When I had started telling Luke what happened to his father in the form of a fairytail, I wasn't expecting anyone outside of him and possibly Padme to hear it. I never considered that he may tell others the story! Luke told the whole Lars family, along with Beru's mother the story of Ankajinn... better than I can, in fact.
What's wrong with the name Kenwandu, anyway?

I like how nicely they are fitting in, but I hope that they don't have too many problems with Anakin down the road.

He's still not an Anakin fan, but since Padme is still alive and it's her and Obi-wan raising Luke instead of him and Beru, the dynamics are bound to be different.
Just wait until Anakin hears the story.

Ah, but trouble down the road is inevitable I'm afraid.

Year 5:
I am so angry with Ben right now! He gave Luke Anakin's lightsaber for his lifeday! He's too young to have a lightsaber, even if Ben did power it down so that it can't kill anyone. We argued... not in front of Luke... and he is resolute on starting the lightsaber training. He said that five years is when all the younglings started the initial training on the first lightsaber form.
I can see his reasoning. Really, I can. We have to prepare Luke for facing his father... and though I would like to think he can do this by pure reasoning, I know the reality that that's not likely to happen. So Luke will have to be trained well.
I just wish Ben had told me ahead of time before gifting Luke with the lightsaber so it wouldn't come as such a shock!
On top of it all, Ben also managed to get me to agree to be trained along side Luke! Not that I'll actually become a Jedi. I'm not force sensitive. But, the forms don't actually have to be taught with a lightsaber. A vibrosword with a cortosis weave can suffice... I don't know where he got it, but he gave it to me a few minutes ago. We... Luke and I... start training early tomorrow morning. Before breakfast.
How do I get myself into these things?

I know I should have consulted Angel about giving Anakin's lightsaber to Luke. It was thoughtless of me. It's a good thing I that I found that vibrosword with a cortosis weave. Angel was somewhat appeased when I said she could train beside Luke to help ground him.
The training is a family affair now. It's not exactly the Jedi Way... but it may become so.
We're going to have to be careful about this. Only train with the lightsabers at dawn or dusk with the upper shields on so that no one discovers us... and make sure Luke knows that what I'm teaching him is not told to anyone. Not even Akee or Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

Oooh, that's an interesting twist! Padme training along with Luke, hmmmm, I wonder if she goes along to help him face his father? I can't wait to see what happens.

Well, facing Vader/Anakin is a ways down the line (towards the end of this year), and I won't reveal any details... suffice it to say, it'll be much different than the cannon.

Ok, it seems you are all enjoying this, but I have one question for all of you. How am I doing with keeping Obi-wan and Padme in character? Does the characterization seem believable under the circumstances?
Year 5, Day 1:
I am more tired than I ever thought I could be. I didn't realize how out of shape I've gotten until Ben gave both Luke and I our first lesson this morning. At least I'm no longer sore. I had started rubbing some liniment on my arms and shoulders after dinner, when Ben took over and massaged it into my shoulders and arms. I'm not sure if it was the liniment or what he was doing, or a combination of the two, but it took away the aches. Now I'm sure I can sleep like a log tonight.
I must confess a little envy towards Luke. He took to the lightsaber like a fish to the water. It was both funny and annoying that he was the first to wake up this morning, and came to wake both Ben and me up to start the training. He was so eager, it was hard to stay annoyed at being woke up at four in the morning.

I am proud of both Luke and Angel. They did well during their first lesson... which thanks to Luke's enthusiasm, took place an hour earlier than I'd planned. He woke us up at four in the morning, raring to go. I think if he had it his way, we'd have started the training the minute he recieved the lightsaber.
Angel needs to work on strengthening excercises on her arms. It's not that she's out of shape, but that the vibrosword is quite heavy. After dinner tonight, the door to the refresher was open, and I saw her rubbing her shoulder with a pained expression on her face. I guess it was a little forward of me, but I couldn't stand to see her in pain so I went in and took the liniment she was using and started massaging her shoulders and arms. I used a little bit of a jedi healing technique as well.
Force forgive me, but I enjoyed that contact with her! I mean, not in a sexual way, but... it's hard to explain. As Angel's muscles went from painfully tight knots to being relaxed under my fingers, it felt satisfying to be near her and make her feel good.
Is this wrong?
Am I betraying Anakin?

Awww so sweet! I love Luke's enthusiasm as well as Obi helping Padme with her sore shoulders.

Obi's is, definitely. He seems very unsure about his feelings, which would make sense since he has been a Jedi for so long and not used to relationships other than master/padewan or jedi/jedi.
I think you've been doing a good job on Padme, too. She is still headstrong as usual, but alot sadder.
So basically, I think they are great. Keeep it up!
