Am I betraying Anakin?
Well...technically she's still married to Anakin but Anakin died when Vader was born but Vader and Anakin are one and the same (in a sense)....!
Be cool Obi-wan, remember your Jedi training! Now would be a good time to meditate...

Don't we all?

Awww so sweet! I love Luke's enthusiasm as well as Obi helping Padme with her sore shoulders.
Ok, it seems you are all enjoying this, but I have one question for all of you. How am I doing with keeping Obi-wan and Padme in character? Does the characterization seem believable under the circumstances?
Obi's is, definitely. He seems very unsure about his feelings, which would make sense since he has been a Jedi for so long and not used to relationships other than master/padewan or jedi/jedi.
I think you've been doing a good job on Padme, too. She is still headstrong as usual, but alot sadder.
So basically, I think they are great. Keeep it up!
It's fun showing Luke growing up through glimses of the mom and 'dad'.
Thanks for the encouragement.
earlybird-obi-wan posted: lovely update with Luke so eager to train and Obi-Wan helping Padme. I could use that massage too after that run.
I wouldn't mind a little foot massage myself.
The Musical Jedi posted: Somehow I doubt it's completely non-sexual... Denial a beautiful thing? Poor Obi-Wan - so much guilt.
Well, perhaps not completely, but perhaps not totally denial either. Perhaps he's just not placing as high a value on sex as he does making his partner feel good... wait... that's not exactly what I mean.

Yep, go to your room, Obi-wan and behave.
VaderLVR64 posted: He could rub MY shoulders! I'd happily volunteer!
Great update.
Yeah, I have a set of shoulders that he could definitely rub, and no attachments to make it uncomfortable in the least.
Year 5, Month 4:
We didn't have any caf this morning. Luke decided he was going to dismantle the machine to see how it worked... in the middle of the night... and misplaced a piece. He said it was my fault for startling him when I came into the kitchen. All I've got to say is he had better find that piece and replace it so I can have my caf tommorrow morning, or he's in real trouble.
What is it with little boys and exploring in the wee hours of the morning? Or is it just a peculiarity with Luke? Perhaps we should put a lock on his bedroom door... but he'd probably manage to dismantle that, too. Thank the Force he hasn't decided to fiddle with his lightsaber and take off the safety Ben placed on it in the process!
Not yet anyway.
~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~
Luke seems to have an affinity for early morning wanderings. He's also shown an inclination towards tinkering with all things mechanical, like his father. The latest being taking apart the caf machine this morning. I can't say I appreciate him trying to put the blame for his losing one of the parts on his mother.
I'm going to have a long talk with him... preferrably after we find that missing piece. I don't feel like putting up with another morning of a caffiene deprived Angel.

No caffeine?! Luke's lucky he didn't find himself dismantled! Why do I have the feeling this is building up to something bigger?

No Caf for Angel And Luke tinkering with mechanicals. He is just like his father.
Great update and this will lead to something more I think.

Luke sounds like my nephew, he took somethings apart in the middle of the night and now my brother has a cup of screws and bolts that we don't know where they belong too!! Everything has been put back together so it's a mystery. Grandpa or someone will sit down one day and have a chair collapse....
Anyway back to my reply...
Just like his father....poor Obi-wan! I hope he's up for it!!!

Lol, the terror of Angel without caf! I wonder how quickly Luke will learn never to mess with his mother's way of getting caffeine again. So cute. ^^

Gee, I don't know why you get that feeling.

In the tinkering with mechanicals, yes, he's very much like Anakin.

I was imagining her getting up in the middle of the night, curlers in her hair, a mudpack on her face and a robe and slippers to see the caf machine in pieces on the table in front of Luke. Stars, what an image!

Luke's channeling your nephew! Or is that the other way around?
Obi-wan's a Jedi. Jedi are like boyscouts... prepared for everything.

OK, this one will be longer... a little, anyway. The longer posts will come toward the end of the year... when the story really gets exciting.

Well, he'll never mess with the caf machine again... he'll be onto things bigger and better, I guarantee it.
Year 5, Month 8:
I slipped and fell during practice today. Fortunately, nothing was broken but my dignity, but I had temporarily knocked the wind out of me when I landed hard on my back. We were playing a tag game, designed to improve footwork... our arms were tied to our sides so we had limited mobility, and we weren't supposed to step outside a circle Ben had drawn in the sand. After I fell, Luke tagged me, then started dancing around whooping and singing, "Nyah nyah, you're it!"
Ben realized right away something was wrong and helped me sit up.
"I... can't... breathe!" I wheezed.
Suddenly Luke looked aghast as he knelt beside me. He put his forehead against mine. "Take my breath," he whispered before blowing into my face.
Luke never looked so much like his father than in that moment, with those earnest blue eyes staring into mine, the blond bangs hanging just over his brow. Looking at my son, I saw Ani as I first saw him... a sweet little boy willing to help in whatever way he could. Ben didn't tie our arms that tight, so I was able to wiggle out of the bonds to grab Luke and hug him tight. "Thank you so much," I whispered.
"Now I can't breathe!" Luke whispered back, but he was giggling as he did so, the little scamp... just like his father.
Of course, I released him as I got up, tagged him and shouted, "Now you're it, nyah nyah!"
"Hey, no fair!" He shouted back as he wiggled out of his bonds as well.
We both kept laughing as we continued playing the game.
~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~
Angel fell and got the air knocked out of her for a moment. Luke made the most extroadinarily loving gesture. He blew in her face to offer his breath to her. As I saw them together, I was filled with so much love for them both. They are so beautiful together: Mother and Son.
Luke may not be my son, but I love him no less. As I watched them playing, for a moment I saw an image of Anakin when I first met him... how he shook my hand and was so innocent and enthusiastic.
By the Force, I will not fail Luke like I did his father!
EDIT: BTW, this post's one of my entries for "The Mother's Day Challenge".
