	It was December of 1887, Hudson Taylor, who was the founder of China Inland Missions, was preaching in a church in England. And in the midst of his sermon, he froze in the pulpit and for over ten minutes said nothing at all. Many people in the church thought he had suffered a stroke. But what was really going on was that the Lord was giving Hudson Taylor a vision. After that message, many people approached him and said “Well, what did you see? What did the Lord show you?” Hudson Taylor, in December of 1887, said this: “God showed me a vision of the Gospel spreading across Asia like a flood. I saw it reaching into India, and Malaysia, and Indonesia, into Thailand up to China and into Russia. And as a result, there were millions of conversions.” They said to him, “Hudson, what did you see next?” And he said, “Following this flood of evangelism, I saw huge door slamming shut. And the next thing that happened was the Rapture.” It was over 100 years ago, and it seems to be a vision that describes the way this last week has lived itself out. How does a devastating week that the world has just experienced fit into God’s plan? Rather well, actually. It’s God at work once again, shaking us up and getting our attentions. C.S. Lewis put it this way: “God will use tragedy as his megaphone to try and reach a deaf world.” It was one of the strongest earthquakes ever on record. In fact, in Isaiah 59, God would give to us some encouraging words in the midst of tragedy. Maybe you faced a year, 2004, that was a year of tragedy for you. Well be encouraged with this: Isaiah 59:1-4 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God. And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, and your tongue has muttered perversity. No one calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; they conceive evil and bring forth iniquity… It goes on and on, describing for us what life is like as God looks down on the planet. And there is a response to this if you skip to the second half of verse 15 and then 16: Isaiah 59:15b …Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own righteousness, it sustained Him. For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak. I don’t know if you saw the news article of this one particular director of a Christian orphanage in Sri Lanka, called the Samaritan’s Orphan Home. And on CNN, Anderson Cooper was interviewing him. This man who has worked for 26 years in running a Christian orphanage on the island of Sri Lanka said that he had a premonition and a vision in his heart that something bad was going to happen. And before everything that he had worked for was destroyed (and it was, the entire orphanage), he was able to grab up all of his orphans, put them into boats and head offshore into the eye of the tsunami. They started paddling into the wave. Why? Because God told him to get in the boats and to trust Him, and they went. The man is telling this story to Anderson Cooper, who is trying to cut him off. He continues on as the wave came and this man rebuked the wave in the name of Jesus Christ and the orphans were all saved. God wants to save us. God’s heart is to reach out and to save us. And sometimes he has to go to desperate measures in order to get our attention. And if there’s anything that we’ve seen this last week, we’ve seen a world falling right into place, just like He said it was going to be in the last days. Unfathomable for us to try and get our arms around the loss of life. 150,000~ dead, 5 million homeless. The island of Sumatra, which was the epicenter of the earthquake, was moved 100 feet from where it existed in it’s pre-quake position. The whole earth has been vibrating as a result. And it wouldn’t just be the words of Isaiah that would bring comfort, let me show you what Jesus himself says about these exact days in which we’re living. It raises a lot of questions, very interesting questions about when these things are going to take place. Look at this: Luke 21:7-8a So they asked Him, saying “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?” And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived.” That’s His heart. He doesn’t want you today to not know what’s going on. He wants you to know what’s going on. He doesn’t want you to be duped or left in the dark. He wants you to be in the light, living filled with His love and waiting for His return. Luke 21:8-11 “Take heed that you do not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, “The time has drawn near.’ Therefore, do not go after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.” And He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. We’ve seen a lot of that this year, moreover this last week. We’re living in a world of contrast. We’re living in a world that is being shook to its very foundation. We’re living in a world where we’re constantly being asked, “What is it you believe? And what are you living for? And where is your hope?” Well what is it we’re believing in? What is it we’re putting our faith in to keep us healthy and safe? What you’re living for? How are you going to survive 2005? Kingdome rising against kingdom. Certainly you see the kingdom of God that contrasts with the kingdom of Islam, which is no more populated anywhere else in the world than in the nation of Indonesia, did you know that? You see the kingdom of God at contrast with the kingdom of Buddhism, which is no more populated anywhere else in the world than in the nation of Thailand, did you know that? You see the kingdom of God against the kingdom of Hinduism, which isn’t anywhere more populated than it is in the countries of India and Sri Lanka. And you see what’s happening in the world and where it’s happening in the world and the signs of His return as He would speak about it in this picture of a world that is in contrast. A world that is so badly wanting to experience peace, but is so much at strife, so much of the time. People are dying of starvation and famine in the midst of people who are so wealthy and have plenty. A world of contrast that’s being rocked now to wake up through great earthquakes, certainly something unprecedented is unfolding before our very eyes. And in the midst of it, natural disasters are up 400% than they were in the 1990s, did you know that? In this last hurricane season alone, the coast of Florida and the West Indies saw the likes of Alex, Bonnie, Charlie, Danielle, Earl, Francis, Ivan, Karl, Lisa, Matthew, Nicole. One after the other. Boom, Boom, Boom! Just to wake them up. And it is my heart to tell you to wake up and watch for a few things that are to come this new year. Some storms, spiritually, that are on the horizon. The Mount, The Merge, and the Mark. The Mount Let’s take these one at a time. Certainly the Mount, if there was a mount that was the epicenter of all biblical prophesy, it would be the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, in the nation of Israel. A small nation, 8000 sq. miles, smaller than New Jersey, but everybody wants it. The Arabs already control 6 million sq. miles in the Middle East, and all of it has oil, and yet they’re not content until they get that little postage stamp of a piece of property called the Temple Mount all to themselves. The Temple Mount will be the epicenter and will see more signs this year of a fight of all fights. A place within the city that will divide the city according to the book of Zechariah. Jerusalem will be divided. And unfortunately, our President stood up this year and proclaimed that was one of his goals in 2005 to see the existence of a Palestinian state. We’re watching this all take place. In our lifetime. And that Temple Mount is worth your focus and concentration this week and this year in the news. Jesus predicted that these things will come to be. He said that that temple, in Luke 21, will not be left with one stone standing upon another. Well that happened in 70 A.D. by the Roman Empire. Now, the Jewish world lives to see that temple rebuilt. The only problem is that there’s a mosque in the way. There’s walls being built all across the nation of Israel. It’s interesting that Ezekiel 38 would talk about the Lord coming back to rescue the unwalled villages. Keep your eye on the Mount, the Temple Mount, this year as prophesy continues to develop and unfold before our eyes. May they be wide open to see it. One of the questions I love to ask the Jewish people is “Well how will you recognize your Messiah, if you don’t think Jesus was the Messiah? I believe that Jesus is the Messiah that you’ve all been waiting for.” “No, that wasn’t him. We’re still waiting for our Messiah.” “Well how will you know your Messiah when he comes? What will be the clue?” You know how they answer that question? Very interesting. They’re answer to that question is simply this: “We’ll recognize our Messiah because our Messiah will help us rebuild our Temple.” Well there’s a set-up. Because that’s exactly what the Antichrist says he’s going to do when he comes on the scene. So you need to watch this Mount. You need to watch the separation of the city of Jerusalem. Watch it like a hawk. The stage is set, and in the midst of it the Lord would say, “I don’t want you to be deceived.” The Merge Certainly the death of Yasser Arafat has created quite a vacuum hasn’t it? For someone to slide in, to step on the world stage and say “I’ll solve all the problems with the Arabs and the Jews. I’ll solve all the problems of the Middle East.” But it won’t be an Arab that does that. According to God’s Word, it’ll be one from whom the emperor used to destroy the original temple. Now that empire was the Roman Empire. It’ll be someone out of a European descent who will also be Jewish. He’ll emerge out of this reunification, this mergence of these countries and nations of Europe. So if you’re going to watch the Mount, you should also watch the Merge. The Merge of these European nations coming together. It’s been fascinating to watch in these last couple years after the Euro has been put into place. If you’ve seen a Euro coin, it simply has a woman riding a beast. Hello!! (Revelation 17) And as they begin to form together, it’s as if that vision that Nebuchadnezzar had, that he couldn’t decipher, and called Daniel in to interpret it for him. He says, “I see this huge head, this huge giant statue with a huge head of gold, with arms of silver, and a belly of brass and legs of iron. What is this?” Daniel says simply “That head of gold, that’s you. That’s the Babylonian Empire. But it’s about to be taken over by the arms of silver…” …the Persian Empire, only to be taken over by the Greeks with Alexander the Great, the belly of brass, and then finally taken by the legs of iron, the Roman Empire. And that’s how it went down. Historically accurate. But then there would be a new merging of ten nations that would take over where the Roman Empire left off. That would be these ten nations of Europe “mixed with iron and clay”, formed first by European textile unions to become a political European Union. You say, that’s where it goes off. There’s more then 10 nations in the EU. You’re right, there’s close to 28, but there were 10 when it started. In fact, within the twenty-some nations of the EU, this merging that provides the platform for the Antichrist to come out onto the world’s scene, there are now 10 nations that refer to themselves as the Western European Union, the WEU, the wealthiest of the EU. And it’s being headed up today by a man named Javier Solana. Javier Solana was the head of NATO, the secretary-general. And now the WEU, the strongest and wealthiest of the European nations, has just elected Solana to not only be the secretary-general of NATO, but its first constitutional foreign minister and spokesman for the council of the European Union. Watch the WEU. Watch Javier Solana. He’ll be in Washington DC, tomorrow January 4th meeting with Colin Powell and Condaleeza Rice, according to the information I’ve been given. There is a precedent here, and the world is wanting and waiting for a leader to appear. Do not be deceived. Ultimately, that is the goal of the Antichrist when he comes on the stage. To deceive. When it’s all said and done, you’ll take one of two marks. You’ll either be marked by the grace and love of God, through Jesus Christ His Son, having received the salvation that He came to give you when He died on the cross for your sins. Or you’ll receive the Mark of the Beast, the mark of this world. You say, “Well I don’t need that. I’ll just live my life out over here. I’ll ride the wave out there. I don’t know what you’re talking about. And if it all seems to begin to pan out and fall into place and things start to really get desperate and a deceiver does come out onto the stage… then maybe I’ll think about it.” I don’t know if you’ll have time to think about it then. The Bible says today is the day of salvation. That’s why you’re here. It’s no coincidence any of these things including you reading this thread right now. And if you think you can just be a spectator and just watch from the sidelines until it really gets bad… well if you learned anything from that tsunami, there was no time. God so wants us at the beginning of this new year to get serious about His Word, His timeclock, living for Him and redeeming the time. The Mark The third thing to watch for in 2005. Already, the technology and development is in place. More than that, it’s approved by the FDA, did you know that? In October of 2004, the Verichip product that’s been produced by Applied Digital Solutions, a company out of Florida, received approval by the US Food and Drug Administration, cleared for medical applications in the United States. This is a little chip, about the size of a grain of rice, that gets implanted under your skin. They’re already doing it in pets. In fact, you can’t adopt a pet in southern California without having a chip implanted in it. Why? So that it will never be lost. It makes a whole lot of sense. It’s amazing how the attitude of the world is already geared to embrace this implant chip. If it works for pets, then it will work for all our Alzheimer’s patients, we’d never lose another one. For kids, God forbid they be kidnapped or abducted. We’ll know exactly where they are. Did you read in the news that they’re implanting chips into all the dead bodies from the tsunami in SE Asia as they bury them in mass graves so that their families may be able to recognize them? It’s here. It’s now. Our lifetime. The Verichip. Approved by the FDA, and used not only for purposes of security or medical needs, but this chip will be used for our identification problems at the borders. Also, nobody will worry about the exchange of money or losing your wallet or purse, all your bank account information will be there right with you. The world, for this technology, will embrace it and say, “Brilliant!” But what really caught my eye was the latest press release from Applied Digital Solutions on December 8, 2004. They said this: Applied Digital’s Verichip Corporation has just signed on with 3 international distributors for the immediate release of the Verichip in southeast Asia. The 3 nations we’ve signed corporate agreements with include Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. And they have agreed together to purchase a minimum number of Verichips and scanners collectively totaling approximately 150,000 chips. UN: Tsunami Toll Approaches 150,000 That’s no coincidence to me at all. Another thing in October of 2004 that happened, I’m not sure if you noticed. A rather unique ceremony took place in the nation of Israel, probably only the 2nd of its kind in the past 1600 years. The Sanhedrin has been redeveloped. The highest Jewish tribunal and religious assembly of some 71 sages. It was around in the time of Christ, existed roughly until 425 A.D., disappeared, and 3 months ago, brought back, for the purpose of preparing the elements for the newly constructed Temple. Watch the Mount. Watch the Merge. Watch the Mark. It’s all taking place right now, in our lifetime. Do not be deceived. What you need to do is copy this entire post into one of the existing threads.
