11th Entry:
We escaped!! I can’t believe it, but we escaped!!!
There we were, on death row for sure. They asked us what we wanted for our last meal. Both Garmush and I looked at each other, and said “Chili,” but only to be cooked by us. We’re quite the cooks, given our (or at least my) obsession with food. Garmush and I have made this meal quite often.
They were unsure at first, but they let us in the kitchen. I can’t believe they did that!! We went to work making what would have been the best chili. In fact, I could really go for some now, as the odors are still tickling my nose! But our chili had the right ingredients to explode after reaching a certain temperature for a certain amount of time.
And it worked. The explosion was massive! It blew right threw the walls. We only had to face 2 guards as we ran away, and we made short order of them, and took their stun batons.
I don’t know how we got to this hangar bay without any trouble. It seems like some unseen force was seeing us through. We simply stowed away on the first ship we could, which only took a little jury rigging to work around the security alarms. Once again, it seemed like it was easier than it should be.
We’re hiding in a closet now. While going through some of the bags and boxes, we discovered some documents with the name……Dreadstine. If we have somehow stowed away on Dreadstine’s ship…. Well, I just can’t believe this is all chance. I wonder what’s going on!?

12th entry:
After months of sitting in a cell, and then sitting in that closet through the take-off and jump to hyperspace, I didn’t stand a chance when Dreadstine opened up the closet door and grabbed us. We tried to use our stun batons, but he easily took them from us.
He looked angry, but he always looks angry. He gave us a meal. It wasn’t much, but after so long without food, it was the best tasting stuff I’ve ever had.
And who else comes in to eat with us, but…….Karina!!!!!
Garmush and I were desperate for an explanation, but they insisted we get some rest first before they fill us in. I don’t mind. We’ll be in this ship for a week, and I’m just excited that I’m finally going to find out what’s been going on!

Okay, still no explanation!
Dreadstine and Karina told us they would explain everything, but first they needed to explain a little about the Force. I don’t know why this is necessary, but here’s an idea of how the conversation went:
Karina: Orto…Garmush….we need to explain the…., well we need to explain to you the Force.
Orto: We know all about it.
Garmush: Blargh, schnapzzgoo, flckthppfth.
Orto: Like he said, force is a strength put forth, or breaking through something.
Karina: No. I mean like Jedi.
Orto: You mean Jedi are pushy? Or do you mean they break things?
Dreadstine: She means the Force is an energy that is in all living things, and binds the galaxy together.
Orto: So you mean gravity.
Dreadstine: NO!! I mean it’s in you, and all around you!
Garmush: Farlknn!!
Orto: Yah, I think he’s saying we’re fat, and have a lot of gravity, Garmush. How rude.
Dreadstine: NO!!!
Karina: Easy, Dad. They’re new to this. You see Orto, the Force exists in all of us, in our midichlorians.
Orto: So they’re microscopic organisms?
Karina: Well, kinda.
Orto: So they’re germs, but good.
Karina: No!
Orto: They’re bad germs?
Karina & Dreadstine: NO!
Karina: Maybe we should continue tomorrow.
Garmush: Grblllldth.
So, now we’re waiting again, and we are more confused than ever.

14th entry:
Okay, so here’s the deal. Dreadstine claims he’s a Sith Lord, which he says is a better version of Jedi. Karina is one as well, and they want Garmush and I to be their apprentices. They think if we were trained, we could all together take over the galaxy…… to make it a better place. They claim they used their powers to help us escape the prison, and end up in their ship.
Okay, so now I’m a little worried about the sanity of the humans that happen to be controlling the ship I’m stuck in. Who knows what else they think they can do? No wonder the Jedi locked Karina up! She should have had a straight jacket on. I can’t believe we fell for her lies!
Karina and Dreadstine started teaching us martial arts. What choice do we have right now, but to follow their lead? We have to pretend we understand them… at least until we can get away from them! I’m actually picking the Katas up really fast. They say that I must have the Force with me to be so agile, and yet so fat. I tried to pretend I didn’t hear that as I ate a twinkie.
Let me tell you, though. There is one thing that very few others have ever seen in this galaxy, and that is a Gamorrean doing Tai Chi. Garmush seems more energetic when he’s done, and for some reason, his drool looks clearer.

I’m more and more convinced that our hosts are completely out of their minds.
They claim that the Force can be channeled through strong emotions…like anger, hate, and aggression. But, I don’t like those emotions. I like feeling love, friendship, and the physical satisfaction of food, which has an Ortolan word: Brlrlrrr-Trloooo.
They say those feeling are good, too, but I can channel the Force more strongly through the other emotions. But, the only things that ever make me mad are when people hurt my friends, or take food away from me that I was just about to have brlrlrrr-trloooo with.
So, they started trying to make us angry by pushing Garmush around, and claiming he should be a bodyguard, since that’s all Gamorreans are good for; and then constantly offering me twinkies, and then taking it away after only one bite.
But you see, Garmush and I could tell that that is what they were trying to do, and rather than feeling angry with them, we only pity them, as they are obviously in serious need of medicine for their condition.
But then one day, Dreadstine didn’t hold back when sparring with me, and he beat me up pretty badly. This made Garmush totally freak out. And then I saw something I didn’t even know was possible: Garmush shot lightning out of his hands and really hurt Dreadstine.
This only made Dreadstine happier, and he started laughing maniacally. Karina told Garmush how proud she was of him. I suggested he singe some nerf steak that way. It would probably be delicious after it cooled a little.
But once Garmush knew I was okay, he became his usual self, and he couldn’t make it happen again. Dreadstine let us have a huge meal for reward, and I had brlrlrrr-trloooo!!

Dreadstine insisted that Garmush and I keep a journal of our meditations. This was mainly for our own benefit. But Garmush and I decided to trade in secret and read the other’s journal.
I was moved and touched by Garmush’s words. I couldn’t believe that he had so much emotion within him.
I would like to quote him here in my private journal:
