	Aww, poor Obi, being stalked by two teenage girls. And I loved the vine story, poor Obi and Qui. I had no idea he knew such colourful words when I explained that I wasn’t joking. I’m sure even Master Yoda’s ears would’ve curled at his verbal skills. So I'm guessing it was either Sifo-Dyas or Dooku who shook Obi's hand. And now I really want to know what he saw in that vision! The girls in the shower added a bit of lightness to the dark times coming. GeneralKenobi7 The Unifying Force is all about visions and that is Obi-Wans forte I was trying to show Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan’s friendship with the vines scene. Raphire I think I would sneak in to to watch Obi-Wan. Poor Obi-wan. Hmmmm. Maybe he'll take the trials and become a knight and then get put in carbonite! It is a Padawan who is frozen in carbonite. 	ooo The doors to the healers’ waiting room burst open announcing the arrival of one single-minded and not so calm Jedi Master. “What happened to Obi-Wan? Where is he?” He asked the healer on duty. “He collapsed Master Jinn, Padawan Muln said he was alright one minute and then it appeared like he had a seizure. He’s being examined now.” Qui-Gon’s eyes searched for Garen, who was standing over by the window looking like he’d lost his best friend. “Garen, what happened to Obi-Wan?” “I don’t know Master Jinn; he was shaking hands with Master---” Qui-Gon glanced around as the Master who Garen was pointing too spoke. “I’m sorry I can’t be of more help Master Jinn. I can only repeat what I told the healers. I saw your padawan chatting to the other padawan’s and I went over to congratulate him on the exhibition you both gave today. He seemed fine when I spoke to him and I shook his hand. He began to shake and then he collapsed. I called the healers and then I carried him here.” “Thank you for getting him to the healers so quickly, Master Sifo-Dyas. Was he conscious when you brought him in?” “No, he wasn’t.” Qui-Gon felt his stomach churning; he didn’t know what to make of this. Obi-Wan had never had a seizure before and he’d never fainted before either. He was a healthy young man and always passed his medical checkups with flying colours. Half an hour passed by and Qui-Gon was pacing back and forth. Master Sifo-Dyas had already left and he’d sent Bant and Garen away with the understanding that he’d let them know as soon as he heard anything. His emotions were beginning to leak through his shields. He had no answer yet why his padawan was unconscious in the healers ward and his mind began searching for reasons. He peeled back layers of memories going back to the first time he’d met his padawan. Obi-Wan had been in this very ward in a private room with Corellian fever, a flu like illness that caused a high temperature, but could be cured by immersion in bacta. The boy was only nine and his temperature had skyrocketed to the extent that they’d put him in ice first to get his temperature down. Otherwise, they couldn’t immerse him in bacta. Qui-Gon had just finished having his yearly medical, when the alarms went off in the private room. Qui-Gon felt a disturbance in the Force and felt compelled to look at the sick child. It surprised him, because he tended to avoid the initiates. He could hear the healers barking out orders. ‘Cover him with ice – keep him still – sponge his face.” Qui-Gon peered around the door and his heart sunk, there before him was a small sandy haired boy crying and thrashing about while the healers poured ice cold water over him. He wanted to run in there and pull the boy out, wrap him in a warm blanket and hold him tightly until his little body relaxed. That thought made him shake his head. -That’s why they were dipping him in ice, because his body was burning up. He watched for a few minutes until the boy stopped struggling, and soon the crying ceased. It wasn’t long before the healer injected something in the boy and they placed him in a tub full of bacta with just his face above the liquid. “Will he be alright now?” Qui-Gon asked when healer Ba’han came past him. “Yes the worst is over now; we have to keep him in the bacta for a few hours. The trouble is he likes company and we’re too busy to sit with him.” “I’m not busy at the moment would you like me to sit with him?” “Why Qui-Gon, thank you!” Qui-Gon couldn’t believe he’d just offered to sit with an initiate and he sensed a puzzled shock register through the Force from the healer. “Are you sure?” ‘Yes, I’m sure - what’s his name?” “His name is Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Qui-Gon felt a contented sensation fill him and immediately, he knew that he was going to hear that name for many years to come. ooo A voice brought him out of his musings. “Qui-Gon, you can come through and see Obi-Wan now. He’s sleeping and we’ve run quite a few tests, his temperature is slightly elevated, but other than being tired we can’t find anything seriously wrong with him.” Ba’han stated as they walked down the hall. “I know you were in the training arena earlier. Perhaps he over extended him self, after all you’ve only just returned from your last mission.” “He seemed alright when we finished and he seemed good-humoured enough through our bond, although he did mention he was tired.” “He’s asleep now, I suggest that we let him be and once he wakes I’ll check his vitals and if he’s alright you can take him to your quarters. I’ll send a report to the Council insisting that he has a few days off.” ooo Qui-Gon settled down on the chair next to Obi-Wan’s bed, his Padawan appeared to be in a calm and deep sleep. Qui-Gon rested his own weary head back and dozed off. However, an hour later, a disturbance in the Force had him wake with a start. Obi-Wan was still asleep, but he was sweating and his eyes were moving quickly under his eyelids. If he didn’t know his padawan so well, he’d swear that Obi-Wan was in the grip of a possessive vision. He knew that Obi-Wan’s insights were of the Unifying Force, and it was possible for him to have a Force vision, although they were extremely rare. However, in the time they’d been master and apprentice, Obi-Wan had never had so much as a bad dream. Healer Ba’han came in and sat down beside Qui-Gon “What’s going on?” he inquired. “He seems to be having a dream or possibly a nightmare!” “Perhaps we should wake him.” “I can sense him through the Force he’s going to wake any moment now.” Qui-Gon said. Abruptly, he felt Obi-Wan rise to consciousness, his eyes shot open, and he jerked upwards to a sitting position. Qui-Gon could see the perplexed look on Obi-Wan’s face as he tried to blink away his confusion. A disorganised array of emotions flashed across his padawan’s face. “Obi-Wan….It’s alright my Padawan….you’re safe,” he smiled at his somewhat baffled Padawan. “Master…you’re here? - I couldn’t find you!” he stuttered. “There were so many soldiers and then it was so dark.” A tinge of fear flew through their bond and Qui-Gon felt Obi-Wan’s body begin to tremble. However, before he could answer him, Obi-Wan fell forward and collapsed in Qui-Gon’s arms. Something had certainly upset his Padawan and as soon as he calmed down, he would find the underlying cause of it. It took Qui-Gon some time to convince Ba’han that Obi-Wan would be more comfortable in their apartment. Nevertheless, it was late into the night cycle when the Healer gave the all clear for Obi-Wan to leave. ooo Obi-Wan was wide-awake, but he was so withdrawn. Qui-Gon had to ask him twice if he wanted something to drink. He was wrapped in a thick blanket on the couch in their common room and Qui-Gon felt him retreating into his own thoughts. He brought a cup of hot Chocó back and handed it to him. He was surprised to feel his padawan’s shields at maximum, because the one constant in their relationship was their openness with one another; they didn’t have any secrets from each other. They did maintain a certain degree of privacy within the confines of their bond, but if Obi-Wan had a problem, he’d always confide in Qui-Gon. This was a new twist in their relationship, and Qui-Gon wondered if it was just Obi-Wan not wanting to burden his Master with his worries. He certainly seemed to be panic-stricken thinking his Master wasn’t anywhere around. He decided to allow Obi-Wan to tell him in his own time. Nevertheless, after an hour of silence he couldn’t wait any longer. “Padawan, I don’t want to appear anxious, but it’s getting late and I can honestly say that I won’t sleep until I know what it was that upset you so much?” Obi-Wan was half lying on the couch and he sighed and sat up, leaning his head against the back. “I don’t know where to begin Master…I’ve been going over it in my head and it seems so ridiculous now that I think about it. It was weird…. it was like I was a spectator being taken on some journey.” “Then perhaps start at the beginning of your journey, Padawan. Were you well when you left the arena?” “Yes Master… I told Garen and Bant I would be a few minutes and I went to the showers.” “Did anything happen in the showers?” Obi-Wan rubbed his head and a blush filled his cheeks. “I had words with two young padawan’s who thought it would be fun watching me shower, until I convinced them it was a bad idea.” “Not the two girls from your velocities class?” “Yes, it seems that I’m still their favourite teacher. However, I think I’ve convinced them to stay out of the male showers now though.” “I see,” Qui-Gon knew about their antics in class. “Nevertheless, I’m going to speak to their Masters. They are padawan’s now and should act accordingly. Now - after they left what happened Padawan.” “I washed my hair, but I – I dropped the soap and when I bent down to pick it up I felt dizzy. I remember thinking ‘did too much today.’ My shoulders were feeling tight and I let the water run over me for a while until my head cleared. I had a bit of a headache, but other than that I felt fine.” “Did you go straight to the fountains?” “Yes, I sat with Bant and Garen. I felt all right, although I still had a slight headache. We were laughing at some joke and then Master Sifo-Dyas came over to congratulate me, he said something about the sabre display, and then he shook my hand and that’s when I……. ‘went…somewhere!” Obi-Wan said quietly. “You went somewhere…..Padawan, where did you go?” “I seemed to be following Master Sifo-Dyas! He was on a mission I think.” “You went on a mission with Dyas?” “No, I was seeing things that he was seeing, but I don’t think I was with him." “What sort of things did you see?” “Test tubes with tiny beings in them. Master Sifo-Dyas was inspecting them and asking questions about how long it would take them to develop and be fully functioning. There was someone else there who was telling the master that they’d take about ten years before they’d be ready.” “What were they Padawan?” “I’m not sure what they were and I didn’t recognise the other person, but he said they can produce thousands of soldiers at once. Master Sifo-Dyas said he was authorised to place an order. The being he was talking to said they needed a test subject to complete deal.” “Test subject, soldiers? It doesn’t make sense Padawan, what else did you see?” “Master Sifo-Dyas left that place and he went to a dark alley, I think he was going to meet someone. He was standing with his back to me and I could see a dark shadow coming toward him, darkness seemed to invade everything and Sifo-Dyas grabbed hold of his throat and he couldn’t breathe. He fell to the ground and the dark shadow ignited a red sabre and killed him.” “A red sabre?” Qui-Gon said stunned. “That was a sith weapon, Padawan. They’ve been extinct for millennia! Have you been reading about sith lately? Perhaps that caused you to have this seizure?” “ A seizure, is that what I had?” “The healer isn’t sure he couldn’t find anything wrong with you except for a slight temperature. Nevertheless, something caused you to collapse.” “Master, I haven’t read about the sith for at least five years, it’s not something that we study and before today, I’ve not really spoken to Master Dyas either, except to say hello, in passing.” “ Then I don’t know what to make of it Padawan it is strange.” “Yes I know Master, I told you it was a weird vision, but it didn’t end there, time sped up and I was older and there were hundreds of thousands of armoured soldiers. They outnumbered the Jedi by massive amounts. I saw Master Yoda and Master Windu, but I couldn’t see you anywhere. There was a battle going on and the Jedi were in the middle of it.” “I’m uncertain what to tell you Padawan, but I’ll speak to Master Yoda and perhaps he and I will speak to Master Sifo-Dyas. He might be able to put some light on your dream.” Qui-Gon suggested. “A dream Master, do you think it was just a dream?” he asked. “Well you did say that you felt tired and had a headache, combined with the slight temperature. We’ve just returned from an arduous and difficult mission, even the healer suggested you might be rundown. Our demonstration may have been too much for you and it might have caused your shift in reality.” Qui-Gon tried to offer a logical explanation. “Yes, I suppose so Master, it was certainly weird.” ooo Obi-Wan was still asleep well into the next day, and Qui-Gon decided to let him rest. He headed out to speak to Master Yoda. Qui-Gon repeated Obi-Wan’s story to him, and Yoda seemed genuinely disturbed by the content of the dream. “I wonder if we should speak with Master Sifo-Dyas.” Qui-Gon inquired. “Impossible to speak to him it is.” Yoda stated. “Why?” “Left the temple last night he did. Told no one where he was going.” “That’s odd isn’t it?” “Strange it is for a Master to leave without informing the council. Waiting for him to contact us, we are. 	If he isn't already dead then So was Obi-Wan's vision caused by Sifo-Dyas? Or was it just coincidence that it happened then and that Sif-Dyas left so soon afterward? 	I'm really liking the relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Wonderful interaction; you can tell they care for one another. As for Obi-Wan's vision, it is curious that he would have it just as he shook Syfo's hand.
