Fit_Jedi: Oh please don't let this be a trap that Anakin is walking into. He should stay at the temple with Padme and protect her and the others. Please update soon, I must know what happens.
It's definitely not a great idea for Anakin to leave everyone behind, but at the same time Mace is depending on him.
LLL: This is turning out to be very interesting. A couple of things happen "all too easy," but overall it's a fascinating plot you've got going here.

An excellent turn of events, and Anakin did what he should have done in the movie.
Bravo Anakin, and now most of the Jedi will survive to defeat Sidious.

“Good,” he hissed as Mace Windu ordered his execution. “This is all we need to convince the Galaxy the Jedi are traitors.” Turning to Mas Amedda, he continued, “Call an emergency Senate Session.”
Amedda nodded.
“It’s finally time to create my Empire.”
Oh that dirty rotten Palpatine!

This was great! I love that Anakin got there in time to save Mace. Now, I'm wondering where was Palpatine when Anakin rescued Master Windu? I still hope that Siri is still alive and that Obi-Wan is well. Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see what happens next!

oh, if only it would have worked out this way.... I am eager to read the way it should have happened. I kind of cringe when I watch the scene in the movie in Palpatine's office, it's like, ugh! Anakin! stop it! I am going to cut this reply short as I am not digging the April Fools (hopefully) bright yellow background colors.

I have a huge soft spot (or need) to read fic were Anakin doesn't go darkside (Whenever I watch the movies I can't help sitting there and wishing things had been different--different choices had been made--exactly as you have here). Chapter 4
Bail Organa sat across from Yoda in the small conference room aboard the Tantive IV reeling from the shock of the small Master’s announcement.
“The Sith Lord Palpatine is.”
He knew the Chancellor was dishonest and manipulative, staying in office only to further his own goals, but this was the last thing he expected to hear. All this time Palpatine was toying with all the Senators, and Bail was very upset to realize that he was just been one more pawn in the Sith Lord’s master plan. Not anymore.
“It probably shouldn’t surprise me as much as it does,” he finally murmured, swallowing the lump in his throat.
“Caught us all off guard,” Yoda admitted with a sad shake of his head. “Even darker times will occur now that exposed Palpatine has been.”
Bail’s head snapped up. “The temple!” he exclaimed, slamming his palm on the table.
Yoda gazed at him knowingly.
“There was a fire at the main entrance and the clones have seized control -,” he suddenly stopped, noting Yoda’s pained expression. “I’m sorry, Master -,”
“Do not be.” Yoda held up a clawed hand, lifting his gaze to meet Bail’s. “Escaped all the Jedi have.”
He chucked at Bail’s stunned gasp.
“Alerted I was to the impending danger. Prepared we were for an emergency evacuation.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” Bail sighed in relief. “But where will you go? If Palpatine is bold enough to take control of the Temple, I’m sure he has a plan in place to deal with the Jedi.”
“Into hiding we will go,” Yoda announced. “If time you have, request transportation to -,”
He stopped speaking as Captain Antilles abruptly rushed into the room.
“Sir, I’m sorry for the interruption,” Antilles began, bowing respectively. “We’ve just received an emergency summons from Mas Amedda requesting your presence at an Extraordinary Senate session.”
Bail exchanged a worried glance with Yoda. “Tell him I will be there,” he said, waving his hand to dismiss the Captain.
“Master,” he began turning back to Yoda. “I will be happy to transport you where ever you wish to go.”
Yoda nodded appreciatively.
“First, I must attend this session. I’ll turn my comm on so you can listen from the bridge if you would like.”
“A good idea that is,” Yoda replied. “Interested to hear what the Chancellor has to say I am.”

A Senate guard met Bail at the entrance to the building. “I’ll be escorting you to the Convocation Chamber,” he announced, motioning the startled Senator inside.
“I…I beg your pardon?” Bail stammered. “I’ve never had -,”
“I’m sorry Senator,” the guard apologized with a shrug. “I’m under strict orders. Everyone entering the building must be escorted to their destination.”
“I see.” Bail knew better than to argue as he began walking towards the chamber.
“You wouldn’t happen to know where Senator Amidala is?” the guard suddenly asked.
“She isn’t here?”
“No.” The guard shook his head. “And the Chancellor is most eager to speak with her.”
Fear gripped Bail’s heart. What would Palpatine want with Padmé? “I…I would imagine she’s home -,”
“We sent a team there already,” the guard said. “The whole place is empty.”
Bail didn’t reply, instead offering a silent prayer to the gods Padmé had somehow gotten to a safe place and would stay there. He knew for Palpatine to risk sending guards to find her meant she was in serious danger.
“I’ll keep an eye out for her,” he finally offered as the two arrived at the Chamber.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Palpatine stood regally in the Chancellor’s pod as he waited for all the Senators to take their places. His eyes darted from pod to pod, never straying far from the Naboo delegation’s. Padmé still wasn’t there.
That didn’t really surprise him. She would be where ever Anakin was, of that he had no doubt. He’d already sent a troop of clones to her family’s homes as well as Tatooine, though he doubted Anakin would ever go back there, even to hide from him.
He would find them…eventually, and they would both pay for Anakin’s betrayal.
When everyone was seated, Mas Amedda called the session to order. Palpatine stepped forward, humbly resting his hands on the edge of his pod.
“It is with a heavy heart that I call this meeting today,” he began in a solemn tone. “For I must bring the most distressing news. Today, four Jedi Masters came to my office and attempted to assassinate me in cold blood.”
The room erupted into chaos, Palpatine loved seeing their confusion and surprise.
It took several minutes for order to be restored before Palpatine was able to continue.
“I know it is hard to believe, I still can’t believe it myself. Against the advice of my most trusted advisors, I have decided to play an audio recording of the attempt.”
Nodding to Sly Moore, he stood back, relishing the waves of shocked horror radiating from the Senate body as the doctored recording was played.
“These Jedi traitors tried to murder me!” he hissed as soon as the recording was over. “But I assure you I am stronger than ever! I will not allow what transpired here today to weaken my resolve. With you support, I pledge to hunt down all remaining Jedi and deliver them to justice,” he paused.
“Dead or Alive.”
He bit back a smile as the majority of Senators leapt to their feet, applauding.
“My friends, now we have the opportunity to destroy all threats to democracy. We have defeated the Sepratists and ended the war. Now we must come together as one nation, with one voice and one authority.”
The applause grew.
“I propose, today, right now, we create the first Galactic Empire!”
Shouts of approval were barely heard above the thunderous applause and hoots of excitement.
“Dear gods,” Bail moaned, his hand over his heart.

On a remote planet, deep in the Outer Rim, the first transports from the Jedi Temple began to arrive.

I like this whole idea for a fic Anakin helping to save the Jedi not turning into a Sith. I wonder how the Jedi will react to learning that Padme is his wife. Not much they can do now I mean their all into hiding.
