Ok...I'm all caught up and this fic still has the stuff that caught my interest at the beginning. I am really enjoying the good Anakin.
I too want to know what planet they are on and where this mini-temple came from.
Siri is alive as is Yoda and Mace, but only 100 Jedi remain? I had a small problem with that. The entire temple on Coruscant had less than 100 Jedi in residence?
No worries. This story rocks. You guys are doing a great job.
What's next?

I finally got to read the latest update and I must say I really am enjoying where this is going. I do hope that Obi Wan is alright and that nothing too bad has happened to him. I'm still anxious to see what the rest of the Jedi say about Padme and Anakin being together. Update soon please.

Jedi_Liz: so instead of worrying if Siri would die, now the Obi-Wan fans will worry about him.
Yeah, crazy right?
Clever, girls!
Thanks
I hope Anakin won't be treated too harshly once he tells the truth.
Yeah...
Quigonjecca: Agh! Cliffhanger!
Yup!
I love the way everything is falling into place. I always wanted to see RotS portrayed like this. Anakin as the hero... *sigh* anyway, yeah. Great post. I can't wait to see what happens to everyone... especially Obi!
We're so happy you like where this story of ours is leading, thanks!
Anakins_Kiss: Wow, I wonder if Obi will be alright. I hope he will be alright.
Hopefully he will be.
Ocelotl_Nesto: Another Cliffie? Time to regroup and strike.
Yeah, sorry about that.
VaderLVR64: Don't say that.
Sorry...
Looking forward to the next update!
It is coming soon.
nabooqueen2008: Lovely post!!!!! Siri is fine!!!!! And Yoda of course is alive and well! Well, all of our favorite characters are together and will defeat Palpy of course! Great post!
Well they definitely have a better shot all together than scattered all over the galaxy. Thanks!
Ascal_Elessar: Gah! Evil cliff hanger! *Crosses fingers for Obi-Wan*
Yeah...
Great update, can't wait for more.
Thanks you, it's coming soon.
ratna: Hey! No fair! Out of the fry pan into the fire, you put us!
You can say that again!
Lolly_Tolly: Oh no! What's happened?! *Continues to freak out in a comical fashion.*
Ok, I'm calm...ish. Please don't leave us hanging for to long.
The next update is coming soon.
And once again, thanks for the PM!
You're welcome!
DarthVaderette: Hi,
I'm enjoying reading this story, can yo uPM me with updates?
Thanks
We're so happy you're enjoying this story so far, and we would be happy to add you to the list.
Helen_Taft: I really enjoyed the visual aspect in this part. One of the things I love about post AOTC Obi-Wan and Anakin as a team is that they work so well together—even in times of crisis.
Yes they definitely were a great team.
A great update, and of course…the cliffee *g*
Thank you!
snowspeeder_gunner: Ahhhhh! MORE cliffies?!?!
Yup...sorry.
I hope Obi is okay, and I'm curious to see who Anakin was referring to about not being alone.
You're answer is coming soon.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Gkilkenny: What in the force are you two authors doing to me!
First I am thrilled that Siri is alive and in Obi-Wans arms.
Now you have me standing on the edge of a cliff waiting to see if Obi-Wan will live to enjoy Siri's company.
We will definitely have that answer for you soon.
I love the suspense, you are both doing a brilliant job with this
Thank you so much!
HandmaidenVeme: Oh no!! Run Anakin! Run!
Yeah...
Vivid_Scripts: this is certainly an interesting AU. Add me to the PM list as well please!

That will all be explained soon.
Siri is alive as is Yoda and Mace, but only 100 Jedi remain? I had a small problem with that. The entire temple on Coruscant had less than 100 Jedi in residence?
I, (Lily) never was aware that there were that few Jedi at the time. We're just going to assume there were a few hundred Jedi before the purge, and 100 is what remains.
No worries. This story rocks. You guys are doing a great job.
Thank you, we're so glad you're enjoying it.

Just to clarify that a bit more - after the Jedi losses in Geonosis and with the war in full swing, it seemed logical to me to have most of the able bodied Jedi deployed from the Temple.
The ones that were left were training, too young to be deployed or on a bit of a break from the front lines.

Chapter 7
Anakin hurried down the deserted pathways to the healer’s ward, mentally cursing himself for not making sure Obi-Wan was taken care of before he left. It was typical of Obi-Wan to ignore his own physical needs when he was worried about someone close to him but Anakin was convinced he could have done something more before thinking of his own fatigue…and Padmé.
“Anakin,” Barriss Offee greeted him tersely.
“How is he?” Anakin asked, not breaking stride as he rushed to Obi-Wan’s side.
“Sleeping, finally,” she replied, her voice laced with frustration. “I’ve been telling him for the last hour Master Tachi won’t wake up before morning and he should get some rest but he wouldn’t leave her side,” she shrugged helplessly. “Honestly, sometimes he’s more stubborn than you are.”
Anakin ignored her remark as he studied Obi-Wan’s unconscious form. “Will he…,” his words trailed off.
“He’ll be fine,” Barriss reassured him. “His own injuries are minor. Just a few scrapes and bruises,” she paused, tears filling her eyes. “He’s one of the lucky ones.”
The two remained silent, each replaying the events of the day and stories told by other surviving Jedi in their minds. Both couldn’t help but remember all that was lost, but at the same time neither could forget how lucky they were.
Anakin silently reached out and took Barriss’ hand, squeezing firmly. “I’m sorry about Master Unduli,” he whispered.
Barriss nodded silently, the images of an unsuspecting Luminara ruthlessly being cut down playing before her eyes.
Pushing the images from her mind, she cleared her throat before continuing, “I asked you to come down here because I wanted your permission before giving Master Kenobi a sedative.”
Anakin turned to gape at her in surprise. “Why would he need one? he asked. “He’s already asleep.”
“And I’d like to keep him that way,” Barriss responded dryly. “At least until morning and a sedative is the only way to guarantee it.”
Anakin paused, carefully considering her words. Obi-Wan hated any kind of unnecessary medication and in his Master’s very stubborn mind, a sedative would most definitely be unnecessary.
‘The Force will provide a “willing” subject with all the sleep necessary,” Obi-Wan had lectured time and time again. “Sedatives are only for those too lazy to connect with the Force and relax until they fall asleep.”
“He won’t like it,” Anakin mused.
“I know,” Barriss chuckled. “I think we healers are the only ones who got his infamous speech more than you did.”
“On the other hand,” Anakin began, a slow smile forming on his face. “He was being stubborn about connecting with the Force to relax.”
“I agree,” Barriss nodded. “Do I have your permission?”
“You don’t really need it, you know,” Anakin pointed out.
“Yes I do,” she argued. “Considering his well known opinion, I’m not about to take full responsibility for overriding it.”
“Understood.” Anakin gazed down at Obi-Wan’s peaceful face. “Sorry, Master,” he whispered, “but this is for your own good.”
“Go ahead,” he said, turning to Barriss. He watched silently as she prepared the injection and quickly administered it.
“How is Master Tachi?”
“Stable,” she sighed. “Thankfully, we had a couple bacta tanks ready by the time she landed.”
“Is she going to make it?”
“We’re cautiously optimistic,” Barriss admitted. “In addition to the lacerations and burns, she had a bit of internal bleeding,” she paused. “It’s a wonder she made off planet let alone to….where are we anyway?”
“We’re on a planet called Anoth,” Anakin answered with a slight laugh. He’d forgotten he was one of the few who knew their exact location.
“Anoth,” Barriss frowned, her brows furrowing together. “I’ve never heard of it.”
“Me either,” Anakin replied. “All I know is that we are in the Outer Rim and the part of Anoth we are on is surrounded by electrical storms that were a nightmare to navigate through.”
“We should be safe then,” she observed quietly.
“Force willing,” he replied.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
“Obi-Wan!
Obi-Wan!
Help me!”
Obi-Wan ran over the uneven landscape, his eyes furiously darting back and forth.
“Obi-Wan!” Siri’s voice was laced with agony. “Help me!”
“Where are you?” he called out, confused by his ability to hear her so clearly and not be able to see her.
“Siri?”
Suddenly she appeared before him, blood running down numerous cuts on her body.
“Obi...,” she gasped, dropping to the ground.
He ran to her, carefully cradling her in his arms. It hurt him to see her in such a predicament, she couldn’t leave him.
“Why…didn’t…you…come…,” she breathed as spasms racked her body. “Why…didn’t…you…save…me?”
“I couldn’t find you,” he cried, grief filling him. “But…but I’m here now and I’ll save -,”
His words were cut off as Siri began to shake more violently.
“Obi…I…trusted….you,” with a final gasp, she went limp in his arms.
“SIRI!”
Obi-Wan bolted upwards, his heart pounding.
“Ah you’re awake,” a much too calm voice observed.
“Wha...what?” Obi-Wan blinked in confusion. “Where am I? Where is Siri?”
“In the healer’s -,”
“I’ve got to get to her!” Obi-Wan pushed the blanket from his body.
“Not now.” A strong hand pushed him back down on the bed.
“Get away from me,” he shouted, struggling to sit back up. “I’ve got to see Siri!”
“You can see her in a min -,”
“NOW!” Obi-Wan used every bit of strength to push the healer away from him, not even noticing as the man crashed into a nearby tray of supplied.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi!”
Obi-Wan froze in shock as he gazed upon Siri’s bruised but disapproving face.
“Is that any way to behave?” she chided, guiding her hover chair to his bedside.
“I…I…you…you’re alive,” he gasped, hardly able to believe his eyes. Obi-Wan wanted nothing more than to hold her in his arms, but he managed to restrain himself as he shook off the vivid dream.
“I’ll give you two a minute,” Healer Solaris grumbled as he got to his feet, straightening his robe.
“I’m sorry, Master,” Obi-Wan whispered, a sheepish look on his face. “I was…uh…just…um -,”
“I know,” Solaris replied. “Just make sure you clean up the mess.”
“You certainly have a way with people,” Siri mused reaching out to cover his hand.
Obi-Wan’s pulse quickened at her touch. Her hand was so soft and warm, he didn’t want her to ever pull it away.
“How are you feeling?” she gently asked.
“I’m fine,” he shrugged. “It’s you I’m worried about. Yesterday the healers didn’t even know if you were going to…to…,”
Siri squeezed his hand tightly.
“I don’t know what I would have done if you’d -,”
“You would have gone on living,” Siri interrupted firmly.
“No,” Obi-Wan shook his head in protest. “It would have killed me.”
Siri’s eyes widened in surprise. “Wha -,”
“Masters, I’m sorry for the interruption,” Solaris exclaimed, rushing into the room. “Master Yoda has arrived.”

Aww! The mini-calm after the storm. I loved Anakin's reluctance to shoulder responsibility for overriding Obi-Wan's professed dislike of sedatives *g* and apology to the unconsious man afterwards, lol. Poor Obi-Wan with that nightmare, but at least he got to wake up to proof that it was only a dream. You have me wondering what news Yoda will be bringing with him--unlikely to be good *quakes*. Thanks for a great update! The both of you are doing a wonderful job with this story. More soon!!

I love his worry over Siri. I can't wait to find out what the Jedi are going to do to fight back.

He's almost as stubborn as you are...
Haha! I like that one!
Love the chapter-- I'm glad you let Siri live. It really would have put me off, had you decided to kill her. I'm a big fan of Siriwan fics!

Yay! Obi-Wan and Siri are both ok for the moment! I for one was cheering him on!
But now he's implied something to Siri and Yoda's about to come in... That could be interesting.
Thanks once again for the PM!

Just found this jem and... well done, ladies. Have enjoyed it through and through.
Anoth? They're on Anoth? Oh yes... that works! (It's a place so remote that even Papatine wouldn't think to look for it!)
Again: well done and wonderful story. Continue. Please.
Edit: and can I be put on the PM list? Thank you.
