	Title: Daddy in Training Author: Alexis_Wingstar Timeline: End of ROTS Characters: Senator Bail Organa, baby Leia IMPORTANT NOTE: This was beta'd by The Musical Jedi. Thank you Another note: This is in response to the Monday Mush Mania challenge to write a non-romantic mush story. Bail placed the baby girl gently into her bassinet and the infant promptly began crying once more. “Aw, Leia honey, what do you want?” the senator asked wearily. He had fed her, changed her, and did everything he knew to do for her. Yet every time he thought he had her placated, she started crying once more. He picked her up again and cradled her in his arms. As he walked around with her, she stopped crying. “Do you miss your mommy? Is that it? I’m sorry she can’t be here for you sweetheart, but Breha will be a good mother, I promise.” He smiled at her as she looked up at him with trusting eyes. “You look so much like your mother.” He was amazed as she smiled back up at him as though she could understand what he was saying. He furled his eyebrows as he felt her body tense and her face turn red. “Hey, are you all right?” As though in answer, she relaxed and smiled once more. He would have sworn her smile became wider as he realized she had dirtied her diaper. He could not help but chuckle even as he moaned. “You also have her charming personality and sense of humor. Uh-huh, yes you do.” He broke down in baby babble as he tickled her chin while walking back to the changing table. He continued to talk to her as he changed her yet again. “Only for you would I, a distinguished senator mind you, use the words diapy and pookypoo… in the same sentence no less.” After finishing the messy job and washing his hands, he once more tried putting her in her bassinet. She started crying before he had even gotten her halfway down. “Oh, come on, sweetheart. It’s bedtime.” Sighing he kept holding her and went to sit in a chair. “You have to sleep sometime.” Before long, the slumbering senator held his adopted daughter in his lap as she peacefully dozed. By the time they reached Alderaan, Leia had the distinguished senator fully trained. -----signature----- 3rd time NaNoWriMo Participant 3rd time's the charm, right? RIGHT?
