I know that this has been brought up, but I still keep hearing about Cheney being replaced as VP. IMO, this talk (in the media) has intensified. My understanding is that this would never happen because Cheney is very popular amongst the conservative base.

Any of you conservatives out there have any inside info?

I'd like to see Colin Powell or Rudy as his VP if Dick doesn't run again.

Also, did anyone else watch/listen to the Nader vs. Dean debate yesterday? Even after listening to Dean make some very good points I think I still support Ralph Nader for the presidency.

I'm hoping that Colin Powell resigns. There was talk about it months ago from some sources around him but I haven't heard anything since then. Colin Powell is one of the few politicians I fully respect and I'd vote for him as president in a heartbeat. But if he sticks by those animals for four more years, I'll lose all respect for him.

Yes, Cheney will be Bush's running mate come November. I'm honestly at a loss when trying to figure what it is exactly about Cheney that all of a sudden makes him a "liability" for Bush. Can someone clear that up for me? Halliburton is not an acceptable answer.

I have a weird feeling about Cheney. He reminds me of one of the old Wall Street-Madison Avenue republicans. That's probably not who he is politically, but just my first "gut-feeling" about him.

I don't see Bush dumping him. Besides, those who have a problem with this administration are primarily anti-BUSH, not anti-Cheney, the secret Bush puppet-master.

Can anyone else imagine the impact of a Bush-McCain ticket?

I will ask the consensus of Americans here from either party not to gloat or be disrespectful after the results of the election are in, regardless of the victor.

Forget that, I'll be the first one to riot if Bush wins. If it happens it will be one of the worst days in american history.

And I'll be there in riot gear to deal with any rioters, on either side. Let me tell you, riots are a bad idea on my turf.

Oh yeah, well I'll have a bazooka ready!

I wouldn't actually riot, I'm not that kind of guy, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some riots. Ugh...I don't even like thinking about it, if Bush wins it'll be such a sad day in america, and all over the world for that matter.

Cyprus, if there were Riots over Bushs victory, the people on the left would look so bad that they would NEVER come back in power again. Same if conservatives rioted over a Kerry victory (though I have yet to see anybody anywhere advocate that). Don't go encouraging your side to make fools of themselves.

C'mon, that's ridiculous! A few liberal rioters are going to represent liberals in politics? Give me one situation EVER where rioters affected the politicians they represented negatively. Most people aren't that stupid to think a couple of knuckleheads represent the rest of their party.

Now if politicians rioted...that's another story.
