can feel his arrogance in the force, about how easy this is. good for me because he won't see this coming, before my foots even touched the ground I throw the other one around spinning my body in the air so my other foot hits his life saber hilt, knocking it from his hand. Or so I thought. it seems machanical limbs don't let go as easy as flesh ones. "It is ineveitble, you will fall to my blade. I leap back out of range. He comes at me, again time seems to slow as his blow comes at me vertically. I side step and whip my blade up and sever his hand. His head slowly turns toward me, We both freeze. "You should not have done that." was the only warning he gave, before he exploded into motion. before I knew what had happened he had grabbed the hilt of my lightsaber hilt and crushed it. while his stubb flew into my face breaking my nose. He released my lightsaberhilt and his only remaining fist flew at my stomach and flew through it. My eyes widen in pain, as I fall back. "You have fallen, Jedi." He calls his lightsaber to his hand with the force places it on his belt and walks away. Just like that. Time slows, my life slowly leaking out of me. Blood staining white blossoms. Ironic. This is my end, but it is not a bad way to die. fighting for the light, however hopeless it may have been. 	New post guys. Summery: the jedi whose tomb Luke finds in THe courtship of princess leias final moments. Enjoys guys and please leave me some constructive critism. The Cave I am a jedi master. For all I know the last. I was there at the temple that horrible day. How I escaped I don't know. I wanted to fight, but the force called me away, with the a copy of certain records. I grabbed them at random letting the force guide my hands to the right one. I fled the Temple in the guise of a clone trooper. several years later. This world is cold, and devoid of any beauty, my snow suit doesn't keep me warm. I've have spent many years here. Hidden in a cave no one even knows I'm here. Or so I had hoped, but even now I feel darkness decending. it can only be him. He found me, all these records I took, all for nothing. All this time I thought the force was with me, but it has forsaken me. Most of these records are useless. completly useless. There are some interesting ones from Master Yoda's earlier life, but nothing of any real value. "Why did your forsake me force? Where are you now? Why did you allow me to leave the temple alive only to have me slain now?" I scream in utter dispare. The force has forsaken me. I am bereft of hope. My end is at hand. At the hands of a former student. I used to teach Jedi History at the temple. Anakin wasn't the best of students. He never understood that the mistakes of the past would be made if he didn't learn them. Perhaps that is how he became Darth Vader. He didn't learn from the tales of the Lords of the Sith past. But then perhaps he is right. Perhaps if the force has forsaken me, perhaps it has forsaken the light for darkness. The dark is strong, the dark is deep. I find myself drawn to it. Perhaps with it I can survive. Even as this thought enters my mind my heart rebels against it, but the dark whispers to me, more so now that I resisted its intial efforts. The dark is strong, the dark is deep. After all the light has forsaken me, why whouldn't I forsake it. An eye for an eye. The dark is strong, the dark is deep. I wish this was not so. It is seducing me. This it it Vader is almost here. I will fight dark with dark. A slow even hiss starts sounding, Darth Vader has arrived. My heart is affire with the dark I am ready. I jump to my feet. and ignite my lightsaber. I can feel Vader smirk under the mask. "Had darkness consumed you old man?" He asks the bass booming sadistically. I grin darkly at him, and reach for the dark, but relization of what I'm doing strikes. I am a historian I should know how this works. Dark is dark, even when it fights itself there is no good to come of it. Darth Vader is experinced in the dark arts, I am not. I will die, should I forever taint my soul in my final moments? Have I survived all these years in the light to forsake it at the end? Even if it has forsaken me I will not forsake it, I am a champion of the light. "Another change of heart, old man?" Vader asks "Flip flop all you like I, either way your dead, old man." His lightsaber flies at me blade igniting in the air, I side step, just bearly in time. I stand no chance, but I will fight. I am a champion of the light. "I do not fear you darth, I am a champion of the light." I charge Vader with these words. I leap high Saber over my head ready to strike, only to have his lightsaber rip through me from behind. "Then die champion" Vader Spits and walks away. I lay here dying slowly. Vader leaves. "Have you truly forsaken me force?" It is only now that I feel the light return cradling me in its warm embrace. Whispering words of love to me, and of one more task. Then come the storm troopers thrwoing EMP grenades destroying my records. I gather my strength for my final task, to protect one disc from there grenades. I wrap it in a force shield. I protect it. This is my dying act. Before I allow myself to be swallowed into the force. I feel my body fade.
