Obi-Wan considering this a moment, before speaking again. "Then tell him that I asked for both of you to be careful. It is the truth, from a certain point of view."
"In other words, it's not a lie." Padme said dryly, earning a slightly mischievous smile in response.
"Exactly, milady."
"Don't 'milady' me." Padme said, shaking her head in amusement before sighing softly, and looking back at him. "Alright, I agree to your 'certain point of view', on one condition."
"Which would be...?" Obi-Wan asked, becoming serious again as well.
"Don't get yourself killed." Padme said flatly. "I mean it."
"Don't worry, milady." Obi-Wan told her. "I don't intend on it."
Don't just INTEND - DO! Survive.
Hmm, Ventress got distracted - was she listening in? Heard Dooku? Is she jealous that Obi-Wan had a - gasp - "a woman!" in his room?!
Won't hound you for updates, but do love to see them. Best of luck with the job and moving.

Very nice chapter - I really love this story!
"That, and Qui-Gon told me you tended to get yourself into trouble." Dooku added, this time earning a glance back from the Jedi.
"Oh, did he?" Obi-Wan asked lightly, tone almost amused.
"Yes; not that he was a particularly well-behaved Padawan all the time himself." Dooku responded. "It wasn't as though he actively attempted to cause problems, but he seemed to attract them, as you do."
"A trait that you and Anakin share in abundance as well." Obi-Wan commented, the console beeping happily at him as he began compiling the code.
"Indeed." Dooku agreed.
Dooku and Obi-Wan together are just great!

I finally found the time to read this!!
all my favorite elements are still present!
how lovely!!!!
The bantering is still my favorite thins and I loved the
rewiring of the comm and the conversation it sparked!
Bored initiates are dangerous then, and a bored Obi-wan
more so!
my favorite line was: Getting to stalk around importantly was quickly becoming the best part of pretending to be a Sith.
His lines of though are great! Hopefully Padme will be able
to keep and eye on Ani, I loved how Obi knew what went on between them
as Ani's master he would have to have been very thick not to realize this!

Loved that about who better to foil a Sith's plan than a Sith. 
Great update indeed! Glad Obi and Dooku somewhat got on an even ground there Perhaps they can truly work together now.

Oh, I have the vague feeling Obi-wan is quite out of his league and over his head. But it worries me that he is so comfortable around Dooku, and is so easily sent into episodes of moodiness which seems so uncharacteristic of himself.
I am extremly happy that I found this story and decided to read it! I've just caught up, and I've got to say that I love it! Wonderful job. I can't wait to read more! PM list please. Thanks.

So... Status report! Since it's been, what, two months since I updated? 
I do have part of the chapter written, though it's only about a third of what's going to be a short chapter anyway. Yes, I know, not great.  But I'm working on it! I hope to have the chapter done in another week, two at the most. I hope.
Thanks for sticking with this fic even with the delays, everyone. You're awesome.
