Once in a great while lips meet and two spirits merge for a time and the universe is right and complete and the planets wheel in their proper places. Laurin Sawaya was dreaming. She was a beautiful young woman with long black hair that was spread out on the blue green pillow. A smile passed her lovely features. She was kissing the man she loved and he was responding to her. She had waited for a long time. She had known loss. That was a long time ago when she was just a five year old child and she had loved the little boy of the same age. The boy was lost but now he had returned. She had known despair. The boy had returned as a seemingly old man aged by a hideous slaver collar and he had been badly injured. She had been there when the surgeons saved him helped by a Force ghost. She had been uncertain of his future. She had been there when the healers guided him out of the sedation and she had seen his pain filled eyes. She had seen the eyes of the healer Jehna Er-San and had doubted. Was that a gaze of compassion, of despair? She had followed his advice to go to the beach. She had met hope and Jehna had confirmed that hope. And now she was dreaming about the future and she heard the words “do or don’t there is no try” spoken by her great friend Grethil Majina. And she took him again in her arms and kissed him.
