A feeble hope that unfortunately is. :s Vader will never understand. Good update! I liked the idea of Tatooine having a secret underground hospital section. ^^

Poor Obi-Wan. Hopefully he doesn't catch any more diseases or fall in love with any more people he can't.
Great update!

Lovely, though heartbreaking, entry.

Year 2, Month 7
Oh my, it took all my self control not to start giggling when I overheard Ben telling Luke the bedtime story he had made up based on what happened with Anakin. Besides the 'Tomo the Shy Ibbit' stories, it has become Luke's favorite. This time as Ben told it though, Luke kept interupting, asking what each of the characters names were.
Poor Ben is not very good at making up names on the spot. The knight, Anakin, became Knight Ankajinn, I, the princess, became Princess Sirme, the evil wizard, Palpatine, became Palidious, the baby girl, Leia, became Paiea, the baby boy,Luke, became Paduke, the dear friend, Bail, became Liab, and... my favorite, the knight's brother, Ben... Obi-wan Kenobi, became Kenwandu.
I couldn't help it, I had to go to the refresher where I laughed really hard. Unfortunately, he heard... he came knocking on the door in concern and asked if I was ok. I know it was really evil of me, but I couldn't resist.
I said, "I'm fine, Kenwandu."
~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~
I've been telling Luke the story I made up when he was just a few days old about what happened with his father. I figured it'd be easier to tell him what really happened when he gets older if he had something basic for reference. Anyway, Luke is already old enough to ask questions... he insisted all these characters needed names. "Tomo and his friends have names, the knight and his brother should have names!"
Luke is so smart! Well, of course, he takes after his mother in that regard. So, I had to make up names. I'm afraid I'm not very good at it, and combined names of the actual people the characters represent with others whom I have known. So the knight is a combination of Anakin and Master Jinn, the princess a combination of Siri and Padme, etc. The only name I didn't combine with someone else was Bail's... I just reversed the letters.
Evidently, Angel overheard my ludicrous attempt at creativity.
After Luke was asleep, I thought I heard her crying in the refresher. I knocked on the door and asked if she was all right. She opened the door, and there were tears in her eyes, but she was smiling...
"I'm alright, Kenwandu."
Then she started giggling and shut the door again.
I have a feeling I'm never going to live that one down.

They are really making a life now, and that's sweet. It's not a life they would have chosen, but they are living it.

Yes, I agree.
They're becoming comfortable with the roles they're playing and eventually it all just comes naturally.

I didn't even think about that! Perhaps because I'd been pronouncing it in my head LEE-ab, not LIE-ab. I'm glad you liked the humor. I figured it was due since the past few updates were serious.VaderLVR64 posted: "I'm alright, Kenwandu."

Hehe, I can just see Angel calling him Kenwandu whenever Ben tries to give his serene jedi performance

Yeah, it's getting close to the third year, and though they always have to be alert for signs of being found out, they need to be able to live somewhat normal lives... it'll become interesting when Ben starts training Luke though.

He should call her Sirme in retaliation! Of course, just wait until Luke overhears them and wants to know why Padme calls Obi-Wan the name from the story... Very cute! That, and his name makes me think of Kathmandu. I agree with Valairy - I'm glad they've actually built a life together.

Awww, that was so cute! It's good that Padme has something to laugh about finally.
Also, maybe someday they will be glad they told this story to Luke as a little kid, you know, to get him to think of "Anikjinn" as a hero, so that he will be more ready to accept his biological father.
Who knows? Anyways, this is a pretty splendid story! Keep up the good work!

That's exactly what I thought when I crossed Kenobi and Windu... it was either that or call him Windubi, and make sound like a talking funny cigarette.

Well, maybe as a fallen hero who needs to be redeemed.
I was going to update, but just realized I don't have the time!

Exile: Year 3, Month 4
We went to visit the Lars homestead today. Tulii, Beru's mother, was there as well. We were relaxing and swapping stories while the children played. Suddenly, Luke said from across the room, "I have a stowy!"
"Well, come over here and tell us." Tulii waved him over and took him on her lap. I'm so grateful for Tulii. She has 'adopted' Luke as her grandson. It's easy to see where Beru got her patient and loving nature.
Anyway, to my surprise Luke proceeded to tell the story of Ankajinn. He told it very well, too, embellishing on some parts, especially the fight between Ankajinn and Kenwandu. At that part, he hopped off Tulii's lap and acted it out with an invisible sword. It was quite impressive as well as fun to watch.
After he finished with the tale, Tulii hugged him. "You're quite the storyteller, Luke."
"Daddy is the one who made it up. It's my favorwite bedtime stowy." He then asked her if she would play a game with him and Akee.
When she went to play with the kids, Owen looked at Ben with a raised eyebrow.
"What," Ben asked warily.
"You're quite the storyteller... Kenwandu."
Beru and I started giggling.
"Thank you," Ben tried to look gracefully dignant as he said it, which caused us to laugh harder. He excused himself, stating that he suddenly remembered something needed doing on the southern border of our farm.
Poor Ben... or should I say, Kenwandu... is never going to live this down!
~~~~~~
~~~~~~
When I had started telling Luke what happened to his father in the form of a fairytail, I wasn't expecting anyone outside of him and possibly Padme to hear it. I never considered that he may tell others the story! Luke told the whole Lars family, along with Beru's mother the story of Ankajinn... better than I can, in fact.
What's wrong with the name Kenwandu, anyway?

I like how Luke told it better than Obi-Wan. I'm glad Owen didn't get upset about the story - he never seems to be an Anakin fan. Obi-Wan'll be Kenwandu for ever, won't he? Poor guy...
