Our friend and colleague Master_Sweetpea suggested that the stimulus check would be a great way to support gun manufacturers:
oh if you haven't decided what to do with you stimulus rebate, how about buy a gun!
I'm getting an AR-15 style stripped down lower receiver like this one, so i can build my own rifle this summer!
Personally I don't think this is where the stimulus check money is going. Some may remember me quoting this Kaiser Family Foundation Poll:
The poll listed gas prices as the number one economic concern for people living below the median household income in the U.S.:
Problems Experienced as a Result of Changes in the Economy,
by Household Income
Percent saying each was a “serious problem”
Problems paying for gas:
<$30k, 63%
$30-$75k, 43%
>$75k, 27%
If you ask me, the number one use of George Bush's stimulus check for people living at or below the median is going to be filling the gas tank. The stimulus check will fill up people's gas tanks through the summer, with the caveat that it will also drive up gas prices even further.
Basically, the stimulus check is going directly to the oil industry.

Meh...I dunno.
I was gonna get an iPod. But I ended up going with a Nintendo DS and the lastest Advanced Wars.
With the rest of it I bought a butt load of silver. It's the new gold, ya know.
But none went to oil.

just curious but when do we get those? I thought they were supposed to be mailed out last week? I haven't gotten mine yet

Most of mine went to my credit card and my fiancée's engagement ring. The rest I'll probably use to get her a nice present and pay a couple of bills.

why didn't you include the picture! 
But I'll have to drive to and from the gun show, so
I guess a big chunk will go to the oil companies, even thought that's not my plan.
If I was financially stable I would put down a deposit on a Phoenix MotorCars' SUT
If we want change we have to make it happen ourselves.
anyways, many of people will just use it for summer vacation money,
for fuel, or a cabin rental, or whatever.
my wife is using her half to get a body bug from eBay, the true open market.
Stimulus? Yes!
Inflation inducing? Maybe!
I doubt this will have any more impact than the $400 checks that we got when Lil'Bush took office.
But I see it as making things worse, if we just use it for fuel, the prices should rise accordingly.

Mine is going towards dental work that I wouldn't have to pay for directly if the USA had universal coverage for necessary medical and dental procedures, but since we don't have that for civilians (and I'm ineligible for military service anyhow) and company-provided dental insurance sucks like a giant industrial vacuum, my $600 will be making my dentist a little richer.
So I might be indirectly supporting the economy, since he not only gets his stimulus package, but can spend some of mine, too.

I made evelentybillion dollars so I didn't get a stimulus check. But if I did, I would have put it in the bank so I could make a few percentage points before paying off some bills.

Well, I checked the IRS' site, and they said that I can't be a dependent to get it when I was trying to figure out the amount. The test will be if I get it today or not, since I believe according to the schedule, if I were to get it, it would be today.

Well, I tomorrow I'm leaving for two weeks in Germany (visit my parents in Berlin), and plan on spending much of what amounts to my stimulus check there (though I won't get it until after I return). So, my money will be spent overseas.
Oops.
But that's if I do spend it all there. If not, I'll be putting it in the "Jifty really, really, really needs a new car.
