Does anyone remember the Yoda farting in ROTS rumor?
That wasn't a rumour. That was actually in the earlier script. It was either Yoda on Chewie's back escaping from Kashyyyk, or Yoda and Kenobi sneaking around Coruscant.
They were covered in mud and grass to hide their appearance and Yoda let one go.
He was one with the farts.

-Aunecah
thats not the most irritating but it really is story breaking now that i think about it. midichlorines take the saga from mythical (the force) to scientifical (midichlorines)
i hate how darth maul died too, they shouldve given him an epic fight.
i HATE the saber duel in the episode 4.
and i hate that palpatine killed 3 jedi master without even breaking a sweat.

Nah, not so much. ROTJ already established that being strong in the Force runs in the Skywalker family. Hence, biological connection. Way ahead of 1999.

That fight wasn't epic enough for you?

naw i mean his fight with obi wan, they shouldve actually fought, he won on a technicality, anakin beat dooku with skill, obi wan beat maul with...i dont know luck.
and the force runs in all bloodlines, a force sensitive will have children that are force sensitive. but that doesnt really make it a scientifical connection. when they introduced the midi, it kinda made me feel like these little guys control the universe and they use sentients as tools. i dont know i just didnt like it too much.

I agree. They could've just kept saying the Force was strong in families. They didn't need a new layer of explanation and a fancy scientific-like name to go along with it.
Besides, all it did was coinfuse people so that still today we have people who think midis = the force.
Lucas overthought that whole thing IMHO.

"The Force is strong in the Skywalker family" is for a reason. So they gave the reason a name. So what?
And it is a scientific connection. Unless you believe Force-strength running in a bloodline, automatically, to be somehow "mythical".
Also, why is it Lucas' fault if someone watches TPM and comes away with "midis = the Force" when that's NOT what Qui-Gon said?

I agree the fault lies with the viewer who comes away thinking the midichlorians are the Force (especially 9 years after the release of TPM, lol). Perhaps these viewers were not paying close attention to the spoken dialogue, since Q-G clearly says that midi's are messengers of the Force, not the Force itself.
I am a strong proponent of the "SW is myth" idea (see my sig, below), but it's also quite evident that the Galaxy Far Far Away is one that operates on scientific principles. The midi's are merely a means of conveying this mystical energy field to the physiological apparatus of our cells. They also quantify Force-power, which we already knew existed by degrees from the OT {"The Force is strong in this one"), and they describe the mechanics by which such power is passed down -- a reasoned explanation of inherited genetic traits to which my logical mind is naturally attracted.

I just think it would've worked just great if it was genetics, family lineage, and all that without the addition of midis and the "well Jimmy" speech Qui-Gon gives to little Annie.

In TPM, when Qui-Gon dies. That irratated me to no extent! I mean, he was like, the best Jedi ever! Besides Obi-Wan Kenobi of course. Oh. C-3PO bothers me, too. He's so annoying and monotone!

Obi-Wan. I despise Obi-Wan. Two scenes 1: "You were a brother to me Anakin!" While letting him be immolated in a volcano, that's the Jedi way eh? 2:"Your father was killed Luke blah blah blah..." While training him to kill his father more of the Jedi way eh?

The thing that irritates me is Jar Jar. C-3PO was comic relief in the OT and should have stayed that way, not partial, in the PT.

to Ziekfried,
You must remember that when Obi-Wan is talking to ANAKIN at the end of ROTS. When Anakin turned to the dark side he was no longer Anakin but Darth Vader.

Yeah, I always thought the scene should have gone like this:
Obi Wan: Anakin, you betrayed the Jedi order and helped kill them all off, including the youngest children, mercilessly slaughtered separatists that should have had a formal trial, choked out your wife and tossed her aside trailer trash style, and tried to kill me...I gave you one last chance and you still attacked me...buuuuut...here, let me give you a hand.
Anakin: I hate you!
