	Title: Farewell to Hope Topic: Shmi and her life after Anakin left her Disclaimer: I own nothing but the fingers that typed this (the characters belong to Lucas and the words belong to the English dictionaries) Notes: forgive me, OK, just forgive me "Don't look back." It burned her throat to utter these words. These were last words she might ever say to her young son. He was so young. So innocent but strong. She would have to endure it. "Don't look back," said she, stronger this time, as if a stronger voice would ease the pain. Anakin hesitated, breaking her heart. She turned him around and gave a small push, as if she didn't want to keep him with her. Though in her mind, she knew that she would never have let him go willingly. She would have to reassure him that this was the right thing to do. It most likely was, but deep within her, something was selfishly dubious of this. ~~~~~~ As she watched the harsh sunlight shine on the vanishing fgures' backs, she felt something, a part of her, shut down. A small light that's lit the dark corridors and chambers of her soul had dramatically dimmed. And she wasn't sure if anything will ever relight her path. -----signature----- Do you like yogurt? 	Time slowly passing. Lingering to scath the windswept dunes. Forcing the aura of daylight to ebb into night, then turning tides over and over. Shmi has accepted the torment of her loss by now, as she carried her little basket to a small oasis-like grove in the shade of a steep cliff. Yes, it was rather near the Tusken's camp, but that didn't matter. The camps were even closer if she went to any other patch she knew. The ground was littered with mushrooms, some so shriveled than one could barely tell whether or not it were harmful or harmless. She paused. There were enough that looked safe for sure. She bent to grasp one of the dainty little root-less plants. The fungi had always looked a little to her son's hair when it was impossibly tangled. However, the thought didn't strangle her mind anymore. Her son was going to help the galaxy, and she's learned to be proud of it. After her basket was half-full, she felt the air dramatically become brittle with the sound of approaching beings. Her mind became numb, but her legs thought for her. Clutching the basket, she fled. 	It happened too fast. There was a flurry of crazed fire. A mess of searing points diving for her puny self. Several coarse, gloved hands gripped too firmly. Too hard. They forced her to the ground, so quickly she hardly had time to gasp in pain before the vision disintegrated and her consciousness fled her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sorry, its too short -----signature----- Do you like yogurt?
