	Here's my thoughts: 1. My guess is that no matter if everything we would like to see in the AE comes true or not, Lucas will put them in the AE-2 ten years from now when technology changes or when he needs more moola 2. I agree that it would be cool to have multiple versions of the films on one DVD, but let's be honest, Lucas Marketing will never allow that. 3. Besides the effects in ROTJ, everyone is forgetting one major thing that needs to be updated: Cariie Fisher's "acting". 4. Lucas if you're reading this: TAKE THAT RIDICULAS LUKE SCREAM FROM ESB OUT!!! First it clearly was the Emperor's scream in ROTJ and, it was more dramatic when he didn't yell; it was more like "Vader's my pop, I just got my hand lopped off and I'm falling to my death - oh well" 5. While having Ian Mcdermind ( I totaly spelled that wrong) play the Emperor in ESB would be nice, it really isn't neccessary. We know who it's supposed to be. 6. Yoda should not be messed with in any way. He looked just fine 7. Take out the Rancor and put in Jar Jar. Yeah a big scary monster is frightening, but, Jar Jar would definatly traumatize me. Just for laughs think of the pig guard reacting to seeing him! 8. Have a couple fighters crash into the shield in ROTJ becuase they couldn't pull up in time 9. Show what happened to those freaking B-wings. One second they're there, then - gone. and finally 10. Add red to Vader's sabre when he walks to the blast door right before it closes in ANH - that still bugs me to this day. 	Christensen and Shaw are both white and have blue eyes. That's all you need. He has aged over 20 years by that time. No one is going to watch ROTJ and not believe they are the same character. It doesn't need changing. 	Why don´t you go talk to Binary_Sunset if you think changing the OT is so horrible? We really don´t need to get into such a heated debate over this. Nothing we say here will change whatever GL will do with his films anyway. Speculate and have fun, people!

	I'm not too anal about the SE's changes, but some of them do suck, it must be said. The only good thing about the SE's, really, is the cleaned-up picture and the overhauled original effects: the rest isn't that great, especially the heavily disrupted ending of Empire, and the dreadful song and dance routines in Jedi. Maybe a lot of the CGI stuff that was added to the SE's will be sub-standard to GL now, and hopefully, some of it will be axed, and some of it will be done again, and not by the junior departments of ILM: it MUST be done by the senior guys like Denis Muren and John Knoll. They really should sort out the Rancor in Jedi, too: it mystifies me why Jedi had so much superfluous crap added to it when the crappiest original effects in the entire Trilogy (the Rancor) weren't even cleaned up at all. They should scrap all of the Rancor footage and re-do it from scratch, using a CGI Luke-double where necessary(because they've gotten REALLY good at that). Other than that, I don't mind what Lucas adds to the films, as long as it is better than the SE stuff, because I'm a bit bored with the OT, having seen it too many times to count, and new stuff will make it a bit more interesting to watch, for me. -JDR. -----signature----- I am getting rather sick of being told constantly that the SW prequels suck.

	I would say the only thing i would think needs work is the Emperor in ESB, it's the PT that needs the work.

	If you want to see a cool depiction of Alderaan blowing up, check out the Manga version of ANH. Even if that stuff isn't your speed, it gives ideas as the way it could be done(instead of blowing right up, you see the people reaction on the planet, just before, then the laser burns a "hole" as it were through the planet, breaking it into pieces a moment before a series of explosions destroys the planet. It's a pretty cool effect:))

	Actually it would be "read" not see...Manga is Japanese comic books...and they did the OT as well as TPM as a different take on the saga. It also adds little stuff we don't see, but is jleft up to the imagination, like the encounter between the stormtroopers and jawas, which is kinda cool. Other than that said it's the exact same story, they didn't change it at all, and uses the same dialogue. You have to like Japanese Anime or Manga or get into it, but it's pretty cool. You can order it online at places like Animenation.com, or a lot of comic stores have them as well. Anyway, this is WAY off topic, so back you go But check it out, it really is kind of cool

	Thanx! Anywho, they should add a scene in ANH of the people of Alderaan, with Bail Organa and possibly Jar-Jar, before it is blown up by the Death Star. That little tid bit would add good continuity between the prequels and the original trilogy. Also, they could have Hayden replace Shaw as Anakin in ROTJ. 	Quit calling it "continuity." What you are talking about is graphic and gratuitous violence, which is exactly why it won't be shown in the film. 	You know what would be cool if they changed Luke going with Vader to the Death Star 2 to them going to Coruscant. Since Coruscant is in the PT, it's a good tie in. I say replace the death star with trade federation ships, instead of stupid model tie fighters, add digital naboo fighters. 	I agree...erase the scream in ESB, it was better without it in the original. I mean, Luke made a conscious decision to jump so why scream? Also, ditto for the Greedo shooting thing. So what if Han shoots first and kills the maggot. Why change it? I wish they could do something with the matte lines on the rancor. I'm sure you can go in and blend those in with the background more...shoot you can do that in photoshop. I hope that in ep. III George doesn't try to tie up all the loose ends, how boring would that be? I'd rather have something to debate about in these boards with our own conclusions on different aspects of SW.
