Stealing's wrong. No matter what. No matter who did it. No matter what was the circumstances. It's W-R-O-N-G!

That's all for now! Please post!

Basics of Christianity:

  • Believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, creator of Heaven and Earth and of all that is seen and unseen.

  • Believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only son of God eternally begotten of the Father: God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit, he was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate. He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again in fulfilment of the scriptures. He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.

  • Believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son]. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the prophets.

  • Believe in one, Holy, Universal, and Apostolic Church.

  • Acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

  • Look for the resurrection of the dead and the life in the world to come.

What is the difference between this and the other board?

Well, first of all, we should talk about doctrine, and should we take up 51 pages or more than the last one?

Do you...
believe in the Triune God? The Father, who created all things? The Son, who by him we have received eternal life? The Spirit, who creates within us the seed of belief, and nurtures it within us and helps us to grow in our faith and the Church to grow in numbers?

You could just continue the conversation in the last one.

Is this a discussion thread of some kind, or a "Sanctuary" thread where people come just to agree with each other? I thought the latter wasn't allowed here.

And as for the rest of your questions, the answer is no.

Actually, I wouldn't mind some more detailed explanation of 1) what this thread is supposed to be about and 2) why it's different from the other Christianity thread.

@DorkmanScott
Here's a thought: how about you actually try to contribute something to the conversation? If you wanna joke around, try the JCC, the senate is for serious discussion. Remember, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Now, I think this thread is a good idea, the old one was getting stale, and on its last legs I think.

EDIT: Dorkman's recent edit renders my above comments void.

It would help if I understood what the conversation was supposed to be, and how it's different from the previous conversation.

The Senate doesn't need two Christianity threads. We have a Christian thread, an atheist thread, and a stagnating interfaith chapel. That seems like enough. If there's agreement that this should be the Christianity thread, we can lock the other one.
