	It's just something that I've noticed lately. Nearly every liberal that I see is angry about something. Everything from "I hate Bush" to "I hate religion" seems to be all that I ever hear from Democrats that I speak to or see on TV. 	It has to do with posts like the following which came from conservatives: I believe that killing innocent infants, no matter what their age, is wrong. Now the liberals may start calling my a sexist bigot. Let the name calling begin! And if you arn't ready and you get pregnant anyway, that's really too bad. You shoulda thought ahead. Doesn't give you any right to kill the kid. Im on ethics You should try it sometime. GOD/EVOLUTION/WHATEVER DID NOT CREAT SEX FOR PLEASURE. HE CREATED IT FOR HAVING A FRIKKN CHILD. PLEASURE IS A FRIKKEN BYPRODUCT, NOT THE MAIN PURPOSE OF SEX. WHY CAN PEOPLE NOT GET THAT THROUGH THEIR HEADS?????????? When you gamble (have sex) it's fun and you could get money out of it (the pleasure of having sex), however you run the risk of being in debt (having a child). If you do get in debt, you have to face the consequences. If you dont want to face Big Joe (childbirth & cost of raising you have to murder (have an abortion) an innocent bistander to get out of it (the fetus). Now, are the other ways to avoid Big Joe? Yes. You could get a loan (put the child up for adoption), or just face him (raise the child). Annnnd the abortion argument reaches a new low as pro-abortion suporters compare fetus's to plants. PLEASE. You pro abortion people make me cry. This is getting ridiculous. You guys are so wrapped up in your desire to allow people to kill babies, you can't even acknowledge that humans are more important then animals. Flame me if you want because quite frankly, it wont hurt me at all. I'm firm in my faith and I know what I know. Whether you agree with me or not is your agency and each of us will have to be accountable for our actions when we reach the judgement seat of God. The purpose of marriage is the raising, the procreation of the race, and raising children. So some people see sexual gratification as so all-consuming that they refuse to take responsibility for the consequences that are the basic biological purpose of sex and not at all unexpected? I truly worry about a society that would take these people seriously. Sorry, but if you honestly believe that, I think you're far too focused on sexual liberation and the supposed evils of the patriarchy. Why are we angry? 	Thank you Anakin-Girl. That was well written and well elaborated. Liberal, Conservative, blah blah frigging blah. We are all humans with ideas. It's just some weak minded individuals decided to chose a side. Join a crowd and get lost in it quickly. As if they're afraid to stand on their own two feet. People get tired of hearing rhetoric and stupidity identified as truth. It gets under people's skin because in the end they realize this is one of the main problems with America. Ever read any of TripleB's tirades against "liberals" (as he misuses the word)? You sure that it is those on the Left who can't live with the ideological beliefs of others? I think of myself as a Liberal Conservative. I'm pro-war, anti-gun control, for tax cuts, etc. I'm also for gay-marriage and pro-choice. I'm ticked off at both sides every once in a while, and I find fault with both sides. However, I have noticed one thing: Most on the Left will disagree with me when it comes to my stance on gun control and the war, but they'll still respect me. Most on the Right, however, see me as a traitor, and will not forgive me for being pro-choice and for gay-marriage. The Left seems to agree with me when we agree, and disagree with me (vehemently in most cases) when we disagree, but they'll respect me. The Right never seems to notice when I agree with them, and just shuns me when I disagree with them. In conclusion, both sides have their faults, but the Left doesn't hold a grudge against me when we disagree. Don't leave me. Don't ignore me. Don't kill me! -----signature----- "GAIUS H. 	//sigh The ideological extremes often use labels and such, but the left is much more vehemently angry and intolerant than the right. The mainstream right wing and conservative base doesn't use labels like a_g pointed out, only the extreme fringe. Look at the culture war going on today - the left, in favor of gay marriage, et cetera, will call you an intolerant bigot if you oppose them. They're very well organized with groups like the ACLU and such. Look at all the books out there at B&N today. The majority of political op-ed from the left is nothing but hate speech. The left, which espouses 'tolerance', is as intolerant as you can get if your point of view doesn't jive with theirs. 	I have not noticed liberals or conservatives more angry than normal....but I do feel that this country has swung more toward conservatism than what I'd like. Am I angry? Nah. Are liberals angry today? Probably about as angry as conservatives were with Clinton when he was in office. One more thing, the definition of who is liberal or conservative differs from person to person. I am liberal on social issues, but fiscally moderate. I'm not a big advocate of protectionist policies, so outsource away! But I'm also a big advocate of universal health care, expanded day care services for working parents, gay marriage, pro-choice, prison reforms, and higher science standards. 	Rush Limabaugh was a really angry guy. Remember his psycho diatribes? He was a conservative if I remember correctly. I don't know that the left is more angry than the right, though--but maybe. I mean, our party isn't in charge of both the executive and judicial branches of government. Many conservative people are actually great for carrying on a good conversation/debate with--DM is one of them, as are irishjedi, KK and a few others here, as well as my husband, who is a social conservative and an economic liberal. However, the posts I quoted above just spout hatred for our side. We don't like being told we're immoral or we're going to hell, any more than you like being told you're bigoted or sexist, when that very well might not be true. You want an angry right-wing organization, DM? 	Is it just me, or did anybody else notice that the subject of the title of this thread is, "liberals", while the first post says nothing about "liberals", just "democrats"! Problem #1: All Democrats (either ideological or in name) are not necessarily liberal. Problem #2: All liberals (either self professsed or named so by others...a third category of liberals is the unknowing humanists, as I believe is the case of most humans, when given a chance) are not necessarily Democrats.
