I have one thought on aliens. If they have the technology of space travel why would they allow themselves to be captured by such a primitive species, us, as some people happened at Roswell? If they are so advanced then why do people keep seeing their spaceships if they are obviously trying to hide rather than reveal themselves? That's not to discount the possibility of aliens, it's very possible. It's just some points to ponder.

I find it interesting that until the 1940's or so the phenomena of aliens and alien abduction was practically unheard of. Prior to that the were other, different kinds of "extraterrestrials"
I find it interesting that in this "enlightened" age, the significant shift from demon(s)and demonic possessions to alien and alien abductions.
The phenomena while apparently different have similarities too similar to ignore.
Oh yeah and UFO sightings, lets just say that the governments do not tell the people everything....................... duck and cover.........duck and cover........
I'll leave it at that

darthOB1, I'd say that alien abductions, sightings of demons, and those of ghosts aren't even apparently different when enough of the details are looked at.
The whole thing of sleep paralysis ties them all together rather strongly.

Yep. Pretty much what I was getting at.
The switch from "demons" to "aliens" is due to the culture of scientific discovery and "enlightenment"
