I've seen this one off and on, but never had a chance to get into it. Well, I'm changing that, but it'll take me a bit to catch up. Just the frist couple chapters have me hooked, and I love the premise! I'll reply again when I finish reading, but I wanted to ask to be included on the PM list, and if you could send me that special PM post I noticed mention of. I'd greatly appreciate it!

´This is a brilliant story!
I was hooked right from the first chapter and I just kept going, reading the
whole thing in one go.
Your characters, especially Anakin, are very well done and i enjoyed the action sequences
a lot!
I´m looking forward to the next chapter!
Would it be possible to get that pm chapter as well? That would be great!
Thanks!

Hi everyone - Sorry for not posting, I'm working on The Warriors Part III -Eye of the Tiger. That will complete The Warriors Trilogy. Once that is done, I will update again.
Once again, apologies for the delay, but I promise when I post I won't let any of you down. It is totally crazy! But will the Emperor really make it that EASY for Anakin?

Hi everyone - Amongst all the craziness of Wimbledon, I got to write today, since there is no play today. I actually decided to put this up before The Warriors Part III, because I'm holding onto that for now for my own reasons. Next week I'll have more time, and July in general is a good month for me to write, so hopefully, I can keep posting.
The Hitman
Chapter Twenty Nine
500 Republica was an architectural wonder. Despite the numerous hulking skyscrapers, declaring their imperious supremacy to all who dared to look up at their colossal presence, 500 Republica stood alone. Padme quietly stared up at building, as she discreetly walked amongst the teeming metropolis of Coruscant. Although being several miles away from their intended destination, the majestic and historic allure of the building captivated her attention.
However, it was not only the aesthetics of 500 Republica that pulled Padme towards it. She herself had lived there during her tenure as a Republic Senator of Naboo. It’s lavish and exquisite design, created to meets the demands of even the most difficult of guests is what separated it from everything else on Coruscant. It was ironic that Anakin lived in the very same place that she once did. Anakin…She instinctively placed her hand over her heart, as it skipped a beat. Padme vividly pictured him in her mind’s eye, whilst the brief tender pain emanating from heart rapidly inundated her body.
She ached to hold him, to take him away from the imperious dark cloud that shrouded the former capital. To tell him of her pregnancy…To tell him that he will never be alone again. She knew deep down that she jeopardized her safety, along with Obi-Wan by entering Coruscant, but losing Anakin was the only thing she could never face.
“Padme, I sense a disturbance…” Obi-Wan said cautiously. His astute blue eyes incessantly surveyed the hundreds of nameless faces that passed them by.
“Is it Anakin?” Padme asked.
Obi-Wan allowed the imperceptible swirls of the Force to infiltrate his flesh, and augment his attuned senses to further decipher the lingering warning. An unusual shudder cascaded down his vertebrae, alerting him to something ominous…something approaching them with malicious intent.
“It’s not Anakin.” Ob-Wan clenched his jaw, and stared straight ahead.
Padme looked concernedly at the Jedi Knight.
“What is it…? Obi-Wan…?”
The crowd ahead parted, revealing a cybernetically hunched monstrosity.
“Grievous.” Kenobi said.
“Well, if it isn’t General Kenobi.” Grievous’ rasping maniacal voice conveyed his evil intentions, whilst he opened his arms in a welcoming gesture. “You were one of the lucky ones during the clone wars…I was looking forward to claiming your lightsaber. It would have been a worthy addition to my collection…It seems that today, your luck has finally run out.”
“In my experience, there is no such thing as luck.” Obi-Wan replied.
“General Kenobi, you humor me.” Grievous declared. His piercing viper like eyes glistened with malice. “Senator Amidala…we meet again.”
Padme remained quiet, as she angrily stared at Grievous. The emotional and physical pain that he had caused along with Palo at Varykino was unforgivable. Together they had killed Sola’s husband, hurt her nieces, and destroyed her home.
“I see you do not wish to exchange in any intellectual dialogue.” Grievous mocked.
“I have nothing to say to a monster like you.” Padme replied, refusing to back down.
“Don’t you want to know how we knew that you were here?” the hunched droid general asked. “The Emperor has felt your pitiful love for the Hitman, and that will be his undoing. By using you as bait, the Emperor will be able to test his new weapon against the Rebel Alliance. First the Hitman…then the Rebels.”
“If you hurt him…” Padme warned.
“…Such devotion to a man who has killed in the name of the Empire.” Grievous hissed repugnantly.
“Padme…” Obi-Wan protectively moved his outstretched arm before the courageous senator, and took a step towards their aggressor. “I’ll deal with this, you must go.”
“Obi-Wan…” Padme looked at the noble Jedi Master in confusion.
“Go now Senator Amidala, it is not safe for you here.” Kenobi stated, before walking towards the domineering droid general.
Padme immediately noticed the way Kenobi had formally addressed her, it was the way a Jedi sworn to honor his mandate would, and she would have to respect his decision. She had experienced the tribulations that Grievous had inhumanely brought upon her family, and if she was captured to be used as bait, it could cost her something invaluable to her existence…Anakin. She hastily back peddled, moving sinuously amongst the hundreds of oblivious inhabitants, as she searched for a way out.
Grievous laughed from behind his new ivory chrome mask.
“You fool General Kenobi.” He sneered. “Do you think entertaining me with your skills will save Padme and the Hitman?” Grievous removed the capacious black cloak draped over his metallic chassis, and spilt his arms into four.
Kenobi removed his robe; his unwavering blue eyes, illuminated by the blissful neon colors lighting up the narrow streets, adamantly remained fixed upon his rival. His thoughts fleetingly fell upon his good friend Padme. She was resourceful and had enough guile for someone not trained in the arts and in the mystical ways of the Force, to face adversity…but this was the capital, and the Emperor knew she was there. However, the task at hand was to eradicate the dangerous visible threat, standing before him, and it had to be done now.
Grievous coughed, unleashing three emerald blades and one azure blade, causing the spectators to quickly disperse for a safer sanctuary. Obi-Wan smiled, his glistening lightsaber powerfully hummed its arrival, as he pointed it aggressively at the droid general. The cyborg tactically realigned the rear limbs over his hunched frame, with the shimmering green swords intersecting diagonally before his ivory mask. His viper like eyes narrowed in between the crisp green resonating from the lethal weapons, whilst he pointed the remaining two blades directly at the legendary Jedi Master.
Obi-Wan allowed the Force to harmoniously amalgamate with his heightened senses, stimulating his calculating cerebellum to find any possible fractures in the attacking approach of Grievous. He shifted his weight into his left leg, allowing the Force to invigorate the now lighter right quadricep muscle. Kenobi exploded forward, using the element of surprise to unleash a scintillating barrage of strikes upon Grievous.
The terrified crowd screamed in fear, as pandemonium erupted on the neon lit streets of Coruscant. Their lightsabers clashed with ferocious intensity, causing a plethora of vibrant sparks to disperse into the ozone polluted ambience. Grievous snarled repugnantly behind his mask, as he utilized the towering advantage to assault Kenobi with deadly accurate strikes over the cranium. Obi-Wan noticed the space around them opening up…it was imperative that no innocent civilians become fatalities of their duel, the extra ground allowed him to dictate the deadly dance.
Grievous continued to alternate stabbing attacks to either side of Kenobi’s waist, in a vile and vicious attempt to separate him from his lower appendages. Obi-Wan gritted his teeth; his courageous blue orbs briefly exchanges glances with the heartless eyes piercing through the cyborg’s mask, before dexterously deflecting the lightsabers plummeting down upon his clavicle and deltoids. Kenobi lithely spun on his heel, avoiding a direct stab into his abdominals, and parried the blue blade upwards into the other lightsabers.
Grievous growled in disgust, immediately rotating his hulking frame to face Kenobi, and stopping any advantage Obi-Wan’s graceful movement would allow him to attain. He swung wildly towards the right side of the Jedi’s intercostals. Obi-Wan was forced to relinquish his two handed grip upon the metallic hilt, reversing his hold, and elegantly snapping his wrist upwards to deflect the blow. The droid general stubbornly repeated the same method of attack on the other side…but his adept rival had already anticipated it.
Obi-Wan quickly crouched down, and used his powerful connection with the Force to wait for the exact moment the shimmering green blade glided over his slightly unsettled hair. Kenobi sprang back up, severing one of the right limbs in half. Grievous vociferously expressed his distain, as the lightsaber hilt rolled across the street, and into a drain. Kenobi utilized the momentum to incessantly parry the remaining three blades, and then somersaulted across over the colossal droid’s head.
Grievous attempted to spin around, but felt his body being launched irresistibly through the air by a thunderous Force push. The droid general’s back smashed through a gargantuan purple neon sign, violently destroying it upon impact, and causing thousands of electric sparks to rain down upon the terrified spectators that still remained. Before Kenobi could tactically decided whether the fight was over, he too felt his body fly through the air.
Obi-Wan’s body went through a large paristeel window, obliterating it in the process, as he fell into a populated night bar. The crowd gasped in horror, as Obi-Wan groggily stirred on the floor and removed the fragmented pieces of glass that covered his tunic.
“Master Kenobi…you disappoint me.” A familiar regal voice echoed into the bar.
Kenobi shook his head, and stood up. The brutality of the Force push had damaged his diaphragm, and respiratory organs, causing a sharp pain to burn around his rib cage, whilst he gasped for breath. The unmistakably twisted and malicious tendrils of the dark side clouded everything around the Jedi Master…he had felt this presence before.
“Dooku…”
“Surely someone as skilled as you would have felt my presence…’” Lord Tyranus stated, as he walked past the stunned customers, and over the shattered glass towards the injured warrior.
“Surely someone as powerful as you would attack with honor.” Kenobi placed his hand across his ribcage, and continued to breathe heavy.
“You must know by now this a game…and soon, so will the Hitman.” Dooku said. “Senator Amidala is the pawn, but unfortunately your part has come to an end. General Grievous will now tend to the Rebel leader.”
“Not if I can help it.” Obi-Wan replied.
“A Jedi till the end...” Dooku smirked.
He adeptly activated his pulsating crimson blade, before ritually holding it vertically before his face. Kenobi liberated his own blue lightsaber, and lunged towards the dark lord.
*****
Dozens of Imperial troopers ran through the corridors on level ten in the Emperor’s highly guarded palace, flanking the sides of the hallways, as they dropped to their knees and pointed their weapons towards a closed blast door. The deafening sirens proclaiming the intrusion and infiltration by the enemy unremittingly saturated the stale air surrounding them.
“Commander, there is no response from levels eight and nine.” A clone trooper stated to his superior. “The enemy is still alive.”
“He can only come through this way.” The commander pointed repeatedly toward the closed blast door. “If he manages to break through, engage with the intentions to kill.” He ordered.
“Yes sir!” The clones shouted.
The clones watched as a shimmering crimson lightsaber penetrated through the blast door, and onto their side. The incalculable heat pulsating from powerful blade irresistibly melted the steel enforced blast doors, moving in an unstoppable circular motion. The commander waited for the hole to be complete.
“Launch the neural gas!” He ordered.
Several cans of poisonous gas were thrown across towards the target, clouding up the perceptibility of the area. The metallic door flew horizontally across the corridor towards the unsuspecting Imperial troops, bludgeoning them with devastatingly ruthless precision. Anakin vociferously exploded through the hazy cloud of gas; the Force reinforced the lateral tendons in his muscular quadriceps and hamstrings, as he moved with scintillating footwork.
The Hitman effortlessly deflected the blasts of the remaining combatants, ricocheting several of the shots back at their weapons. Anakin sinuously rotated his wrist, elegantly flicking the lightsaber into a mesmeric red arc parallel to the right side of torso, and severed the limbs of two clones, disarming them in the process. The Hitman shifted the weight into his left leg, using the quick weight displacement to deliver an unanswerable reverse elbow through the helmet of a clone, throwing him back against wall.
The Force rapaciously serenaded his extremely heightened senses, allowing him to adroitly crouch down and sweep the legs out from the commander. Anakin reversed his grip upon the plasma sword, impaling the clone through the chest. The Hitman snapped his neck back, causing the sweat to discernibly disperse from his roguish golden mane.
A clone trooper entered the corridor with a short range rocket launcher. Anakin dove as the rocket hit the wall, exploding violently, and annihilating several parts of the intricate infrastructure. Several balls of scorching fire forced their way down the devastated corridor and into the hallways beyond, whilst parts of the florescent lighting and ceiling collapsed under severity of the blow. Anakin groaned in pain, as he laid on his side…A sharp piece of metal had pierced through the flesh under his left kidney and had come out the other end.
The Hitman’s face contorted with visible pain, whilst he placed his right hand on the protruding object in an attempt to pull it out. The sickening pain was difficult to segregate from his senses, as he placed his right hand behind his lower back and used his thumb to push the metallic object out. A copious amount of blood seeped out through the laceration, staining his black tunic, whilst the metal moved past his flesh. Anakin’s cerulean eyes bolted up…several clone troopers were approaching him.
The Hitman exposed his palm, and allowed one of the laser guns to magnetically bolt into his hand. The warrior curled his upper lip into a snarl and began firing, as he lay on the floor. Skywalker ignored the nauseating pain burning around his lower abdominals, somersaulting over several dead clones and landing sinuously on his feet. One by one the clones fell.
Anakin dropped the gun, and looked back down towards the laceration. He had suffered many at the hands of the Emperor; the most deadly were the ones that had not mutilated his physique. The Hitman removed the tunic, and pressurized the freshly inflicted wound to suppress the blood loss. This was a war, and nothing was going to stop him.

Ouch!!!!
The Hitman’s face contorted with visible pain, whilst he placed his right hand the protruding object in an attempt to pull it out.
Don't they say you aren't supposed to do that?
The sickening pain was difficult to segregate from his senses, as he placed his right hand behind his lower back and used his thumb to push the metallic object out. A copious amount of blood seeped out through the laceration, staining his black tunic, whilst the metal moved past his flesh.
Your writing ability is amazing, especially with descriptions.
Now that's determination.

Wow, excellent post!
I really enjoyed these lines:
The terrified crowd screamed in fear, as pandemonium erupted on the neon lit streets of Coruscant. Their lightsabers clashed with ferocious intensity, causing a plethora of vibrant sparks to disperse into the ozone polluted ambience.
I could picture that perfectly in my mind's eye. Great imagery!
Once again, fantastic job!

Great post and thanks for the PM!
