JediMasterAmanda: very interesting chapter.
Thank you!
p_stotts: Goodness! If Obi-Wan would only learn how to multi-task, he might be able to fit Siri in amongst all those other things that need "doing." Great chapter! I love how Anakin can still keep Obi-Wan off balance.
Yes, he should. Thank you!
HandmaidenVeme: Yes, he could learn this from Anakin. Anakin did a lot of multi-tasking...
Yes, he did.
Anakins_Kiss: That was a great Obi-wan/Anakin moment. Well done.
We're so happy you liked it, thanks!
Helen_Taft: Yay! I've been looking forward to this conversation between Anakin and Obi-Wan and you delivered in spades! I can't even pick a favourite line because the dialogue is all great, as is the characterisation--I'd end up quoting most of it *g*. Loved it!
We're so happy you enjoyed the Obi/Ani moment. Thank you!
Kyana-Morgaine: *hahahahahaha* Poor Obi-Wan! Being caught by his former Padawan while...uhm...being more than a friend to Siri!
Yeah, poor Obi-Wan.
I love it!!!
Thanks!
Ocelotl_Nesto: thanks for the PM... Anakin finally got to tease Obi about Siri... totally classic...
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
ratna: Ah, yes, the illusion of control. Bewitching though it is, it brings nothing but pain. Let it go, Obi-Wan. This is not the multitasking you are looking for.
Exactly, if only he would learn that.
Lolly_Tolly: Awesome chapter! The dialogue is so them, and absolutely hilarious!
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Thanks for the PM!
You're welcome.
Gkilkenny: Excellent.
The banter between Obi-Wan and Anakin felt just right, and cleared the air of any hidden secrets. Including Obi-Wan's hidden love for Siri.
Yes definitely, they need to get everything out. Thank you!
timerift22: hurray
thats not exactly walking in on them
Close enough.
but it was stil
OH SO GOOD lol
Thank you!
DaenaBenjen42: I'm grinning madly here, you two did that so, so well. Loved, loved Anakin and Obi-Wan in this post. *roots for change in that thar Jedi Code*
Yes, it does need to change. We're glad you liked it.
Well done and wonderful post.
Thank you!
Obiwans_Gurl86: That was a great post, Anakin is showing maturity, and I loved the whole conversation between him and Obiwan. I can't wait for more.
Thank you, and isn't it nice to see Anakin maturing so well?
randomangel22: I just found this story and must say I'm hooked!
We're so happy you found our story and are enjoying it..
I'm glad that the Jedi are starting to listen to Anakin since he did save them all from Palps.
For sure.
Please add me to your PM list!
We will.
Lisbev: So loverly, Obi's hand caught in the cookie jar.
Priceless. He-he.
Yes, poor Obi-Wan.
Fit_Jedi: Very interesting conversation between Obi-Wan and Anakin- I like how Anakin tries to keep the mood light even though they are talking about such an important subject. I do hope you get to update quickly- I'm interested to see what happens next.
Yes, that's one of the great things about Anakin. The next update is coming soon.
canadianjedimama: I loved the Anakin and Obi moment in this one! Very real. I could literally hear them!
We're so glad you liked it.
Nice job!
Thank you!
Independance1776: Sorry for not responding earlier- RL has been busy.
We totally understand, good to have you back.
Good job!
Thank you!
nabooqueen2008: The one thing that I love the most about this is the sense of humor these characters have even in times of trouble. It makes them so likable and you can empathize with them. I love this! Great post and keep it comin'!
Yes, definitely. Obi-Wan and Anakin are great like that. Thank you!
Jeditheskyisblue: I also vote for change to the Jedi code.
For sure.
nada_smith: I just found this story and I love it! Palpatine still has covered the galaxy in darkness, but things seem much more hopeful than in canon. I'm of course thrilled that Anakin and Obi-Wan are still on the same side.
We're so happy you found and are enjoying our story so much.
This was lovely. What impact might hearing these words from Obi-Wan have had on Anakin in canon? He needed that acceptance and acknowledgement.
Yes he did.
Great job! Looking forward to more.
Thank you!
brodiew: *Delurks*
First of all, thank you for continuing to send PMs even though I stopped reply regualarly. I appreciate that.
You are most welcome.
Secondly, I still greatly enjoy this fic. From planning a new Rebel base to Palpy's reaction to the news that message could not be changed to the Sir/Obi kiss, this fic continues to please.
We're happy you think so.
Although Palps was angry about the message, it appears there is more to Order 66 than we originally thought.
Unfortunately...
I really enjoyed the discussion of the code between Obi/Siri and how Anakin's humility threw Obi-Wan off.
Thank you!
I look forward to more.
It's coming.
Force_Chick: What an excellent AU you have created here. The plot is solid and the characterizations ring true.
Thank you so much, we're glad you're enjoying it.
Please add me to the PM list for future updates:)
We would be happy to.
Lady_Misty: Amit it Obi-wan, you would be much happier if you and Siri didn't have to hide.
Yes they would, but whether they realize it or not....
VaderLVR64: I can't blame Anakin for wanting to tweak Obi-Wan's nose just a tad!
Neither can we.
Lovely update!
Thank you!

Anakin's teasing of Obi-Wan was well done. It's good Anakin saw them kissing, maybe he can help Obi give in to those feelings for Siri.
Great job.

“I…it…I…it was just…ah…I…,”
“It’s nothing to be ashamed of, Master,” Anakin said firmly.
“I’m not ashamed -,”
“I don’t even blame you,” Anakin continued with a smirk. “Siri’s hot.”
“Anakin!”
“If fact, if it weren’t for Padmé, I might even -,”
“ANAKIN!”
“Sorry, Master,” Anakin laughed. “I couldn’t resist.”
Loved this part. Seeing Obi-Wan and Anakin's friendship (and their banter) depicted is one of my favorite things about fanfic. It's only hinted at in RotS before everything heads downhill, and I like to see how things might have been.
And I love how Anakin went straight from playful kid to wise beyond his years in this passage:
“Not all of us want to have -,”
“No,” Anakin agreed, “but you do, whether you’re willing to admit it or not.”
I like how you showed both sides of his nature. Just as we are three demensional people with multiple sides to our personalities depending on the situation, so is he. It's nice to see his maturity.
Establishing a base, rebuilding an order, and destroying an empire. Ah, all in a day's work.
Great job on this! I think my PM got lost in cyberspace though.

sorry I didn't reply sooner.
Obi-Wan should realize that its okay for him and Siri to begin a relationship. Where does he think new Jedi come from?
I just hope when its time for Padmé to have the twins, they can block any tremors in the Force that indicate their birth.
Oh, and it wouldn't hurt for them to KNOW they are having twins, for once.....

Thank you - it was a lot of fun to write.
It's good Anakin saw them kissing, maybe he can help Obi give in to those feelings for Siri.
Obi is certainly going to need all the help he can get!

Chapter 13
Bail Organa quickly slipped from the shadows, his eyes darting up and down the deserted alley before sprinting into the darkened building in front of him.
“Senator.” Strong hands grabbed him, wrapping him in a tight embrace.
“Good evening, Dex,” Bail gasped, nearly overwhelmed at the Besalisk’s unique odor. “Is everyone here?”
“Yes, they arrived about ten minutes ago.” Dex released his hold, keeping one hand on Bail’s back as he lead him through the dimly lit storeroom to his nearly empty diner. “I’ll be back here doing inventory if you need anything.”
“Bail!” Senator Terr Taneel rose from the small table to greet him with a hug. “It’s good to see you.”
“I wish I could say it’s good to be back,” he replied somberly as he slid into the empty chair next to Male-Dee. “I was informed of Mon Mothma’s death when I arrived this afternoon.” Pausing, he glanced at Senators Fang Zar, Chi Eekway and Giddean Danu. “Do we know what really happened?”
“Not for certain,” Zar admitted sadly. “We are reluctant to believe the Jedi were involved, however…,” his words trailed off as he shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
“Yes?” Bail leaned forward, a frown creasing his forehead. He was instantly concerned and dreading the worst.
“The Chancellor…Emperor,” Zar corrected, “ordered the top designers on Coruscant to completely redecorate his office the morning after…after…announcing his new empire.”
“What does that have to do with anything?” Impatience laced Bail’s normally placid tone.
“I spoke with the head designer, myself,” Zar continued, “and she reported damage in the office that could only have been caused by lightsabers. Indicating a battle of some sort between the Jedi.”
“And how does Palpatine explain that?” Bail asked.
“He stated the three Jedi Masters killed in his office were not in agreement with taking over the Republic and they tried to stop Master Windu…before being killed.”
“While he just stood by and watched helplessly,” Bail added sarcastically.
Zar shrugged.
“Unfortunately most of the Senate and the Galaxy believe Palpatine’s story,” Danu interjected. “Anyone who had doubts after his initial emergency session were convinced after hearing about the damage to his office. The Jedi have a price so high on their heads, if any survived, they will be hunted down no matter where they go.”
Bail inhaled deeply. He would have to warn Yoda of the latest developments, though he doubted they would hinder the Order’s new mission much. Thousands of Jedi had worked undercover missions over the years without being discovered. Still, they needed to be warned before leaving…leaving...Bail’s brows knotted together as he tried to remember the information eluding him.
“Bail, are you all right?” Chi Eekway patted his hand gently.
“What?” His cheeks flushed as he was snapped back from his reverie. “I…I’m fine,” he assured them with a weak smile. “I just got lost in my thoughts for a moment.” Clearing his throat, he continued, “I am pleased to announce, I have a location for our first base of operations.”
The five other senators exchanged worried glances over the abrupt change of subject. But in times like these, anything brought up their immediate suspicions and concern.
“What about the potential surviving Jedi?” Male-Dee asked. “Shouldn’t we try to seek them -,”
“No,” Bail shook his head adamantly, not quite understanding the strong urge to keep the existence of the Jedi and their secret base from his most trusted colleagues. He just knew he had to. “If there are any Jedi out there, they will have to survive on their own. We need to focus on exposing Palpatine.”
“Are…are you sure?” Taneel asked cautiously, hardly able to believe Bail, known as one of the Jedi Order’s strongest allies, was dismissing the opportunity to help them so easily.
“If they come to us, of course we will help them,” Bail quickly amended. “Right now, we need to put all our energy in picking a team to set up our base and plotting our first strikes against the Empire.”
The Senators nodded somewhat reluctantly.
“What planet do you have in mind?” Eekway asked.

“Thank you for seeing me, Master.” Siri guided her hoverchair into the small room, maneuvering past several plush cushions strategically placed around the area.
“Resting you should be,” Yoda chided as he took a seat.
“I’m on my way back to the healer’s,” Siri replied, her cheeks reddening. “But there was something I wanted to talk to you about first.”
Yoda gazed at her quietly, his ears twitching. The aged Jedi Master knew something was up immediately, but patiently waited for her to reply.
“I would like to lead the search for force sensitives,” she announced bluntly.
“Ready to leave Anoth so soon?”
“Yes…well no…um…not exactly,” Siri stammered, her heart pounding. “I just…I understand the importance of training as many beings as we can to destroy the new Empire and I want to do my part.”
Yoda closed his eyes, inhaling deeply. “Much confusion I sense within you,” he finally said. “What troubles you?”
Siri’s mouth dropped open in shock. She thought she had recovered enough from her encounter with Obi-Wan…‘no,’ she corrected herself ‘his kiss’, that Yoda would never be able to detect her mixed emotions.
“Um…I’m…I’m not troubled, Master,” she insisted. “I’m still adjusting to…everything,” she looked away from the diminutive Master, even though his eyes were still closed.
“Hmmmm.”
Siri flinched at Yoda’s frown. She’d never had any luck fooling him. “I have some things to work out, Master, but I will not allow that or anything to get in the way of our survival.”
“Concerning Master Obi-Wan,” Yoda added, one eye opening.
Siri was speechless.
“Change in all aspects the Order must,” Yoda continued with a sigh. “No longer are we bound by rules of the past.”
“Wha…what do you mean?” Siri stuttered. “Obi-Wan and I…Master Kenobi and I don’t need to change anything.”
Yoda inhaled deeply before answering. “Not asking you to change,” he replied. “Only honest with yourself you should be. Strong emotions you have for young Kenobi.”
“I…I…we….we’ve been friends -,”
“Argue with you I will not.” Yoda held up a clawed hand. “Time and energy for romantic drama I do not have.” The corners of his mouth twitched. “Free you are to choose what course you and Master Kenobi decide to take your…friendship.”
“Just like that?” Siri scoffed. “You want us to just forget about the tenets we’ve been taught since childhood? Why?
“Change in all aspects the Order must,” Yoda repeated.
Siri shook her head in disbelief. “So we’re all supposed to go out and find mates now? Is that it?”
“Mock me do not,” Yoda warned, his eyes narrowing. “Expect the current Jedi to divert from the way they have been taught I do not but theirs the decision is. For the future Jedi, the change was decided.”
“I’m sorry, Master.” Siri hung her head. “I don’t…I don’t know if I can…change.”
“Decide now you need not,” Yoda advised, patting her hand gently. “Time you have to decide what is right for you,” he paused. “When cleared by the healers you are, take Skywalker’s astromech droid and begin searching the archives and holonet for mention of suspicious activities surrounding one person. Find the force sensitives before Sidious does we must.”

Oh, come on, Siri! Loosen up a little. This is your chance to have what you've always dreamed of. However, convincing Obi will be harder than convincing yourself. Great post! Good thing Yoda wiped the location of the Jedi base from Bail's mind. Wouldn't want that to get out to the wrong person.

Great portrayal of Siri drama. I met a woman once who had been a nun and she had problems even associating with men as it seemed strange to her.
