	First, let me say that that Yoda's last appearance was wonderful! It seems that both Luke and Mara have secrets Yoda feels need to be revealed to the other. And now Luke's got not only the burden of undoing what Vader did, but telling Mara who Vader really is. As for Mara going into the tree, I suppose it depends on the type of vision she sees. Luke's been to the tree twice, but seen very different things. The first time, he saw what he might have become, and the second, a past that might have been. If Mara's vision is to be like Luke's, then I think she needs to face the Hand she would be without him, perhaps something along the order of Lumiya with Mara's face. But I think a better vision would be a future if she persists in the path she's currently on. Let her see what an Emperor Luke could be, with Mara as his Empress. I think that something's going to hinge on whether Luke reveals his secret to Mara before she enters the cave, but that one's up to you, dear author. Of course, having seen that I have again fallen behind, most of what I just said is utterly pointless. And now having read of Mara's vision, let me say that you handled it wonderfully. Not only did you let Mara see what Luke might become, you let her mind bring up all the fears she's been keeping hidden under the surface. In a way, it reminded me a lot of the visions Exar Kun used in order to try and twist Corran Horn to the Dark Side in I, Jedi. It's too bad that the cave didn't offer the possibility of Luke stepping in, but then again, this was something Mara had to face. Let's just hope that she doesn't draw the wrong conclusion, but rather that she keeps in mind that all of what she saw came from the Dark Side. 	Very nicely done as always! Poor Mara, I'm glad Luke was there to hold on to comfort her. Hopefully she will learn quickly that he will not hate her and already believes in her- will be there for her. She has to see what is possible once she takes the risk to believe she deserves more and can make the better choice-love. I loved the imagery of Mara facing her fears in the cave and that she didn't take the weapons in. I wonder how she will explain her raction to him though hmmm. Great update!

	I really love your Mara in this--conflicted in a way I don't think I've seen "Hand" Mara written before. And I love Luke's talk with Obi-Wan--a bit more information this time around, which I love. 	I'm a little right now, but... wow. Liked it. Edit: back now... review time. Chaotic. Thoughts and bits of past conversations, impressions, feelings jumbled up, tumbled inside Luke's head as he tried to wade his way through it all. Memories, thoughts and emotions from his training ran free, little anecdotes Yoda had told him, their sessions spent discussing the nature of the Force, the lightsaber lessons, his teachings and exhortations all flitted through his mind. Chaotic. Wow... now that's a way to start a chapter. Liked that. To quote Obi-Wan later on: "Not the last of the old. The first of the new." (Which, yes, is definitely what Yoda would have told him.) The similarity in Mara's thoughts to Luke's is... wow. She's numb at the understanding, and he's muddled by it all. What a pair they make. And what of Skywalker - what would he think when he found out, as ultimately he must, of her true allegiances? Would he hate her? Has she forgotten that kiss already? Somehow, I don't think he'd hate her. Want to talk it out, sure, understand why she has the allegiances she does, yes, but hate? No. "Luke," Ben responded gently, "you will find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our point of view." Oh, I don't know... "Luke, your father is the guy with the noisy breathing that loves basic black and works for the Emperor." Hmm... No, I don't see the point of view problem, there, but if Ben says so... "Ben, what happened?" That's a loaded question if there ever was one... Woah... Palpy was quick to pick up on that... Mara realizing who Vader is in this mess was very well done. "So, how did you find out about this, anyway?" How did Luke find out? Wonder if she'd like the long or the short version of that? It is to ponder... The cave sequence... wow. That shook her hard. 	Ah, so very well written! I really got caught up in the story, especially the scene with Mara in the cave. I hope, if nothing else, she decides to confide in Luke regarding who she really is. He'll find out eventually anyway. Come on, Mara, have a little faith in the guy. After all, he told you his deep, dark secret. It's only fair that you do the same. 	OOOH... This was a nice long post. I enjoyed it greatly. The vision of Mara and her messages clearly show her alternatives. I hope Luke shares his experience in the cave. Perhaps it will allow him to share his hope for the future. Kids, Jedi, and a republic. Perhaps Mara will reveal her real name if not her nature next.

	Poor Mara. I think that deep inside she really is a very confused young lady that really does not know any better. She is just a product of what she has been taught. In her heart she is beginning to understand how terrible Palpatine has been to her. I do have faith in Luke to stay by her side. 	Whoa.....this post was incredible! Amazing! The tree captured everything that Mara was afraid of and made her face her troubles. Ben telling Luke all of that stuff about his past and about Leia. Loved it. Wish I had more to say but I'm more on the speechless side of things. Great post!!!!! ~nabooqueen~
