Oh things are surely looking grim right now, especially with Anakin being arrested and drugged, and the story of his past coming to life yet again. I do hope that Padme can talk some sense into the others before they all turn against him.

Another wonderful update, HT. Was certainly worth the wait.
Seems like everything is about to come to pieces and quickly. Loved the twist of the Falleen coming to seize Anakin. I'm sure there are a number of different species that will be knocking down his door soon. And of course, Palpy is hiding away somewhere having a good, but sinister laugh. I did enjoy reading Anakin's introspection about not knowing where his enemy will attack from.
Also enjoyed the 'romantic tension you continue to build between our favorite couple. Makes me wonder what it will take for them to finally 'get over things.' Still, you've handled that marvelously especially since I want to slap them both upside their block heads.
Looks like the fun is just starting.
Excellent work, as always. Looking forward to the next installment soon!

Okay, I'm confused. How can Anakin be held on crimes he committed while living after having died?
I know technically he's being held for his own safety but really Anakin's being held because he was Vader. This chapter is a nail biter for sure. I'd be crying buckets if I wasn't so confused.

I wonder if Sidious will reveal himself to Anakin now.  Did Sal have an encounter with Vader when he was alive? I may have missed that. Poor Ani.

I actually started reading this story over on fanfiction.net, but then I found it here and it had more chapters to it so I got excited. Also I can comment over here because for some reason it is difficult for me to on ff.n.
Anyway, I really love this story.  It intrigued me because it is very different from any afterlife fic I have ever read. It is also very realistic. I like that you have managed to have Anakin still be Anakin, but have the good things he learned as Vader (i.e. patience) help him in this life without him using the dark side. You write Palpatine very well and even manage to make him even more dangerous. Padme's characterixation is also very realistic and I'm glad you don't have her sitting on the sidelines; you have her doing what she does best. When I read that Lorne from Angel was going to be in this I got so excited because I love him and I'm a huge Angel fan! I love all the other characters you have created, especially CT, and I absolutly can't wait to find out what happens next!
PS - Don't worry about the length of your posts, I love reading them, and could you add me to the PM list please?

Oh WOW! I've just finished reading the whole of the story thus far. What a predicament Anakin's in now. He should have told those closest to him, at least they might have had a head start to deal with the reality that Anakin was once the evil Darth Vader. I don't know what's going to happen to him, let alone his and Padme's re-budding relationship, but if you could add me to your ever expanding PM list, I could be one of the first to find out. And if you haven't already gotten it...I LOVE this fic and you are an amazing storyteller! Please update asap...

It is grim, and about to get grimmer *evil chuckle*. Padmé has the struggle of explanation in the next post—which is making it dialogue heavy *groan*

Palpy’s laughter hasn’t even begun yet, I’m afraid. He’s going to be riding a crest of his own all too soon.

Well, Vader did terrorise a galaxy and those chickens are definitely coming home to roust . Sidious’ plans are a little more complex, but we’ll get to that later. *wink*

Hi there. I’m so sorry you got confused. My bad  . Also blame it on having a shorter than usual chapter *excuses excuses*. All explanations are in the next chapter. Also, I’d ask you to bear in mind that this is a dictatorship and the only person reigning in Lyonides was Sidious, who has now given him the okay to act like the fascist he really is—unfortunately (as we know) dictators often imprison people for no other reason that they feel threatened by them. I hope that helps.

I’m chuffed to read that this is different from other afterlife fics you’ve read—being new to the fandom it can be all too easy to think up an idea that’s been done over and over. I’m also totally delighted that you think I’ve caught the characters in a realistic way. Trust me, it means a lot to hear it. Like many, I think that Padmé wasn’t given a meaty enough role in ROTS and so I’ve had fun giving her lots of action in this, I’m so pleased that has rung true with you too.
Lorne! I love Lorne, and I was a huge fan of Angel myself. In fact, it was my very first fandom and arena for writing fic. I just couldn’t resist bringing Lorne over: he seemed so right for adding a bit of colour and snark. *g*

Hi MoAngel. I totally agree that he could have saved himself some angst now if he’d ‘fessed up to his friends, but I think it’s understandable that he wouldn’t want to endanger those same friendships with the information. I suppose I’d do the same . Thank you so much for the wonderful, encouraging comments. I’m delighted you enjoyed the story enough to read from beginning to where it is now. I’m adding you to the PM list as we speak.
