Without Understanding
You know it don’t come easy.
I’m not smart.
I’m not a deep thinker.
I don’t understand the mysteries of the Force.
I suspect,
However,
The Force has it in for me.
I am drawn to you.
Like a moth to the flame,
My soul flutters
With excitement when you are here.
I can’t have you,
However.
The Force has another plan.
You stand there,
So dignified,
So sure,
A beacon of light and peace in the universe.
Untouchable,
You stand apart.
Unchained, no ties.
No love.
Yet here I am,
Drawn to you.
It was you who said,
It was the Force who guided me to you.
Why?
Why would it
Have me love you
When you refuse my love?
I serve the Force,
Going to where it leads,
And it’s always by your side.
I follow,
Without understanding
Why the Force wants to break my heart.
