Rescue mathematics
“Easy Obi-Wan don’t overexert your healing body too much. You are doing great but healing will take some time.”
“I know.”
“You are stubborn Kenobi. Come; let’s take a rest on that bench in the garden.”
“One more round?”
“No Obi-Wan and I can make it an order, a healer’s order and you cannot ignore that.”
“OK”
Obi-Wan slowed down from his brisk walk and headed to the bench accompanied by his therapist, Jedihealer Kaagi Adin.
Both men sat down and observed the four little initiates playing in the meadow with a well known crèche-master.
The bright sun in the garden of a thousand fountains was soothing and both men started to doze and a softly snore was heard soon afterwards.

Crèche-master Rian Solma, a grey haired humanoid with bronzed skin and smiling hazel eyes had seen the two on their training rounds. “Yes Obi-Wan you are doing great. A few weeks ago you were looking so vulnerable when I talked with you and master Aaqu Maerhin in your room in the healers’ ward.”
One initiate started a new game and said “tag”. The tagged initiate went running after the three others.

Two sleepy cerulean blue eyes opened when their owner heard “tag”
Obi-Wan grinned and was instantly awake. He had played this game when he was an initiate in Master Solma’s crèche and he couldn’t resist playing along when one of the fleeing initiates came running towards their bench. “Tag” Obi-Wan said and he ran away. And that started the play between Jedi Knight and initiates with a bemused smiling therapist and crèche-master following the ruckus.
“He will stop when he becomes tired.”
“I know. I could only stop him after ordering him.”

Anakin was entering the same garden after his lessons. He had promised to meet his master there and grinned when he saw said Master running through the garden. He saw three initiates heading back to their crèche-master and only his master was running and obviously enjoying it. He smiled when he saw him and the only following initiate heading to the part of the garden where the large pond was and took off in a Force assisted run. His master was far ahead and the initiate stopped when Anakin overtook him and headed back to the crèche-master.
Using the Force Anakin made a giant jump, landed before Obi-Wan on the slippery path that led down to the pond and halted him. “No swimming today master”
A winded Jedi Knight said after getting his composure back “thanks Anakin for saving me again. I was having fun but swimming with all my clothes, no; that’s not funny. Uh this was the third time.”
Anakin said “yep and that gets us even again.”
Kaagi was the next person to arrive and asked “what is getting you even?”
Obi-Wan said “rescuing me. I rescue Anakin and he rescues me and we are counting that. And when he gets me in trouble that counts as a negative.”
Anakin said “we started this a year ago when I rescued my master after a silly food-fight between him and Mace Windu.”
Obi-Wan snorted “some rescue. You were able to stop the flying cake but it disintegrated in your hands and what did that get us?”
Anakin said “an icky master and Padawan and a lot of laundry afterwards.”
Obi-Wan said “and now you saved me from getting wet.”
Kaagi said “getting wet is tomorrow’s business. No more running today and I will see you tomorrow in the swimming-pool for your therapy. Take your rest Obi-Wan.”
Obi-Wan said “will do. Come Anakin, all this running and exercising has made me hungry. Let’s visit Serinka’s restaurant” and he headed for the exit.
Anakin grinned and followed him “no cooking disasters today.”
Kaagi said “but with those flying fish antics from the cooks you never know what disasters they can create.” He saw them leaving and heard some more of their conversation and he smiled ‘boys always make a competition out of everything.’
“Oh but I can rescue you again master”
“I don’t like fish, no need for that Padawan.”
“You never know Master.”
“You can get me in trouble”
“Yeah and I try to avoid that.”
“Try?”
